what's the best kind of bass guitar for the lowest price?

(new band and a very small budget...)

the makes dont matter so much more the strings so buy a base around £100 (150$ i think) and fit it with better strings however DONT by the cheapest because some pickup is terrible lol

Two guitars that I can recommend. The first is my personal favorite; the Epiphone EB-0. It has a really nice sound; not too twangy and it's pretty full/bluesy, if that's what you're looking for. It can be found here.

My second recommendation is the ESP/LTD F-104 bass. This one's about a hundred bucks more expensive, but it's got a rocky sound and a rocky body to match. The guitar has 4 knobs-two volume and two tone, allowing you to adjust between a twangy sound and a more alternative-sounding electric sound. You can find the F-104 here

Of course, you can always look for these on eBay for a lower price ^^

try G8 warlock shaped bass, mine was 214 quid but from germany
so you mite wait about 2 week xd

Try going to Musician's Friend. I reccommend, personally, the Washburn Taurus T24. I know, it's $450.00, but you'll find, as you get better and better, the investment was worth the initial cost.
