Kostbarer Alptraum xd 1. Nowhere near goth. 2. "Christian rock". The guild accepts threads about non-goth bands. But either way, I'll continue your thread of thought- 3. Flyleaf is a "they" and not a "she". 4. There are a LOT of bands exactly like them.

I'm not particularly fond of them. The quality of their music isn't good enough for me to overlook the messages it conveys. I will admit to appreciating them from a critic's standpoint; there aren't many vocalists in their genre that do that quick, sharp gasp-thing at the end of verses like their's does. Thats more something I observe in country-ish music, but I can understand where she picked that up, coming from Texas and all.

No, it's not gothic music, but I do think they are pretty decent. I got their CD for Christmas the year before last, and I thought they were okay. They don't sound terribly original, but I did really like the singer's voice. They only have one album out, and it's their first. I think they may have room to grow and distinguish themselves from other bands. As for the lyrics, I love the message behind them.

I like them, but then I have a slight fondness for christian rock, they have pretty good song lyrics.

I saw them live for a single dollar. While I don't really like their album stuff, I can admit that they put on a very good show, and they did an amazing cover of "You make this all go away" by NIN.

Autre79 If you like flyleaf why? I like flyleaf because she's AWESOME and different and she doesn't copy other peoples musics smile *facepalm* I leave for a year and look what happens, people. One: flyleaf is not a goth band. Two: the vocal style is annoying at best. Three: their music is the same as 50% of the generic female fronted rock on the charts. Boring as s**t.
