Disclaimer: A do not own Avatar, nor will I ever. Because if I did, I would totally make the show not end!

Chapter 1-”We’re Off to See the Dragon!”

In the early hours of the morning, everyone in Ba Sing Se was fast asleep. Everyone except the Avatar. Aang’s short black hair tasseled in the light breeze as he mounted his giant sky bison. As Aang took to the sky, the sun began to rise. The sky went from a light gray blue, to orangeish, redish , blue. Aang smiled as he gave Appa a push forward.

“Come on buddy Yip Yip!” Aang flicked the reins, Appa let out a growl and continued forward. Aang liked being in the air. It gave him time to think things through. Aang tried to keep his mind on flying, but it drifted to other things.

For some reason, Aang couldn’t wrap around his mind that the war was over. Almost a week ago, Aang had faced Ozai, defeated him by taken away his bending, and locking him up forever. Katara and Zuko, managed to beat Azula and lock her up as well. Zuko was crowned Fire Lord, and the whole world began to rebuild itself. Aang smiled to himself, the realization had begun. He flew Appa around for a few more minutes before touching down outside the house. He motioned for Appa to go out back, and he reluctantly went. Aang walked into the house and looked around. It had appeared that no one was awake yet, so he decided to just relax and wait. He made his way to the couch , and sat comfortably on it. He let his eyes close slightly, and before he knew it, he had fallen asleep.

Suddenly, Aang’s head filled with a nightmare. He dreamt about what would have happened if Ozai had conquered him, and how the world wouldn’t be like it was now. In his nightmare, Aang had tried to take Ozai’s bending, but his bad energy was too powerful. It engulfed Aang, and suddenly, he couldn’t bend anymore. He fell to the ground staring up at Ozai. The realistic vision of Ozai mocked Aang. “You have all the power in the world, but you are still weak!” Ozai mocked. And as Ozai let out an evil chuckle, he delivered the final blow. Aang watched as his eyes engulfed in flames. The nightmare seemed so real, he was lost in the thought of his doom. Fortunately, this was only a dream, and reality had turned out much better. Suddenly, he felt someone shaking him. He opened his eyes to see it was only Katara.

“Sorry, Katara, I just had a little nightmare.” Katara stared at him, and her expression changed from worried to happy. She gave him a small hug, and a quick kiss on the lips. Aang returned her hug and kiss. He stood up and squeezed her hand in comfort.

“So did you sleep well?” Aang smiled towards her, his eyes shining. Katara was still a bit worried about what Aang’s nightmare was but she pushed it out of her head.

“I slept wonderfully! How about you?” Katara asked. Aang answered her with a happy smile.

“I slept like a monkey sloth!” Aang gave Katara an enthusiastic smile, but Katara just looked at him funny, she didn’t get the joke.

“Well that’s good that you slept ok. I mean, its been a while since we all got good sleep.” Katara followed Aang as he walked around the kitchen. Suddenly, Sokka came slandering out of his bedroom, looking well rested, but tired at the same time.

“Could you guys not be so lovey-dovey this early in the morning.” Sokka said arrogantly. Katara clenched her fists, before Aang said ow, and Katara realized she was still holding his hand. She let go and gave him an apologetic smile, then went back to glaring at Sokka.

“Could you not be so arrogant and insensitive so early in the morning?” Katara scoffed back. Aang smiled, for some reason, he found it enjoyable that Katara and Sokka seemed to fight about the stupidest of things.

“You know, you guys should be lucky you have each other, I have no brothers or sisters.” Everyone’s eyes darted to the person who just spoke. Out of the bedroom, looking very irritable, was Toph. Her hair was in wild crazy places, that no one knew how they got like that. Toph feebly made her way over to the couch and then collapsed onto it. She looked up to see, well not see, but sense Aang standing over her.

“What’s up Twinkle Toes.” She managed to spill out, regardless on how tired she was. She sensed Katara was very angry and wanted to seriously injure Sokka. Katara let out a breath and her anger disappeared.

“You’re right Toph. Sokka, I am sorry…..that your so insensitive!!” Katara smiled mischievously. She knew it was mean for her to say that, but she thought back to all the mean things Sokka has said to her. Aang walked over to Katara and put his arm around her.

