Okay so we all know riddles can be fun....tough too sometimes. Let's throw out some easy ones for starters.

1. What's hi in the middle and round on both ends?

2. If an electric train is going north and the wind is blowing south, which way will the smoke go?

3. If a plane crashes on the borderline of Canada and the United States, where will they bury the survivors?

Hopefully those three are pretty simple. Anyone got any others?

Haha, yup. Those would be the answers. The first one is a good deal harder than the other two. I didn't get it either when I was first asked.

Think about how old Silvia is now. There's only one solution and it's computeable with the given info. Try again. smile

Alright, I guess I point out the way to the solution:
Calculating the age of Silvia: (S = Silvia, M = mother)
a) S+25=M (Silvia is 25 year younger than her mother)
b) M+7 = (S+7) * 5 (in 7 years Silvias mother is 5 times older than Silvia)

From here on you should get it easily...
*Update* ....

substitution a) in b) resolves in S = -3/4 (years) === -9 month
so Silvia is born in 9 months ... where do you think the father is? biggrin
