I can't wait!
Whose coming to Wave Gothic Treffen this May? I really can't wait to go. I'm excited as hell. I'm booking early. I'm going to have to brush up on my German, last time I went to a Gothic festival in Germany I found talking in English left me mostly only meeting other English people. I met some Swedish people, but my Swedish is crap.
Any line-up rumours? Any advice from vets?

I would like to go. But I don't think my parents will let me go to Germany on my own so I will have to do with Summer Darkness in Utrecht (The Nehterlands). That is a dutch goth festival with many good bands.

Cool, who's playing?
Anybody else going to any of the other 2008 Goth festivals? I'm planning on returning to Infest.

I'm considering going, but I'd have to see a line-up first. I live in Detroit, in the United States, so a trip to Germany will be several thousand dollars when you include tickets, hotels, food, and whatnot.

Its a case of book early to avoid dissappointment I think, the only reason I'm set on going. I know Deviant UK are going (inside info wink ), aside from that I'm just hoping for the best.

I'll go one year. It's a bit difficult living down under.

I might go next year. At the moment I have some serious crap to solve in my real life. As for the line up I think Deine Lakaien will play, but I`m not sure.

For those who can't make it in May, whose going to Mera Luna in August?
More openly, who is going to any Gothic festivals this year? Where/when?

Not this year. But hopefully next year I plan to go to both Mera Luna and Wave Gothic Treffen.

Unlike very few countries, if you don't like where you are in the US, you can go somewhere else within the country that's completely different. There isn't any other country on Earth with as varied landscape, climate, and culture.

Yeah, but from the looks of things America lacks a Goth scene to compete. razz
In Hannover train station in Germany I went into a totally normal newsagents, and in the music section found Orkus and that other German Goth magazine. In a train station newsagent! Even in the UK we don't have that kind of scene.