“Come on Katara, just ignore him. It doesn’t matter if we act ‘lovey-dovey’ around our friends.” Aang had put air quotes around Sokka’s ‘lovey-dovey’ comment. He gave Katara a kiss on the cheek and smiled. Katara blushed. She loved having the Avatar as her boyfriend. After a few minutes of silence, Aang spoke again.

“So now that everyone is awake, we can talk about what we’re going to do today. I believe Iroh invited us to his Grand Re-Opening of the Jasmine Dragon. I heard that Zuko, Mai, Ty Lee and Suki will be there. We could get dressed and head over there!”

“Yeah! It would be fun!” Katara said smiling. From the couch, Toph let out a small grunt in approval. Sokka conjured a girly squeal. It had been a while since he had seen Suki, since she went back to Kyoshi to help rebuild her village. Katara giggled.

“Well I think Sokka wants to go, seeing as, he hasn’t seen his girlfriend in a while.” Katara giggled. Aang smiled brightly.

“Ok well I guess everyone should get ready, and then we can walk over together!” Aang sounded a little bit over energetic, but Katara liked his energy.

“Alright everyone, let’s meet outside in 30 minutes.” Everyone separated and went into the rooms to get ready.

Chapter 2- ”Delicious Tea, and Separation?”

Aang stood outside waiting for everyone else to get ready. Since he had already been outside once today, so he was already ready. He fumbled with his fingers as he leaned against the wall of the house. He randomly spoke to Appa and Momo from time to time. Suddenly, Aang looked up to see Katara walking gracefully out of the house. She wore a pair of white shorts and a light blue tank top. Her hair was placed in a messy bun on top of her head, with little strands of hair falling in front of her face. Aang blushed.

“Wow, you look beautiful!” He gave her another kiss on the lips. Katara released from Aang and took a quick look at him. He wore a pair of brown shorts and a red shirt.

“You don’t look so bad yourself”, She replied. She walked over and leaned against the wall, just as Aang had did moments earlier. Aang stood there next to Katara against the wall. He began twiddling his fingers again. Katara stood awkwardly against the wall.

“So…..” Katara began but couldn’t finish. For once, she had nothing to talk about with Aang. She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly.

“Katara.” “Aang.” They both had both spoken at the same time. Aang smiled.

“You go first.” Katara sighed, blushed, and finally spoke.

“I wanted to say….I am really glad we are finally together.” Katara spit out. She stood frozen against the wall. She blushed a furious red and didn’t look Aang in the face. Aang chuckled.

“Oh is that all! You had me worried for a second!” Katara giggled and punched him playfully on the arm.

“Well…” Katara said in a say-something-romantic-back kind of voice.

“Oh!” Aang exclaimed. “I am glad you’re my girlfriend.” Aang smiled and gave Katara a small kiss on the cheek. Sokka and Toph walked out to notice Aang kissing Katara.

“Come on guys! Is this going to happen every time I see you from now on!” Sokka said in an arrogant way. Katara glared at him again, but decided to control her anger.

“Ok well since everyone is ready lets go!” Aang did a back flip in the air, using his air bending. Toph’s mood only improved slightly. She replied hilariously to Aang.

“Could you be more excited Twinkle Toes?” she laughed and through a small rock in Aang’s direction. It didn’t hit him, but hey, at least she tried, I mean she is blind. They all continued walking to the Jasmine Dragon. Today was the Grand Re-Opening, and Iroh has invited the whole gang back together. They walked down the streets of Ba Sing Se. Many faces smiled at them, since they were all heroes for saving the world, even though Aang was the one that stopped Ozai. They continued making their way down the street and finally arrived at the Jasmine Dragon. The shops glorious green and gold walls, the name perfectly painted at the top, and the magnificent dragon at the top, completed the shop. Aang pulled back the doors to see Iroh, Zuko, Mai, Ty Lee, and Suki. Sokka’s face lit up and he ran over to Suki, hugging her tightly and kissing her lips gently. Katara, Toph, and Aang, gave everyone a smile and a wave. After a few moments of silence, Iroh was the first to speak.

“So everyone! Welcome to the Grand Re-Opening of the Jasmine Dragon!” Everyone clapped and Iroh bowed.

“Thanks to the Avatar,” Iroh made a hand signal towards Aang, and everyone clapped again. “I can now have my shop here peacefully in Ba Sing Se without being a refugee.” Everyone clapped again, and Aang’s head seemed to grow bigger. Katara playfully punched him in the arm. Then it went silent again. This time Katara spoke.

