we played the klaxon march last year, it was all right though.
right now we are doing one like that called folk song suite. the first and thrird movements are hard and fast, and theres not many places marked to get a breath, so its hard to do without getting lost.

Ever heard of a piece called Blue Shades? It's the absolute funnest piece I've ever played, but the counting sucked, so many offbeats and downbeats and switching between the two... xd I miss it...

The more difficult pieces my wind ensemble's played over the years are: Selections from Wicked (I love this piece, it's amazing) Inchon (another great piece - it has some awesome percussion things and a beautiful flute solo) Prelude and Rondo (good piece, although our trumpets had a hard time with it) and Second Suite in F (sadly, we didn't try the third movement - it's mostly offbeats, and some people in my band can't handle them)

You know a really difficult piece? This one is the coolest thing ever, though it's easily the most difficult piece my band has ever played.
Incantation and Dance by James Barnes Chance
It effin' rocks! I also usually like the region music, even though it's so freakin' hard!
love dani dude

"Variations on 'Lobe den Herm," definitely. Tubas don't really get strings of sixteenth notes much, so this song was a tough one. Still awesome, nice horn solos.
And "King Kong: Soundtrack Highlights." Out of the 5 songs I played at concerts on euphonium this year, this one was by far the toughest (considering I started it in March).

Second Suite in F is very difficult. We did the fourth movement. |D We failed spectacularly, though. Hahaha. I liked the first.

Can't remember the composers, but:
Tempered Steel. Where Eagles Sing. Library of Congress. [this song seems to be hard for the high voices]
I can't really think of any others at the moment.. We sight read some pretty hard stuff a while back though.

It's not that hard but some tend to be thrown off by the continuously changing rhythm... i'd had no trouble yet but it's really fun playing it now for spring concert.
AWAYDAY -Adam Gorb-
It's up beat, fun to listen and really easy to get into once you get, er, 'into' it.

*freshman in highschool* the hardest pieces i've ever played are.... Solas Ane and In the Church. They have lots o' notes above middle space C, and for French Horn (at such a young age as I) That's hard.
