It's been a while since ive really posted something that involves coordination.
I also think its a really big issue no matter how experience in the fashion and life you are. Coordination means everything or else it wouldn't be considered lolita (sometimes) or even the type of lolita one would want to express.

So Here are just a list of images and just give your opinions.
Some are a bit different and sometimes unconventional.
Still, I think it was interesting what people do with these clothes.

User Image
I personally LOVE the coordination. Its very unusual to use this aqua-green color. It might not be considered lolita in some cases, but its a cute outfit in general.

I think the shoes are lovely and match with the jsk and the the blouse goes nicely with the skirt, but what do you think of the leggings? Different, right?

User Image
This is by far, my favorite lolita photo. I guess its because the more conventional, jsk over blouse type of outfit is more popular among random street fashion photography. I wanted to see more onepieces with cute patterns.
What is different in this pic is the first girl to the left, open toed shoes. In the fashion, usually most people use closed toes shoes. Although, btssb does have a few open toed, but again its all about coordination.
Personally I think it looks well since she has matching white socks to compensate for the openness of the shoes.
What do you think?

Nana Kitade in a white lolita outfit
Sorry the image was just too large sad

A particular style of loli. Dont hurt me because i forgot the appropriate term for "white" loli (i know kuro is black so kuro loli is black loli because shes dressed in all black, see i know!), but I just like thid coordination Nana is doing, mainly because her hair just pops out. Generally, im not all for one colored everything because its kinda blinding in a sense. Here there is a focal point (well im thinking artistically and thinking about how the complete image balances with everything), and the focal point is the hair, which kinda doesnt make the entire outfit go invisible. It only enhances the cuteness of the outfit, in my opinion.
What do you think?

User Image
I really like this one piece mainly because its more classic lolita (one of my preferences besides country lolita). It's a bit different but its cute, I would prefer for the length of the skirt to be a tad bit longer or have a very nice petti under (or those white frill skirts that also double as petti under). Also, im not into the classic black mary janes (it just never caught my eye), but in this case it goes well, they pop out XP
What do you think?

User Image
Again, another Nana picture. Shes not wearing anything under the jsk. I really like this jsk, reguardless of what some other post (on another guild i think) said. I saw another pic of nana with the more conventional blouse under, but I like it like this.
What do you think?

I know i put a lot of stuff about my opinions, but I thought it was better than to respond each time saying the same thing ^^lll

I am really interested in your opinions good or bad.
So please respond smile

The only one I wasn't partial to was most likely the picture of Nana in shiro loli. I've never really been keen on an all white outfit, but this is a goth loli talking. It is admirable how many styles she incorportes into her own. Personally, whenever I think of Nana, punk loli comes to mind. Not that she doesn't do any other style well, of course. It just doesn't seen practical to wear a pure white outfit. Then again, this is Japan, and what with every other fashion-driven teenager walking around, everything evens out.

But I digress. They're all great axamples of lolita outfits, especially the one with the country girls standing in a group. Thanks for sharing!

I really like this because it REALLY leans more towards the Victorian/Edwardian-style rather than the even-Rococo/Victorian style that regular outfits have.

1st pic: I don't like it that much, probably because I don't see the green being something that's put evenly throughout the outfit. Though yeah, it certainly brings the attention to the legs and brings out the shoes more.

2nd pic: I like peep-toe heels, but I know that sometimes it may not look right with certain outfits. But those shoes she has are cuuute. o3o
Also, I love when OPs are worn without the detachable sleeves (if they come with it). It definitely makes the dress look cuter and more free-moving, if you get what I mean. x_x

The Goblin dress Nana Kitade is wearing: I've been having the urge to get that dress actually, in blue or black, but I'm worried about my hips... they're pretty big and I dunno how it would look in that dress. xD But yes, that's certainly a big change while still pertaining to the Lolita guidelines.

Shiro loli, THATS THE WORD *slaps self*
Geez like as if its even a hard term to remember >.<
I blame school!
Ha ha ha

Yeah, nana does a lot of punk styles in general. I still remember when she didn't do the whole loli style (the old OLD songs she did when she first started). Although, personally, shes been doing a lot of more sweet lolita lately in GBL and Kera so its nice to see her pose in such cute outfits since she does wear them well.