“So Zuko…I mean Fire Lord Zuko! How is everything in the Fire Nation now that the war is over?” Katara smiled kindly and noticed everyone looking at her. Zuko looked over at Katara and then everyone else.

“Well so far, I have the troops working on repairing the damage they did in all the nations. I am sorry to say, there is no way we can repair the air nomad wipeout though. Sorry Aang.” Aang frowned and let his head hang low. Katara put her arms around him, and he felt comforted so he put on a smile. Again, more silence. Iroh was busily ore oaring tea for everyone. Katara walked over and began to hand tea out to everyone. Once everyone had a cup and was relaxed, Toph spoke.

“I have to ask, does anyone else feel empty now? I mean since the war is over, there really aren’t that many fun crazy adventures for us to go on together. And I kind of miss being a hero.” Toph sighed and sipped her tea.. Everyone took Toph’s sentence into mind. She was right after all. The world was pretty much perfectly safe, so there wasn’t any adventures they could go on. Katara took this closely to mind.

“Well I guess, most of us could….go home.” Katara thought about leaving Aang. She couldn’t see it and tears began to fill in her eyes. She wiped them away before they could flow. Toph then spoke again.

“Yeah, well let’s see. Zuko and Mai live at the palace in the Fire Nation. Suki and Ty Lee live on Kyoshi. Katara and Sokka, you guys could go back to the South Pole, and of course Twinkle Toes, will follow where ever the Sugar Queen goes. That leaves me. I cant go home. I am a runaway.“ Tears fell down Toph’s face, and Katara gives her a comforting hug, which she seemed to be full of today.

“I am really sorry Toph.” Katara said sweetly. She looked at everyone else, who felt pain for Toph. “Well frankly, I don’t want to go home….I like it here, where its warm, instead of the frozen waste land we have at home in the South Pole.“ Katara sat matter of factly. Aang felt a little embarrassed. Toph was right, wherever Katara went, he would go with her, but he hoped she didn’t want to go back to the South Pole. This time Sokka spoke.

“Well Katara, the only thing we have to go home to is Gran Gran and Grandpa Pokku. Dad is with a water tribe fleet to help repair the North Pole.” Sokka sighed and Suki gave him a comfort squeeze. “And, I agree with you, I like it here in the warm, instead of the cold.” Everyone laughed, since they really didn’t know what snow and cold was like.

“Well, we could all just stay here, well when I say we, I mean, Katara, Sokka, Toph, and I. Because no offense to the rest of you but, Zuko you got duties as the Fire Lord, Mai, you’ll stay with Zuko, Ty Lee and Suki, I assume you want to stay on Kyoshi with the other warriors.” Aang was right after all. But this would be so they didn’t have to separate.

“Well for now, why don’t we just enjoy being together and drink some nice tea!” Iroh chuckled and held his belly, which got everyone else laughing.

Chapter 3- “The Clash of Meat and Trout”

Everyone had, had a good day at the Jasmine Dragon. Everyone said good-bye to Suki and Ty Lee, before they went back to Kyoshi, and said goodbye to Zuko and Mai as they headed back to the Fire Nation. That left Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph. They walked home in silence, the sun setting behind them. For a few moments no one spoke, and then suddenly Katara spoke.

“Well I had a good day, I don’t know about you guys.” Katara smiled sweetly. She always had to be the kind and caring one. The one that always cheered people up. Toph shrugged her shoulders and muttered.

“Yeah, it was an alright day. How about you Twinkle Toes?” Toph asked.

“My day was fine is always fine, as long as I spend it with Katara.” Aang smiled at Katara and she blushed. She put her arm around him and they gave each other a quick kiss. Sokka stuck his tongue out and made a gag sound, which only made Katara angry.

“You know what Sokka! I am tired of you doing that! Have you seen some of the stuff you and Suki do? Zuko told me about that night he walked in on you and Suki, almost ready to have a romantic evening together!” Katara smiled evilly. She hoped this would stop the teasing towards her and Aang. Sokka’s forehead grew hot as he glared at Katara.

“Ok, yeah! You want to know the real reason I do that, its because you’re my little sister, and no offense Aang, but any guy that is like that with my little sister, just angers me or something! I don’t know!” Sokka looked away still angry. He wished Katara hadn’t told them about what him and Suki almost did. Katara looked at her brother a little concerned.

