I've been having trouble playing PS1 games on my PS2. I bought a PS1 memory card and all - but whenever I try opening my save files, a text box reading "The file is ruined" or something like that appears. Has anyone had this problem before? Does anyone know what it is?
Please help me crying

The memory card, is it a offical Sony one, or 3rd party?

Well, I bought it from a site like eBay, and there it was said to be a Sony one. It also has a case and all - it sure looks like an official Sony one. But I`m not really sure...

If it's offical Sony it will have Sony on it somewhere.

Sounds like its either a faulty Sony card, if it is a Sony, and its not working, was it sealed in normal pachaging as if they had just shipped it from the factory? or was it open or in pachaging that a normal person might have placed it in? It could have been faulty from the start and thats why it was being sold, they might have ruined it or it died on them.
If its not a Sony, I find that most 3rd party cards dont always work right.

Well, I guess it could have been opened. There was a "Sony PS1" sticker, locking the case it comes in, but it could have been put in there after the person used it...I guess you`re probably right. Thank you!

Do you have acess to other peoples PS1 cards to compare it to that are official cards? It really could just be a dead card, but see if somoene has a card they dont mind you testing it out on before getting another card yourself 3nodding
Its interesting you replyed today, as it was the day I got a keychain that looks nearly identical to your avi rofl

Yup, thanks for the suggestion! My cousin is gonne send me his memory card through mail, and it should get to me tomorrow. And then I`ll finally be able to compare 'em! And play Final Fantasy VII teheh

I actually prefer the FFVII AC look of Tifa to the game.
well enjoy when you get to play, unfortinatly I need to borrow my brothers copy of teh game if I want to play, since I dont have one.

I also think so. Her FFAC outfit is much more interesting and unique, let's say...The same goes for Cloud's, I think.
I also don`t have my on copy sweatdrop Although I wish I could get one...but no way I`m spending so much money on it, even though it IS FFVII. I'd rather spend it on other things, heheh

Yep, i thought it looked more mature in AC, I do recall more then a few upset boys about the change though. I think the change in both of their outfits was to show they had both changed and grown some.
Ya, copies of the game used or new cost way to much now. I just keep borrowing my brothers rofl That and wait and hope that maybe in 2009 or 2010 they do a remake of the game. Remember I said hope, there is no confirmation of a remake at the moment.
