So, I've finally convinced my best friend to start dressing in Kodona, so he and I will match (squee). The only problem is, he reckons it'll be hot in the summertime, since it's so elaborately layered and seems to be obsessed with coats. I don't think it will...in fact, I highly doubt it'll be much hotter than Gothic Lolita in the summer. But I need to know from someone who dresses in it on a daily basis, is it ever uncomfortable in the middle of summer to wear Kodona outfits? If it is, what are ways that he can sorta...avoid the heat? FYI, he lives in Sweden. It doesn't get REALLY hot there, not like smoggy USA, but still sweat-worthy. Thanks!

-C'est la lune qui conduit la danse...-
It depends on how he takes the heat, I guess @_@
I mean, there's the basic outfit (shirt, necktie/whatever, shorts/knickers/pants, socks & shoes), then he can pile s**t on after that, like a hat, the coat, and other accessories.
I think that as long as he don't mind carrying his coat and stuff if it gets too hot, it shouldn't be much of a problem as long as he doesn't buy heavy clothing.

I live in Sweden myself, and I'd say what kind of heat he's going to be subjected to depends a lot on where in the country he is (it's one of those countries that's really thin in the east-west direction, and comparatively long north-south - and this matters a lot!), and on the day. For instance, a few weeks ago where I am it was so hot that merely being outside wearing ANYTHING was too much for most of us, but today I wouldn't mind a proper autumn coat (though I went out wearing a skirt... eh).
If he's in one of the hotter areas, though, Amani's right in saying that as long as the clothing isn't too heavy it should be fine.

I started wearing the boystyle kodona and punk more than lolita since they are much cooler than lolita in the FL heat and silly me, that is what I thought this post would be about. rofl I think konona style is a lot cooler than lolita. as long as your not going for ouji or dandy, you can pretty much get away with just wearing the long dressy shorts, button down dress shirt (even in short sleeve), some color decoration (tie/bow tie/large bow/scarf), and knee socks. as I understand it kodona is the less dressy boystyle version of ouji and dandy, so I think the look can be pulled off with out wearing a vest and coat.