“Awww! Sokka!” Katara ran over and gave her brother a hug. “I didn’t know that you cared about me that much!” She hugged him again, and then went back over to holding hands with Aang. “But you’re just going to have to except, that me and Aang are boyfriend and girlfriend.” She smiled at Aang sweetly and giggled. They continued walking home and finally made it back to the house. Sokka was the first to speak when they entered.

“Alright! Who’s making dinner?” Aang raised his hand and pulled out the bag of trout he had caught earlier that morning. Sokka made another gag sound and charged over to Aang.

“No! Absolutely not! I am tired of trout! My stomach craves for meat!” Sokka smiled and took the trout from Aang’s hands. “We are going to have some meat for dinner tonight!” Sokka went back to the freezer and pulled out some meat. He smiled as he began to prepare it. Aang stared at him with anger.

“Come on Sokka, you can live without meat! Sorry that I don’t like to eat dead animals!” Aang forehead grew hot. “We’re having trout!” Aang grabbed the trout back and bumped Sokka out of the way. Now it was Sokka’s turn to get angry.

“You know what! Fine let’s take vote! Who wants meat and who wants trout!” Sokka looked at Katara and Toph for support. They just stood there giggling. Katara just laughed.

“Sorry boys but I am not getting in this. For once, you guys work it out yourselves!” Toph continued laughing.

“Actually I would prefer meat. Sorry Aang. But I am tired of trout.” Toph sat at the dinner table, and waited for the food. Katara sat on the couch still giggling. Aang just gave up. He slammed the trout back into the freezer and sat on the couch next to Katara. He looked at her with puppy dogs eyes.

“Why didn’t you vote for trout?” Aang said questioningly. Katara smiled.

“I am sorry Aang. But I am tired of trout as well. I know you don’t like to eat animals. If you want I can make the trout just for you!” Aang’s face lit up slightly.

“Thank you Katara.” Katara looked down at Aang and gave him a sweet kiss on the lips. She wrapped her arms around his head and ran her fingers through his hair. She released from him “By the way! I am glad you decided to grow your hair back!” Katara smiled and went to cook the trout for Aang. Aang laid on the couch sulking. He got up a few times to check on the food, but other than that, he laid on the couch.

“Ok dinner’s ready!” Katara and Sokka said at the same time. The dinner table was set and everyone sat down. Aang looked down at his place. The trout was actually cooked better than he every could’ve cooked it.

“Thanks for the trout Katara!” Aang smiled and winked at Katara. Katara smiled back. Everyone began eating, and of course the person to finish first was Sokka. He made a loud burp and rubbed his belly.

“Ahh! Good old meat! I missed you!” Sokka picked at his teeth arrogantly. Katara and Aang just glared at him. Toph seemed to eat rather slowly, but still finished before Aang and Katara. Soon everyone finished and began cleaning up. Sokka cleared the table and put the dishes in the sink. That’s when Aang and Katara took over with washing them.

“So….did you enjoy your trout?” Katara asked questioningly . Aang smiled.

“Actually, I enjoyed it very much!” He smiled back at Katara and continued washing the dishes.

“Well I am glad you enjoyed it! I made it with all my love!” Katara giggled and threw some bubbles at Aang. Aang gasped and threw some back. Before they both knew it, there was a bubble and water fight. Both of them being water benders, water got everywhere! By the time the dishes go finished, they were both drenched along with everything else around them. Sokka sat on the couch angry and soaked and Toph just laughed. Aang and Katara used water bending to dry everything off, and soon the house was back to normal. Katara yawned and stretched her arms in the air.

“Well I think its time for me to turn in for the night. Good night everyone!” She stretched her arms again. She walked over gave her brother a hug. She then gave Toph a high five, which took several times to hit, and then finished by giving Aang a sweet kiss good night that left him speechless. Then everyone seemed to yawn simultaneously.

“Well, good night everyone!” said Sokka, Toph, and Aang, at the same time. They all went to they’re separate bedrooms, to get a good night sleep.

Chapter 4- “Water Dueling and Romantic Evening

Katara quietly tiptoed into her bedroom. The house was completely quiet now.

