I used to be a Marching Clarinet, but now that I'm Drum Major I'm just an honorary marching Clarinet. But we had our own secret handshakes and dances and stuff to perform while we are playing Pep Band tunes in the stands before halftime. We also have weird nicknames...mine used to be something like a crazy squirrel or something because I was hyper from 2 Vaults...

i don't like my section, hahaha they suck a whole lot and aren't dedicated enough

I was section leader for my flute section (I've graduated from high school now, so... not anymore. ~sad~). I loved doing sectionals, cuz even tho I'd keep them working, i'd goof off too, and i was always making them laugh. i was gonna get them shirts, but... i was too lazy.
after i graduated, the next year i stopped by the school during a football game and said hi to them. they told me "band camp is gay without you".
(of course, what made it funnier is that i AM gay, so my natural response was "wait... it was gay without me?" and they just said "shut up!")

Being in Pit we always stayed up in the band room to practice, so we got really close. Everyone could make eachother laugh, even if we had to do the worst jobs of moving insterments down stairs we still had fun with it. Every secound was fun when we were all just hanging out.

Our section would be amazing if not for two people. One is an overly emotional drama queen who thinks she's right and everyone else is wrong. She assumes she's going to be drum major and still act as section leader. She's not going to get either. She has an emotional breakdown every practice. Once or twice maybe, but not that much. The other one is really bad and every time she screws up, she blames it on the fact that she's short. Even though the section leader is also short. Better than last year, though. Last year it was because she was short and Asian. And these two are constantly bickering. Then there was the slut who was actually a woodwind extraordinaire but chose mellophone because ner boyfriend does brass as well. Adide from them, though, our section's great.

Well, I was section leader for the flutes this year (WOOOO!), and I was so happy at how close the section was! I was so scared, because we had been so close (or so I though :S) the past 2 years, so I wanted to live up to that reputation... but to tell the truth, not focusing on getting closer and just letting it happen helped us to become one of the most tight-knit sections of the band. It was awesome. We're planning another "flute party" during winter break, and I'm really excited!!! biggrin By the way, there were a lot of mellophone posts on here - I LOVE YEW, MELL'S!!! heart

She's talks loudly and acts stupid just so she'll get attention, and she complains about how "fat" she is (I've just started calling her a fat cow every time she says that razz ), and how much she sucks at the flute... WELL, NEWS FLASH, HONEY! WATCH WHAT YOU EAT AND PRACTICE, DA***f8DSAFLKDNSAGIOFDHNSAFKLDJ!!! Freakin' a. Haha, so yes, I feeeeel your pain! [Oh yeah, and what section were you a part of again? I think you said, but I'm probably an idiot. ^^]

Oh gosh. I play Baritone and I swear my section is so annoying! It's made of up six people [including me.] The band has a joke and says that three of them are triplets because they're all black, wear glasses, and are lame, but think they're cool. xDD! They always play music and they're not that great at it. Our section leader is way cool and chill about everything! And the other member is one of my friends. We got a section shirt along with the trombone and tuba and it says, "Welcome to the Brass Light District." With a picture of us in the front.
The trumpet section have a shirt too, and I think it's way cool because it says, "Trumpet Section. You don't need to know our names, just our faces."

She called my house and wanted to know why I hadn't invited her to my party, and she also kept flirting with my boyfriend. (even though she had broken up with him long ago!!)
