Abselotely love The Satanic Bible by Anton LeVay.
I wouldn't identify as a Satanist. It seems to merge social Darwinism, nihilism and pro-materialism with a kind of meta-spiritual belief that humanity loves its rituals but doesn't need its old taboos.
Not a bad idea at all.

Depends on what kind of Satanism.
Theistic Abrahamic Satanism
Worshipping the Abrahamic Satan, that is to say, the Satan of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. It's pretty retarded, honestly. Or so I think.
Theistic Satanism (Luciferianism included)
Ehh, some I like, some I don't. There's a pretty broad spectrum of views within this movement. Some (freedom of information, the importance of truth, etc.) I very much agree with, other beliefs (complete anarchy, rebellion against all power, etc.) I find poorly thought-out at best, idiotic at worst.
LaVeyan Satanism
A much more "in-line" set of beliefs, of which I have a more solid opinion. In which opinion, I like some, dislike others. I think the Satanic Bible is a horrendously hypocritical book, and sometimes just seems poorly planned. I think a lot of the religious elements to LaVeyan Satanism (e.g. the Black Mass) are pointless as well. I do very much like LaVeyan Satanism's lists of sins and commandments though. I also like a lot of the broader values.

I remember there was a sect of Christianity so devoted to the idea that G-d is both all-loving and all-powerful that they had to worship Satan and please Satan throughout their life, then repent on their deathbed to be carried off to Heaven to meet the all-forgiving G-d.
Anybody remember their name or if their still around?

Rellik San " Oh inspires you most?" "Satan..." *Sips wine* Is that supposed to be an "Oh" or a "What"? The reference sounds familiar...

No, not bad at all. I read a chapter of The Satanic Bible some years ago but all it seemed to focus on was sex so I didn't pay much attention to it. But out of curiosity I started digging deeper and it's much more philosophical than damming. And like GilAskan said, the commandments and list of sins aren't irrationably thought out, so that's a plus. To say the least, it makes sense.
