I'm planning to start this Egyptian God-themed petshop here on Gaia, called Kheperen-Re, which means "Image of God," and could be used as an ancient Egyptian name.
Anyway, I seriously need to brush up on my history, mythology, and the ancient Egyptian language, since my character in the shop roleplay speaks it fluently. The other two for obvious reasons. Some good websites or books? I prefer books.
Also, would you be interested in that sort of shop?

Check out the Further Research sticky. It has books and links to Ancient Egyptian history. The Pet Shop sounds like a grand idea whee can't wait to see it up and running!

That is a wonderful idea! surprised I don't know where you can find any information as I have learned most of what I know thanks to History Channel and such. I apologize.
Good luck, and please tell us when you're finished! And take your time researching and all that; I know it will be worth the wait. smile