“Perfect!” Katara whispered. She stepped out into the living room. Before making her way across the floor, she swiveled her head to see if anyone was around. Katara could have sworn that she stepped on every creak in the entire house. She opened the door as slowly as she could and stepped outside. Tonight was a full moon. Katara especially enjoyed nights like this, since her bending was the strongest. Being she wasn’t much of a hero anymore, then she had no one to fight, but she could just bend for the heck of it. She walked calmly to the fountain in the middle of the town.. She stared up at the bright moon that shone in her bright blue eyes. Katara took a deep breath and began to bend. She let the water flow through her hands, in the air, and all around her. It felt good to be this powerful. She was having a pretty good time, until she got the feeling someone was watching her. She stopped bending for the time being and began to search the area. She darted around buildings and behind street lights. It appeared that no one was threre, suddenly out of the shadows, Aang appeared. Katara made a loud gasp, and swear she almost fainted.

“Sorry for startling you Katara. I knew you might come out tonight, seeing as it’s a full moon.” He came closer to Katara, and stood right under the moonlight. He smiled at her, to show that he was sorry for startling her. Katara let her gasp out and punched Aang in the shoulder.

“Don’t ever do that to me again, I thought someone was going to attack me, though that’s kind of what I wanted, seeing as I wanted to use my powerful bending in some kind of fight.” Katara giggled. “So Aang, I had an idea, but I am not sure you will be up for it?” Katara gave Aang a mischievous smile, which of course Aang couldn’t say no too.

”It depends what it is. If you’re thinking the same thing as me, then I would love too!” Aang puckered his lips before getting slapped in the face by water. He opened his eyes to see Katara still smiling mischievously. “What was that for!” Aang exclaimed out loud. He wiped the water off his face.

“Well I was going to ask you if you wanted to have water duel. But apparently, you weren’t thinking the same thing as me.” Katara giggled. “You know I can kick your butt, because when I do, I am going to tell everyone, that the big bad Avatar, got beaten by his own girlfriend!” Katara giggled again. She greatly enjoyed teasing Aang, more than she did kissing him, well maybe not…. ”So do you want to duel or not?” Katara got some water in her hands ready to strike. “And just because you can control the avatar state, that doesn’t mean you can use it against me now!” Katara started laughing now. She held her stomach in tight. Before she knew it, she fell back, after Aang hit her with some water. Her face turned from hilarity to serious. She got some water in her hands and made a small ice ball, but then she thought it might hurt Aang, so she changed it into a regular ball. “So I guess your answer is a yes then!” Katara smiled and sent the ball towards Aang, which of course he dodged.

“Well of course! I would have the pleasure of dueling my girlfriend, when both of our bending is at its peak!” Aang took a stream of water and shot it towards Katara, but she deflected it and shot it back. It hit Aang on the side of the head, and got his short dark hair, soaked. He wiped the water away.

“Come on Katara is that the best you got?” Aang said giving Katara a cocky smile. Looking at her surrounding, Katara managed to glance at the fountain. Suddenly she had flashes of her situation with Azula, on the day of the comet. She had managed to freeze her, and then lock her up. Her lips formed up at the corners of her mouth and performed an evil grin. She did a back flip (which Ty Lee taught her) and landed on the fountain. Aang looked slightly confused but chased after her. As soon as Aang got close enough, Katara brought the water up and froze it. Aang was inches away from her face. She blew steam out of her nose, which immediately unfroze her. She began to maneuver through the water, to try and find a way to make Aang vulnerable, even if he already was. Suddenly, the water was unbearable. Bubbles began coming from her mouth and she struggled to breath. With out her knowledge, Aang began to maneuver through the water as well. He noticed Katara struggling to breath, and with his hands, he dropped the water from around them. Katara and Aang fell to the ground below the fountain, both gasping for air. Katara looked up at Aang and started giggling, which got Aang laughing as well. Katara was the first to speak.

“Well that was fun!” Katara said through giggles as she rung water out of her hair. Her pajamas now soaking wet, but she didn’t seem to mind. Aang smiled and continued laughing with Katara. That’s when he began to notice her distinct laugh. It was soft, but strong, just like her personality. He smiled and stopped laughing. He got off the ground and sat at the edge of the fountain. He grabbed Katara’s hand and pulled her up to the edge of the fountain. For some odd reason (and it really wasn’t odd), he couldn’t stop staring into Katara’s bright blue eyes. With the full moon shining in them, they were just as gorgeous. Aang couldn’t stop staring at Katara. He smiled shyly and finally spoke.

