Nothing says 'gothy' like a black lace parasol! I just got this one in the mail and I'm all happy (even though I can't use it right now because there's been nothing but rain all week)!
Anyone else have a parasol, or walk around under an umbrella when it's sunny?

Holy crappingtons, I have almost the same parasol. I loves it whee It's much better than using sunblock for me, as I both have to use SPF 55 because I burn so quickly and I break out easily. Parasols = Instant flair and skin preservation rolled into one. Yay!

My Goodness, Veruniel, that Parasol is gorgeous!
But to answer the question, yes, I do carry a parasol during the sunnier seasons; I absolutely adore my small collection of them. They're of great use during my summertime walks because they help to keep the sun off of me long after my sunblock has worn off. ^^

I have a beautiful Chinese parasol. It's black with a white sakura branch and red sakura flowers on it, and the handle is made of bamboo. It's gorgeous, but I rarely get to use it. I don't go out much. sweatdrop

I have a couple of orientally influenced ones, but I tend to forget about their existence on bright sunny days.. and occasionally suffer the consequences.

ashesoverdiamond My Goodness, Veruniel, that Parasol is gorgeous! Thank you! And I use mine for the same reasons you do. I always forget to put on more sunblock as the day goes on, so I get burnt if I don't have some sort of portable shade with me.

I just have a plain black umbrella, that when i have makes me feel like the penguin from batman, I'm not quite sure why it does that though sweatdrop

I have a lace parasol (really really thin lace that barely blocks light out) that I carry around for aesthetics. I got it at the Renaissance faire a while ago. For some reason, though, people feel the need to tell me that it's not raining whenever I use it. *shrugs*
