Time travel to Egypt!
At last, my plans for eternal world domination will soon be achieved...
Now we can learn everything we don't know about ancient Egypt! Think of the discoveries!
I guess it would be an interesting diversion.
No. It might affect the development of history D<
What's that blue police booth over there? It wasn't there before...
  Gold transcends all time!

Good evening, Guild smile (or morning or afternoon or whenever you read this)

Let's imagine that you have, through a series of strange and wonderful events, gotten your hands on a TARDIS time machine. Being the Egyptomaniac that you are, you leap at the chance to travel back in time to ancient Egypt. So, you program your TARDIS time machine for almost five millenia ago, and off you go...

Which dynasty would be in power when you get there?
Which city would you land in?
What would you do?
Where (in Egypt) would you go?
Who would you want to meet?
Would you take a memento of your journey?
Would you leave a memento of your journey for Egyptologists to puzzle over for centuries to come? (i.e., "Nevira Was Here" misspelled badly in hieroglyphs on a monument)
Anything else that might happen during your stay?

Keep in mind that time paradoxes (i.e, the grandfather paradox) are applicable and people will probably notice that you're not from around there. For the sake of discussion, let's automatically assume that your time machine comes with a universal translator so you can understand the people and they can understand you.

I'd want to travel to the 26th Dynasty, to the (then) capital of Sais. Since that's where the main temple of my favorite goddess Neith is, I'd definitely want to visit that. I'd also observe daily life in ancient Egypt, to see how the everyman lives in such a time, not just nobles and royalty. I'd want to talk to all kinds of people-soldiers, priests, nobles, kids, mothers, craftsmen...I'd write everything down about my findings to take back and share the knowledge with the archeology scene. Unless I was feeling particularly mischievous, I wouldn't try to inscribe anything in stone or introduce new technology (hey, such actions violate the Prime Directive, after all ;D ) but since I'm so pale, I'd noticeably stand out, and people might think I'm some sort of spirit and try to exorcise me gonk !

Ready, set, time travel!

Which dynasty would be in power when you get there?
18th dynasty

Which city would you land in?
Thebes (Modern day Luxor)

What would you do?
Look around and take in the view of homes, temples, people and scenery

Where (in Egypt) would you go?
To the temples to see what they actually looked looked like it them days, and then ther Pyramids if a kind fellow gave me a lift on his chariot.

Who would you want to meet?
Menkhepperra (Tuthmosis III) and as many Egyptians as possible!

Would you take a memento of your journey?
Something I could wear, like a necklace, or a small golden statue of Djehuty (Thoth) if I could take it without being fed to the crocs.
Would you leave a memento of your journey for Egyptologists to puzzle over for centuries to come? (i.e., "Nevira Was Here" misspelled badly in hieroglyphs on a monument) Lmao yeah I would do that too! Maybe a shoe and my trousers, that would definatly puzzle them!

Anything else that might happen during your stay?
Innundation, festivals, ow anything!

Which dynasty would be in power when you get there? Ramses
Which city would you land in? Karnak
What would you do? I would go there and watch and record what REALLY happened during the infamous Exodus. See if Moses was really a Hebrew raised by Ramses II that left and followed the Hebrew God, or if he was truly a rebellious son of Ramses that got involved with the dying Cult of Aten and led a small band of slaves that would later become the Hebrews
Where (in Egypt) would you go? Karnak, the Nile Delta
Who would you want to meet? Ramses II, Moses and Amunherkepusheaf (I believe that's how it's spelled: He was the firstborn son that supposedly died during the 10th plague, but it has ben proven that he was killed in battle at the Sea of Reeds from a blow to the back of the head)
Would you take a memento of your journey? A small statue of my beloved Mother Sekhmet as well as some jewelry
Would you leave a memento of your journey for Egyptologists to puzzle over for centuries to come? (i.e., "Nevira Was Here" misspelled badly in hieroglyphs on a monument) Yes. I would inscribe the full complete truth of the Exodus, however it really happened, inscribed in english so that there would be no translation errors, and I would make a copy to keep of my own, in case the church were to find it and destroy it to cover up thier version of what happened.
Anything else that might happen during your stay? I would spend alot of time by the statues of Mother, watch how the priests and priestesses of Sekhmet went about thier work as healers.

rofl
I can totally see it now. A couple of Egyptologists translating a stela: "Um...who the heck is Rennie? It must be a name for a previously unknown queen! surprised "
