I am sure there have been arguments about Hot Topic before. Truth is, i really hate it when kids think they are goth because they shop there. I mean its NOT a goth store, but also...i hate it when people call it poser, because i shop there for simple necesities; such as: -Band Tees -Make up -Hair dye -pants (barely)
See, but it worries me how people are like "I'm so hard core goth, because i shop at hot topic..." But its NOT for posers.
HOT TOPIC IS A STORE. ITS NOT FOR GOTHS, OR POSERS.. In reality its more of a new-age punk store. But whatever, you can express your ideas

I dress in corsets, and long skirts. I barely wear "tripp pants" or band tees. I just wear those when i honestly dont feel like lacing the corsets or something.

Been here, done this topic, by the way... what in the Flying Spaghetti Monsters unpronounceable name is a new-age punk?
And how are Band tee's a necessity? if you like a band, either get it from the bands site or from a gig, so that your actually supporting the band and not the merchandising and record companies.
Also you do know Hot Topic sells things at seriously inflated prices right?

You dont have to be so rude. but i wasnt intending on hurting anyone's feelings or pissing them off alright? Yea, so what? Oh, and maybe because hot topic is the cheapest place i can find band tees, thank you very much.

Miss? MISS? how in the ninth level of hell can you confuse me as being a girl? And as for who I am... I am Rellik San and I am a golden god. Next, I wasn't being pissy, I was just saying Hot Topic inflates its prices and if you want to support a band, buy direct from them not the retailers.

I've never been but I like a lot of their stuff such as: ShoesI like them but I've seen onces nicer in the local market for £5As a shoe addict a lot of their shoes are unsatisfactory xDI want this dress and her tattooNecklaceWe don't have hot topic here but I don't think the stuff on the sites that bad really. Two of the problems I have is that most of the models, with a few exceptions, are really ugly and the second is some of the outfits the models are wearing are badly put together and don't match, not even in a fashionable mis match. The prices aren't too bad but I don't know the quality and there is also the exchange rate, so if they had that shop in England the prices would probably get hiked up. But again, they don't have much of the rockabilly/psychobilly stuff I'm into, just odd bits. Why is all the nicer stuff in clearance?

If I see something I like,and I have the money,chances are I'm gonna get it,I don't really care where it's from.
BUT I do have a slight dislike for hottopic, mainly because their high prices for alot of low quality things,I could care less about whether it's goth or not.

Really? I found kicking up a fuss and not backing down tends to work quite well, its all about how you do it though. Besides you can do something about it and not buy from Hot topic.

This is rant material, and the rant sticky can be found in the life issues sub forum. Plus, there are plenty of topics about hot topic floating around.
