Are there other pit players out there like me who want to be in the battery but will probably be stuck in pit forever for whatever reason. mine is cause I don't think I'm good enough if anyone wanted to know

i would try out for battery even if you think you would suck at it. I was stuck in pit for three years. My senior year I tried out for battery and I made it. And by the way... I'm a flutist. So it can't be all that bad

Holy_Sin172 i would try out for battery even if you think you would suck at it. I was stuck in pit for three years. My senior year I tried out for battery and I made it. And by the way... I'm a flutist. So it can't be all that bad Oh my gosh, we're almost exactly alike. I played flute for my freshmen and played in pit for three years. However, I didn't try out for battery 'cause my percussion instructor and the percussion were working on hardcore stuff. But, the front ensemble had crazy solos... so I made it as section leader. =]
As for Kingdom_Hearts_Zexion_6, I would definitely would try out for percussion. I mean, you can definitely make it if you are willing to practice. And if you don't make it, you can at least say you tried.

yeah. I ended up being really good on battery. I was better than some of the real percussionist. It was awesome.