“Yeah that was….a lot of fun….” His voice sounded distracting, and Katara could sense it. She smiled shyly back at Aang. He looked back into her eyes. “Yeah know. Your are so beautiful!” He sounded so cool and casual. He could sense his face getting inches and inches closer to Katara’s, and hers getting closer to his. Soon they were so close that they could kiss. Aang stared deeply into Katara’s eyes and she stared deeply back at his. Katara’s lips formed a small but caring smile.

“Thank you. Very much Aang.” She closed her eyes gently and inched closer to Aang. Finally they’re lips met. Aang’s were slightly cold from the water, but they were still comforting. Like everyone, Aang’s lips had a certain taste. Katara couldn’t put her finger on it, but it tasted…nice. Aang seemed to taste Katara’s lips too. He thought she tasted like, strawberries. Their kiss lasted what seemed like years. Aang had his arms around Katara’s back and Katara had her hands on Aang’s neck. They pulled apart after a while, slightly breathless. Katara smiled sweetly and muttered, “Thanks.” At that moment, they both new, their nightly experience of water dueling and romance was over. Aang grabbed Katara’s hand and they walked back to the house in silence. Katara and Aang couldn’t stop smiling. Both had thoughts of the eventful evening. They arrived at the house, it still quiet and dark. They walked in the living room quietly. They stood in silence for a while just hugging. They never really got this alone time together, with Sokka always being around, with Toph it really didn’t matter since she was blind. Katara released from Aang and gave him a quick, but soft and sweet kiss on the lips. She waved to him gracefully and hoped off to bed feeling happy.

“Good night.” Aang said quietly. He watched her walk away and shut the bedroom door behind her. He couldn’t help but be happy. His time with Katara was always great, and tonight was no different. He walked into his bedroom thinking about the love of his life. He smiled to himself as he crawled into bed. His eyes seem to shut immediately, and of course, the someone that clouded his dreams, was Katara.

Chapter 5- “The Invitation”

Once again, it was morning in Ba Sing Se. In the house of the Team Avatar, everyone was fast asleep. Suddenly there was a light tap on the door. The house stayed quiet, which appeared no one had heard the tap. So the person on the outside began tapping louder. Some of the gaang, rolled over in there beds, but they all continued to sleep. The person on the outside grew quite impatient. The knock was no longer a tap, but instead, a bang. Sokka jolted upright in his bed, his hair in a messy ball on his head. He lazily walked to the door and was facing a fire nation messenger. He let out a tired groan and the guest at the door seemed slightly frightened.

“Ummmm….sorry to wake you on this fine morning sir, but you have a message from Fire Lord Zuko.” The messenger handed the message to Sokka and tiptoed away quickly. Sokka looked at the clock on the wall. It was still so early. He let out another groan.

“Thanks Zuko…..” Sokka slammed the door shut and threw the message on the table without even bothering to read it. He basically slept walk to the couch and collapsed on it with a thud. Soon he was back to sleep. It took Toph awhile, but she finally came out of her bedroom. She walked over to the door and opened it. After a few moments no one spoke.

“Hello!” Toph shouted scratching her head. Sokka jolted up again, but this time it was on the couch.

“What! What’s going on huh??” Sokka was sputtering out questions before looking over to see Toph. He started chuckling like mad! “Sorry Toph. I kind of already answered the door.” He was still laughing, while Toph glared at him. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and made her way over to the couch, sitting down next to Sokka. Sokka looked around curiously. It was early and Katara and Aang were still not awake yet, being all ‘lovey-dovey’

“Hmmm…its kind of weird. Its early and Katara and Aang aren’t awake yet?” Toph looked towards where she thought Sokka was.

“Eh. I don’t frankly care. I don’t want them up to be ‘lovey-dovey’ and hear you complain about it.” She smiled to herself. She felt that was payback enough for being woken up. Toph made a big yawn and stretched her arms. “Well who was at the door? I mean that is the reason I am out here awake.” She frowned, she hated being woken up early, but at least she wasn’t alone, or she would’ve gone back to sleep.

“Oh!” Sokka exclaimed loudly, now that he was completely awake. He ran over to the table and picked up the note from Zuko. He opened it, as he walked back over to Toph. He tore open the message, throwing the envelope on the floor. He skimmed the message, many times before comprehending it. “Well to me it seems that there is a royal ball at the Fire Nation Palace. And Zuko has invited all of us. Maybe I can ask Suki to come.” Sokka smiled. Suki. The girl he was totally head over heals in love with. Toph just scoffed at him. She was used to going to all kinds of balls, and dances since her parents were so rich.

