Alex slowed down once he got to the shore, fixing his shirt slightly then looking out at the water, first. After a little pause he looked towards where he knew the cave was, debating on whether or not he should go there. Finally he looked behind him, seeing if Yukiko was still with him.

Yukiko stopped near Alex. "You could've gone at least a little slower ya know," she said brushing her hair out of her face. Almost crashing into Alex once, she didn't want to do it again, or fall in the water.

"I could've but I didn't," Alex shrugged, grinning slightly.
Shadows appeared in a ball on the sand near Alex, eventually swirling and vanishing to reveal Anna, who was still crying softly and cradling her plushie; how dare Enzai rip Guru. It wasn't fair or nice! The big meanie. . .he was going to pay.
Alex practically jumped out of his skin when he saw Anna, taking a few steps back from her; t-that little girl. . .she just-! And then-! Okay, he was officially weirded out for the first time in a long time. But then he heard her crying, and the ice fortress around his heart melted a little. He sighed slightly and relaxed, kneeling down in front of Anna cautiously. "H-Hey. You okay?" he asked. "What's wrong?"
"H-He hurt Guru-chan!" Anna cried, looking up at Alex. Then she gasped slightly upon seeing him; it was him! She'd finally found him! And it wasn't that hard, either. But now she had to win him over. . .
"'He'? Who's 'he'?" Alex asked. Of course, the better question would be did he know this guy?
"He said his name was E-Enzai-kun. . ."
Figures. And just when he thought the guy couldn't go any lower, he--wait, she just added '-kun' didn't she? Interesting. "Well, if you want, I can fix him up for you," he said slowly, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small ball of thread and a tiny box of two or three needles. "I have a son who's always tearing his clothes, so it's kind of a habit for me to carry these around." He held out a gentle hand, as though asking for the doll. The girl seemed hesitant, at first. But she eventually let him hold the toy and examine the rip in its leg.
"A-Arigatou. . ."

Yukiko just stuck her tounge out at him. When Anna appeared, she stared at her. It didn't scare her at all when she appeared out of nowhere. She was a bit surprised at Alex. Especially with needles and thread. She looked at Anna for a moment. A little girl who, though she didn't know her, she already didn't like, though she said nothing to Alex about it. Tired nothing.

It only took a minute or so to fix the little rip, cutting off the thread and putting it and the needle box in his pocket again. "There. It should be fine now, though it's a little deflated, compared to the other leg," he said, handing the doll back to an extremely ecstatic little girl.
"Arigatou!" Anna said happily, cuddling her plushie to her body again; he was fixed! He was fixed and she found Adrian's Onii-chan. "Ah, my name is Anna, by the way," she added quickly, bowing politely.
"Nice to meet you," Alex smiled, standing up and dusting himself before glancing around, then back at the girl. "Hey, are your parents around anywhere?"
A chance! "They. . .they left me, four years ago. Called me a freak. . ."
Alex felt a chill creep up his spine; t-that was. . .cruel. And at the same time, that was exactly what had happened to him, though she must've been out so much longer than him. So it wasn't much of a surprise for him to be speechless, though he shook his head and quickly recovered. "T-That's. . .well, are you staying with anyone right now?" he asked; she shook her head, and he sighed slightly. Then he smiled slightly and reached out, placing a hand on her head. "I know this is kindda forward and all, but why not come back to my place and my wife and I can see about finding you a family. Or maybe even just adopting you into ours."
Perfect! "Okay!" Anna smiled in return, then looked at Yukiko. "Who's that?"

Yukiko put her hand over her face. Of all the times to be nice. Alex must've had an obvious weakness for kids or something. 'For some reason this kid's already irritating,' she thought the herself. Yukiko glanced down at the girl then looked away again. "If I'm not mistaken, you've already talked to my husband and daughter with those creepy followers of yours and that other boy. And then my hyper-active son was saying something about you being funny or cute like a frog or something of the sort." Of course it didn't answer the question, but she didn't care. She sighed.

Alex looked from Yukiko to Anna, suddenly feeling like he was missing something. "You met Shin and Nanjiro already?"
"Uh-huh," Anna replied, nodding.
"And. . .you had followers?" he asked, though this time the girl shook her head. He wasn't who to believe; Yukiko, who he'd known for years, or Anna, a little eight year old girl who--wait, she arrived in a ball of shadows, didnt she?
No! I'm already losing! Anna sighed slightly; if only Ginji were here. He'd know how to help! He may sometimes turn people away but he could still have done something. "Ah! Ginji-kun!" she said suddenly before darting off as fast as she could towards home.
Alex watched as Anna suddenly took off, not really getting what just happened. "You know, if this is how my first back is now, I don't think I'm going on vacation again anytime soon," he sighed; he felt way more tired than when he'd been sitting at home.

Yukiko turned and climbed up a tree. All she was doing was following Alex,but he sure knew how to attract trouble. Like a super magnet or something. She looked down at him. "The girl had two followers, both of them Laura, Cody, and Dakota didn't seem to like. They gave off a bad feeling. And there was this other kid who didn't seem to like her."

Alex put a hand in his pocket, thinking slightly as he stared at the ground; Anna was. . .eight. She seemed harmless, excluding the fact that she seemed to be less than ordinary. He sighed and shook his head. "I don't see it. She's a little girl. But. . .I'll keep my guard up."

"You don't see it, hm? She asked about you earlier too. Where you were or something." Yukiko scratched some bark off of the trunk of the tree, then jumped down from it. "Little girl. Looks can be decieving, I suppose." She picked on the litttle pieces of wood in her hand.

"True. You're proof of that," Alex chuckled lightly, turning to face the direction the cave was; something felt. . .off. Something was wrong. . .somewhere. He closed his eyes and listened to the wind for a moment, and after a short while, he opened them again and dashed off towards the cave.
