Except I can say safely that I hated high school and I would never go to a reunion. EVER! They called me about attending my five year reunion and I screamed at them and told them to never contact me again.

I didn't go to my 5 or 10 year reunions, 5 I thought was just too soon, and then 10, I didn't really care either way. I decided not to go because my other option was to work, and I thought I'd rather have money than an afternoon of awkwardness...
I did go with my boyfriend to his 20 year reunion though! It was pretty funny! No one remembered anyone else!!! People were smiling at each other whilst surreptitiously trying to read their name tags. Most amusing!

i was never notified about my 5 year reunion, and even though my 10 year was on a weekend, i didn't bother going. i hated high school, and hated most of my classmates. though i had one friend that did go and he said i would have laughed. most of the really popular kids wound up overweight and balding, while half the popular girls had like 4 kids and have been divorced twice or more. yay for sweet revenge!

I still have atleast a few more years before the 10 year reunion of Hellmont. Actually I'm still in contact with a number of people from high school. Those and a few others would be the only reason I would attend.

I'd be tempted to go if I were successful. biggrin Plus to show people that I'm a well-adjusted human being after all, despite high school. I'd be fun to rent a really hot model guy to take and pretend he was my husband. xd
I realized that most people didn't hate me in high school, they just didn't talk to me. It was more like I didn't exist to some or we just weren't friends (but not necessarily enemies) with others. The ones I didn't get along with were the ones whose lives were already going down the drain in high school. wink

I was home schooled for high school so there obviously wouldn't be a reunion.
I kind of regret not going to high school for at least one semester.
I never had a prom; never got to do any of the "high school" stuff that I sometimes hear about. and of course I'll never have a reunion to go to or choose not to go to sweatdrop

I graduated in 2003 so I doubt there's going to be any kind of reunion any time soon (but, before opening this thread, I had no idea there was such a thing as a 5 year reunion). Even so, I probably wouldn't go. I didn't particularly care for High School

Thanks for the feedback, guys. mrgreen I was pretty much a social pariah in high school, and there are maybe two or three people out of over 300 I was on friendly speaking terms with in my class when I graduated. People were just not very nice. There isn't really a large number of people I care to see again as long as I live. In fact, there are many people I rather not see again as long as I live. Still, my morbid curiosity might get the better of me. mrgreen

A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight... My ten year was this past September 1st and I didn't go even though I considered it. It was right in between two big events I had to help with for work, plus I didn't have money for a dress or I would have gone.
If it was now, I wouldn't go though. ...and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

I'm interested in going to my 10 year reunion. I suppose I want to walk in with the confidence I grew a pretty nice persona since those days. Though before I'm ready for any reunions I need to get my life in better shape sweatdrop

new here, just thought i would put in my 2 cents.
our school was really clique-y. i got along with most people, didnt have any huge enemies.. but the jock kids and popular kids...yuck. they were all a bunch of drunks. from what i hear most of them still are, which i find pretty funny.
i graduated in 99. our class officers werent very organized apparently, we were sent invites to our five yr reunion after 6 years... i guess maybe 20 people, ones that still lived there, showed up. we had like a 2 week notice. so who knows if we will have any other reunions, i would prolly go, just to see a few good friends, and laugh at what those jerks became.
