Im pretty much venting here. But has anyone here been accused of something they didnt do because of the clothes they wear?
I just got home moments ago to see a fire truck at the Elm. school 10 ft away. When i went over there to see what happened they jumped all over me.This isnt the first time. Apparently some kid had pointed out that some "gothics" had threatened them and then threatened to burn the school down. They said those kids were Christal and Hannah.. being my sister and I. Of course we had just gotten back from the store and had been gone all day. Last time it was the same thing except they said that we smashed the windows open in the school.. which we did not.Its really frustraiting because theyre targetting us because of our style of dress.
I was just curious, has anyone else has been subject to this sort of prejudice. Whats your story?

I'm actually happy to say my school has a uniform so we would never have to go through that = I am so sorry that you have to...
My story isn't as bad and actually amuses me. I tend to dress in an array of different styles, but being that I my favourite pair of pants are black and "goth" looking whenever I wear them I tend to look very "goth." If you know me IRL (or even online) I'm a very nice person, very loud, happy, and extremely childish--I'm basically just a giant 4-year-old haha. Anyway, when people first see me dressed like this they tend to be intimidated or frightened by me or even give me nasty looks or roll their eyes until they see how I act. A new friend of mine even said that she didn't want to talk to me because she was afraid I'd hex her or something XD. I find it so silly, because I don't even wear make-up so I just don't understand how people would even think I was "goth." I think that judging people by their clothes is just ignorant and wrong, as we New Yorkers would say "You dun know me so dun ac' like you do, aight?"

People can be so rediculous. I like that saying. I live in Seattle..were not into fashion down here soo.. its really uncommon.

Whats your story? i get a bit more ridicule than most kids and teachers tend to either love me or hate me for the way i look. however, idiots spread rumors all the time that my boyfriend is "planning to bomb the school" or "carries a gun with him" and he's gotten plenty of "random" drug searches on him. of course, all this these things ended up to be absolutely nothing.

Even though i had nothing on me...I was emergency expelled. I wonder why people do that? Does the school ever get tired of checking your boyfriends backpack and stuff and start talking to the people that tell on him?Because if hes comming up innocent everytime ...its their job to.

I have made it a tradition to wear my tiara every day to school, even if I'm not dressing lolita (like today. Jeans and an old navy sweater.).
Today I was walking from biology to my locker and some girl (I didn't even see who) yelled "Why do you wear a f***ing crown everyday, you slut?!" I got sent to the office for 'causing a disturbance in the hall'.
Well, 1. I wear it because I have the courage to stand out. Unlike everyone else, who just wears everyone elses clothes. 2) I wear it because I like it. and 3) I'm not a slut. I've never even had a boyfriend. Nor do I even look like a slut. O_o
Well... I didn't really get in trouble. But it was really evil. So yeah, I kinda know how you feel. Though I've never been accused of trying to burn down a school. lol. Though I am guilty of thinking about it.

I really don't see what's wrong with wearing a tiara.
Anyways, I wore this really cute dress my parents actually let me buy (i'm not allowed to post pics though) and a maid's headband to school one day, and everyone was like, "You're such a goth. You poser." The worst was when the most idiotic person stomped on my books on the ground saying things like, "Go back to the circus! You don't belong with normal people,"
It's really sad things like this happen just because people want to be original, stand out a little, and be able to say, "I'm different!"

They have a very nice array of tiara's, actually. And some nice silk gloves.

No one's ever thrown nasty remarks at me (except the girl who called me a whore, and no one was around) but that's middle school. I'm uncertain of wearing Goth-Loli to school, because there are so many Goths there that get a bad time, and such. sad

Blacklipstick815; I kinda know how you feel... My boufriend has been accused of keeping a shotgun in his locker (they even arrested him and sent him to jail in another city, without even checking his locker to see if it was there!) and other things... Like his teacher lost a text book that was signed out in his name, and he was the one they said had to pay for it. Or the time his walkman was stolen, they said "How do we know you didn't steal it in the first place?", and yet it was a Christmas gift from his mother, I saw him open it! With all that bullshit, I'm surprised he even graduated at all, let alone two years too late.
I myself was constantly ridiculed, and treated badly by both students and faculty at school, when my mom actually allowed me to attend. I had always been different. They had the perfect programs for me in Toronto. They stuck me in something known as "Choice's" here in Barrie. Basically, if I behaved myself all week, I got to spend the last half of Friday playing games. I was never a trouble-maker in the first place. I was just ahead of my class. I was smart, so they stuck me in a trouble-makers class. (Actually, that school, 3rd Grade, Andrew Hunter, is where I met Jade, my boyfriend. Like, 10 years ago. XD) After I left that school, they kept sticking me in classes for slow kids. Which really annoyed my mom. At West Bayfield, the Principal hated me. Mainly because I was able to beat him with both logic and common sense, and because I dressed Gothic. By the time I left that school, they'd not only forced me into the slow kids class, but stuck me on mornings only, and I was STILL done my week's worth of work by the time Wednesday rolled around... rolleyes So I would get in trouble for having nothing to do. I would get in trouble for finishing my work too fast! ><;;
So yeah, I've gotten in trouble for a lot of things for being different.
