Most people don't like it when they make a live-action movie of their favorite anime. They usually screw up big time. So, Why not make a Live-action movie into an anime. Say movies that would make a good anime and why. (and for those of you who think I'm crazy and think it's never been done before, Here's the picture for the Highlander Anime. (I realize it was a cartoon too but it's different trust me.) PS video games are legitimate ideas too.

Chronicles of Faerie definitely.
Tamora Pierce's series may make good ones.

Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series
Not a true anime but a good example of what could be done if people put their minds to it.

I don't really think any American films would really suit the genre of anime o__O;; If I had to pick, I reckon a good old samurai film like Samurai Fiction or Zatôichi {original or remake} would make an entertaining anime.

And i don't know of any good movies that'd make a good anime D: unless...The Day After Tommorrow?

I think Stephen King's book The Stand could make a good anime series.
As for films, The Romero Dead movies would make an excellent creepy anime. I would definatley watch that!
Other suggestions I've got...

Pan's Labyrinth would make an awesome Anime.
well, a game that would make a good one (actually they already DID make one, but only an OVA, they'll have to do another one to finish the story) would be Tales of Symphonia.