“Well I guess if you guys wanted to go, I will go. I am definitely sure Twinkle Toes and Sugar Queen will want to go.” Before the words came out of her mouth, Katara and Aang came out of their bedrooms simultaneously yawning.. They smiled at each other as they made there way over by they’re friends. Katara yawned again.

“So what was the whole banging on the door this morning? “ Katara raised her arms over her head letting out another yawn. She looked towards her brother, thinking Toph couldn’t have known who was at the door. Sokka glanced at his sister, who’s hand was already linked with Aang’s. He made a gag sound in his mind, knowing if he did it out loud, his sister would attack him.

“It was a Fire Nation messenger, giving us an invitation to a ball at the Fire Nation Palace. I think Zuko invited us.” Sokka didn’t care about a ball, unless he was able to invite Suki. But he couldn’t ask her to come back so quickly. For all he knew, she probably wasn’t even home yet. Katara’s face lit up at the sound of her brothers news. She took the letter from his hands, still smiling.

“Oh! A dance how lovely!” Katara looked at the unexcited faces of Aang and Sokka. She assumed Aang was still tired from the evenings events. But the reason for Sokka being unexcited was because Suki wouldn’t be joining him.

“Who cares about dances anyway, besides stupid girls and Aang.” Sokka flashed a cocky smile at his sister, which Katara sent a glare back.

“Oh so are you saying I am stupid?” Katara was starting to get angry. Her brother always found the right ways to push her buttons. She clenched her right fist, since her left hand was enclosed in Aang’s. Finally Aang let out a yawn and spoke.

“I think a ball would be fun! I mean, the last time we actually had a party or dance, was when we had a secret dance party for the kids from that Fire Nation School.” Aang shot a glance at Katara who blushed. That night her and Aang had a very, closely heated, sexy dance. “Would you go with me Katara.” Aang picked up Katara’s hand and kissed it gently. This only made Katara blush even more.

“Of course I’ll go with you Aang!” Katara’s lips curved into a big smile then went back to glaring at Sokka.

“Well of course all of us expecting you two to go together!” Toph said arrogantly. “I don’t really like dances that much, because I sort of don’t know how?” Toph frowned and looked up at her friends. “It’s ok you guys can go without me. I don’t mind. I will just stay here with Momo.” Momo made a squawk from behind the couch. Katara’s face turned away from Sokka and formed into a concerned smile.

“Toph, its ok. I can teach you how to dance! It would be fun. And Aang will help! Right?” She shot a puppy-dog look at Aang, and he let out a reluctant groan that meant yes.

“Ok fine. I lied. I do know how to dance, but I don’t like it. Its like someone is just controlling me. I will go, but don’t expect me to get on the dance floor!” Toph gave Katara a small smile and before she knew it, she was pulled into a hug

“I am glad you’ll be coming Toph. What about you Sokka?” Sokka had been wanting to avoid this question, but he knew the answer had to be yes, or she would turn it into a big argument. Sokka let out a huge sigh and said,

“Fine. I will go. Its not like there is anything better to do.” Katara’s face lit up once more and she gave her brother a hug to. “But we had better hurry and get ready. To get to the fire nation, it will take us a few hours of flying, and the dance starts in 5 hours so everyone just……” Sokka was cut off. Katara had already sped back to her bedroom to get ready. “Gosh Katara is such a girl.” He shot a glance towards Aang who just shrugged his shoulders and smiled. Sokka sighed and went to get ready himself, his stomach growling from hungry. Well he will get something to eat after he’s ready. Toph feeling she was left alone, just went back to her bedroom in silence. Aang just watched as all his friends walked away. He reluctantly got off the couch and walked around the living room. He tiptoed quietly towards Katara’s bedroom door. He pressed his ear to the wooden surface, and could hear Katara faintly humming as she dashed around her room. He knocked lightly, and heard her gasp, before opening the door. The moment she saw his she smiled.

“Thanks for wanting to take me to the dance Aang, I absolutely love getting all dressed up. Especially for you!” She smiled again and gave him a tiny kiss on his arrow. “Now shoo! So I can get ready!” She slowly pushed Aang out of the bedroom and closed the door behind him. Aang pressed his ear against the door once more, to listen to Katara humming again. He smiled and went to get ready for the dance as well.
