the way i see it. the belief that cannibilism is wrong is merely someones opinion that was spread world wide. cannibilism is often discribed as a grotesque act performed by the mentaly ill.it is often frowned upon in most societys today forcing those that are cannibals to deny who they are and what they stand for. its wrong .if something wants to eat the flesh of their own species then its afree country (in the usa at least) waht if people started to describe the gothic music culture not asa way to express themselves but as a way of mental corruption .meaning they are saying something is wrong with the ppl of todays gothic society because they like the lace and black and fishnets and (MMMMM) corsets ( i heart corsets) know this i am not a cannibal and im not trying to turn you into a cannibal but im just saying ppl have no right to judge those that perform a type of cannibalism/self cannibalism. some may wonder what self cannibalism is . well its exactilly what it sounds like . you eatijng yourself.A certain amount of self-cannibalism occurs unwittingly, as the body consumes dead cells from the tongue and cheeks. Ingesting one's own blood from an unintentional lesion such as a nose-bleed or an ulcer is clearly not intentional harvesting and consequently not considered cannibalistic.this is not the only form of this it is also considerd s-c. if you bite your fingernails and it leads to biting the skin around the fingenails . self cannibalism is also common in animals as a cricket might consume its own wings and mice may eat their own tails if they are starving.

Personally I think cannibalism is sick and not all right. But on the other hand who am I to tell others how to live? As long as all partners involved in the act ( be it cannibalism or anything else) agree with what they are doing and noone is forced to do things against their will it is all right with me. Of course that also means that if people for example decide to leave again that they are permitted to leave and not motivated to stay and go on with canibalism or anything else. Basically as long as nobody who does not want it is bothered or forced it is perfectly fine if people do what they want to do. As soon as it goes against the will of a person, almost everything( even giving someone something to eat what they don“t want) is a little ( or bigger ) crime. This also encompasses that people know exactly what they are about to do, means know all facts and have had time to think it over with their worldviews and filosofies and everything.
That also applies to acts which involve spirits and the supernatural. If you want to tie someone up with your thoughts, you can do so if the person wants. But it would be unfair if you use such means as revenge or if you summon beings that haunt down persons who don`t even know what they are facing, as an example out of so many.

To me it is just another belief system which has become socially and morally shunned. Although I'm not particularily interested in it myself, I would definitely not call it a mental illness.

Honestly? I see nothing wrong with it at all and I'm rather curious about it myself. I know people who have eaten other people and they aren't mentally ill at all ^_^ So really- I see nothing wrong with it at all, sure, it may not give the other people a choice, but neither does murder etc. Parents don't always give their children choices do they? So really, even if society hates the truth, there isn't anything majorly wrong with it at all, it's a way of life. Animals eat others of their own kind sometimes, why shouldn't humans?

Yeah but what about the whole murder thing? Isn't that a bit of a problem?

i think it's more of a sociological issue than an issue of right or wrong. canablizim is the eating the flesh of another, not nesicarrily killing them to eat them.
while i may personally find it repulsive, I do belive other cultures have the rights to pratice thier belifes as they see fit.

I personally find it a little disturbinng but if people want to eat human flesh i dont care i dont think it is wrong as long as there is the consent of the person whos flesh is being eaten

I'm okay with cannibalism from a cultural standpoint, that is, I see no problem with cultures that used to consume their deceased loved ones rather than burying or cremating them. However, if someone kills people for the sake of eating their flesh, that's a bit of a problem in my book.

technically.... human flash is more nutritious/nutrition is more easily extracted than other meats because it's already borken down for huans specifically.
... just sayin'....
anyway, i think one of the reasons killing people for flesh is taboo everywhere (even most cannibal societies) is because we as a species have a 'self preservation' instinct (species wise) and we ususally don't eat out dead people that dies naturally because of emotional stuff (eating a dead relative, etc), and because we just generally find it gross to eat things that are already dead and have begun decomposing.
so yeah.
