Here are some of mine. Lately I've been working a lot with cropping and low tech editing. All of these have been done pimping it out with MS Paint. No photo shop or fanciness. I found that sometimes focusing on only a certain segment of the photo could change the meaning. One was initially a picture of a sunset on the beach when I visiting my brother in Oregon. But upon cropping I noticed the lone silhouette of a man and I went with it.

In "Abstraction" "Appetizing" and "Quilted Glass" the technique I used was grabbing a portion of the image with MS Paint's selection tool and moving them around the photo, and cropping out some of the space. I loved, loved the result and photo splicing is now a big passion of mine.

^Like a Painting. This was the blurred out background on the close up of a flower.

^Pink Rose, enough said.

^Love Wilts, I have mixed feelings on my cheesy text edit.

^Bird Brain, this was originally taken from such a distance the image of the bird was made unimportant by a sea of blue sky behind it. With cropping the bird is a little out of focus, but he/she is now the central theme of the photo

^Appetizing. One of my favorites. Absolutely love how this came out

^Lonely Man

^Abstraction, original photo taken out of my Civic when my little brother was driving us home from a friend's house.

^Quilted Glass, my favorite of this collection I think. The original photo is of a sculpture done by the very talented Dale Chihuly that was exhibited at the Saint Louis Botanical Gardens a few years back.

Thanks 3nodding

I have a hard, hard time with animals. My flower to animal picture ratio is like 700/3 because animals aren't always easy to get close to without causing them distress. That and they move. I have an adorable cat, but I have yet to get a really good focused shot of him.

Thanks for the encouragement (and the idea, I hadn't thought of a flea market!). I've needed the support. Lately I can't get anyone to comment on my photos on Deviant Art.

Those are great photos, Antonia!
Do you have them framed around your house? If you have talent like that you should really show it off!

I have one of my photos framed that I had printed off for a community college art show. A friend of mine and Yonsan have two of my other photos from that show.

I'm pretty shameless about using my own stuff. I think part of it is because it's sort of different. As awesome as Van Gooh posters are-- most anyone can pick them up.

All very nice. In 'Lonely Man' I like the presence of the mountain shaped formation in the background.

'Abstraction' reminds me of a few pictures I took at night several years ago in which all of the lights in the photographs had formed lines that represented the beat of my heart.

You are a talented photographer.