I know what you mean about the hips! Im thin but i dont seem AS thin as other asian girls only because i have wide hips -_- Funny I have wide hips but no butt...
My mom told me they grow in when i get pregnant... I'm SO NO TAKING THAT CHANCE! XP

Anyhoo, yeah peeptoe with socks is also something my mom doesn't like. She thinks it looks too crazy. She likes stuff to match well and i mean WELL to the point where it gets uber simple looking at times.
Still, many of her peers say she has a classic look... so i guess thats where i get my style and preferences...

I like socks on peeptoes though, but thats just my asian side talking XP
I think color really takes a huge role in this. Thats probably why i dont wear anything other than black and white socks >.<
(Must work with color!)

Also about the leggings, I like them, but thats something i would probably do on a more casual basis. Again, i usually just stick to black and white >.< My friend in highschool use to do that type of thing actually, but it looked great on her. She was as tall as a model and had long legs -_- Crazy russian girls they have such interesting figures! XP

And yeah the one you mentioned liking the most is also my favoirte. I just like how classic it is. I think its slightly more contemporary than rococo. Reminds me of the late 1800s early 1900s.

I really like those styles of dresses, I wish more brands would come out with that type. Not that I'd ever dislike the other types of dresses they have, but it might bring back the spark to BTSSB and other brands that have been lacking lately in interesting designs and/or prints.

I usually stick to white or black as well. I don't have much accessories in my home to do some unique coordinations yet, so I don't want my leggings to be too bold to wear without having other things to even out the colors.

most of my dresses are very simple and sometimes i wish i would just make giganting bow pins to cover all that emptiness. Although I manage because i have accessories that dont overpower the dress or seem too decora.
I find decora annoying in the sensethat people get it drilled into their minds that everythin has to have2-8923948230423047024720394 bracelets and stuff.

Anyhoo, I know what you mean. I love looking at reference dresses when I draw, and its a lot of repeat of the same styles just with themes.

Actually, I REALLY adore the coordinate in the first picture. Though, I dunno if I'm biased. Mint/Aqua marine is my favorite color and I love when it's matched with pink... plus the print of the dress (from what I can see) looks cute. So I like this specific coordinate. Not certain if it would look as nice in different colors or patterns, however. But I'd definitely wear this outfit myself.

As for the peep toe shoes, I've never been a fan of them. (especially with stockings). But I wouldn't dislike these particular ones as MUCH if the heel were thicker. I dunno... I just can't stand a skinny heel.

The dollfie's outfit is really nice. Like you, I really admire classic lolita styles... which is a little odd since I am so willing to wear mint stockings with a classic outfit. I contradict myself x__x

Well one thing is to like something and another is to wear something that suits your body smile
For me, I enjoy looking at pictures of sweet loli but it's just not my style sad
I usually steer for more classic or country style. So its okay smile
Yeah, I did like the uniqueness of the stockings, it just makes it pop out XP although i think its a very controversial matter in terms of coordination.

I love skinny heels. Im acutally the opposite, I can't stand thick heels, i feel chunky (on the foot). I dunno, i get this sense of slenderness when i wear a thin heel XP

User ImageHm. I'm just going to do a short critique and opinion post since I typed too much already. It doesn't matter if the tights are "lolita" or not, it simply doesn't look right (atleast to me). And yes, I've always loved the second picture. I wish it was me making that face gonk . xd

I didn't know those were peep toes. I generally don't like peep toes (because they're everywhere and often times uncomfortable), but it can look cute if done right.

The dollfie is very cute, but the silhouette is a little strange if it's concidered a lolita outfit (actually, that is where the waistline ended for Victorian children's dresses, even boys. The thing that doesn't make is authentically Victorian is that the skirt is shorter than the usual lengths -depending on the age, of course, it's just a doll. Take Amani's word for it. Classic).

When I think of punk lolita, I think of Nana Kitade and vice-versa. I've seen plenty other of pictures of her in non lolita clothes and sweet (and shiro. There's another picture) to ero style before. I think the bubble jsk Baby made looks good on her and probably will only look good on her (because Baby's new items suck since Novala left).

For the first pic. I think the tights are more of a free style japanese fashion rather than more lolita. I do like the art of it though, but thats just me and I enjoy playing with pastels XP

Yeah, I totally agree on peeptoes! If done right, it CAN be pulled off smile

I also agree on you on the dollfie, I agree that the skirt is too long. Well, If it was about 2 inches or at least above the knee and no shorter (like most limited lolita dresses), then it would be fine. But on casual occations (sadly this is my definition of casual), I would wear it like that XP
