ok, me and some friends are going to the MCM Midlands convention and we're all going to be cosplaying, but my friends had decided to just buy their outfits, where as I have bought/buying clothes to sew patterns onto for my costume, which is my fanfic OC Taelea outfit...so not quite a proper cosplay, but who cares xp
Basically I'm asking if anyone has any tips onhow to measure/draw out patterns for the material im going to sew onto my clothes, I just want to know the best way to measure a area on a jacket to cut the material into the right size and shape.

but I will be most likely changing it a bit, so it is the black material i need to measure out to shape the jacket. I know this isnt the best view for giving tips on this, but its the best picture I can do of the outfit sweatdrop
