So, my cat Petie loves to eat everything he gets his paws on.
He loves:
Noodles
Chips (any kind)
Eggs
Beans (any kind)
Cake
Red/green peppers
Fruit
And a bunch of other things I can't remember right now.

So..... What kinds of foods do your cats eat that they really aren't suppost to like?

(I swear I don't starve him... He's just greedy! gonk )

After seeing my cat attempt to eat a fake finger nail she found in the hall absolutely nothing would surprise me. gonk gonk gonk

But some of the more unusual foods my cats seem to enjoy are:
broccoli
cantaloupe
doughnuts
orange juice
avocado skin
rice crackers

I had a cat who loved garlic bread and popcorn (it didn't have to be buttered, either).

My parents have a cat who eats bananas and once tried a pickle.

But then I have another cat who won't eat anything but fresh Purina hairball control dry food. Seriously. That brand, that particular type, and only if it's fresh. If it's been sitting there for a day or if the bowl is more than half empty, he won't touch it. He won't eat meat, milk, hairball treats, catnip, nothing but that food.

Live Insects gonk

I've had many interesting experiences fighting my cats away from my dinner plate. :3

One of my cats loves Doritos, any other kind of chip she won't eat. Every time someone opens a chip bag in the house, shes right there in about a second. And one time, I saw her drinking coffee out of my moms coffee cup o_O.

And one of my other cats loves peanut butter and also loves cheese.

Eggs
Live Insects gonk

But those are great protein sources! whee

I've heard of people actually buying live feeder crickets and letting them lose in the yard or in a room so that the cats can have some fun hunting live prey, without the cruelty of giving them a live mouse that they would torment and toy with.

lol. My cat eats all the things you guys posted!
I can't eat anything without my cat trying to grab for it.
What makes it so bad is he has extra fingers that he uses as thumbs.
He even got on a hot stove and yanked a piece of chicken out of the skillet, and ate that! gonk

Tuna fish
even though its something i would expect him to eat
he would come running as soon as he heard the can opener and meow and follow me as i went to sit on the couch and jump up onto the couch
I gave him some of course

chocolate cake. but only a nibble. i thought mitts wouldn't be interested in it because he's such a picky eater, so i let him get close and sniff. so i was pretty surprised when he started nibbling.

speaking of crickets, my old apartment had A LOT of HUGE crickets. i lived there for a month before i adopted mitts. he had a ball hunting crickets. they disappeared after a couple of months. i guess word got around to the cricket community that there's now a resident cat.

Let's see.... Octavian will eat:

Bananas, will beg for them
Honey, obsessed with licking it off the shelf where it undoubtedly drips
Sugar, plain sugar - seriously, you can stick it to your finger and he will lick it off
Salsa
Hot sauce
Other fruit - melons, oranges, apples, etc...
My arm
Toes (okay so he doesn't eat them but he licks them.)

He's odd.

I also had a cat that liked to eat cantaloupe rinds. Not the flesh, the rind itself.

Ugh. My cats odd love for eating things costed me two thousand dollars.

He actually ate one of my SOWING NEEDLES.
I walk in, and there he is, chewing on it.
I had run up to him and forced his mouth open to get it, but I watched as it dropped down his throat, and then I started freaking out.

He also like string.
And paper.
Plastic.
Anything really that makes a loud annoying crinkly noise in the depths of the night.
