Angry fanboys are getting younger and younger these days. Fun Tech Talk is reporting that a thirteen year old South Carolina boy was picked up by Toys R Us security after it was discovered that he had written "PS3 Sucks" on twenty three plastic PS3 game security cases with indelible marker. The boy's parents couldn't be reached so he was put in the custody of child services (scary). When asked why he did it, the boy answered, "I have an Xbox and I hate Playstation. I found the marker lying on the shelf and I guess I was bored. Sorry."
If only he'd saved his hate for anonymously posting into the comments on an internet blog site thus starting a massive flame war like an adult.

Hopefully the parents get a bill for replacing the cases, its a good thing it wasnt the actual case for the game though, im sure his parents would have been happy with the.. $1380 CND bill (based off an avg cost of games).
Frankly its those idiots that seem to be most vocal, oh and if your interested in some really "mature" Sony bashers, try DailyTech.
I ask one thing though, most of these angry fan boys/girls, seem to come from the US, is it because they are so into blindly trying to support a US company?

it's mostly based on peer pressure, and total ignorance. the XBOX2 is the worst designed system with the highest failure rate of any console ever created... what good is a great CPU, GPU and memory if everything else in the design isn't configured to let the thing actually function like the infinitely better designed PS3?
Young kids like this probably are victim to all the anti-Sony viral marketing campaigns that MS is shamelessly funding worldwide. The blatant lies MS tells actually have this poor kid thinking he's being patriotic somehow by sticking up for MS's worthless system... it's not that the XBOX2 has bad games, it's just that the system itself is flawed completely... so what good is it in the end? it's a waste of time and money trying to enjoy it at all.
Certain people actually don't realize or care that both systems are being manufactured ultimately in China, or Japan etc... so this poor child innocently enough just doesn't have a clue what he's sticking up for in vain.

I just feel sorry because he doesn't know what's going on... he's really just an innocent young kid sticking up for one of the largest corporate monopolies on earth, they don't need his help... MS has enough money already.
I don't know how people do it, i am so impatient in life... regarding certain things... if i was on my third console in less than a year etc... because they were breaking down... any console, i would just call it a day and give up to find a new hobby lol.

Are you suggesting that this kid who most likely suffered through multiple 360s "cracked" in a Toys R Us and our of like Jealousy towards the PS3 *for having a under 1% failure rate* lashed out against it by writing PS3 sucks all over the security cases? For some odd reason I can see them using it as an excuse and then suing Microsoft for some reason. In the end I don't think it matches up with his original testimony of just being "bored". Also the fact that he's 13 and has some kind of break down over having to replace a console is just laughable. Men twice his age have gone through as many as 9 360s and not have a form of break down. I think he knew what he was doing, and should face whatever charges come his way.

I agree that the kid knew what he was doing, I read the actual article, and I susepct that he knew full well what he was doing, and he knew full well it was wrong. For that last part ALONE he should recieve a hefty punishment, I know that even if he didn't get in alot of trouble, and even if he or his parents didn't get some sort of fine, if I was them, Id take his 360 and all the games, and sell them back to EB or a hawk shop and take the money. Id look right at him and say "If you want them, when your mature enough and can buy your own you can have them." This isnt cruel btw, because after the Sega Genisis, I had to buy any and every system myself and I wasnt all that old at the time.
As for the 360 supporters, I still dont understand them, because I go into EB a fair bit and alwyas hear strong support for it, although I have to admit, I am hearing more positive support for the PS3 lately, but there seem to be die-hard supporters of the 360 that would keep trading it in over and over. After one or two replacements, myself, I wouldnt get another of it. Id send them a letter with the defunt system saying "Hey, its the 3rd one, if you arnt going to give your customers quality, then you can count me out as a customer." As for the superior capabilities of the PS3, the problem is, Developers are not all that willing to invest in learning a new style of programming, which is funny because half of them do PC games and the avg PC has a dual core processor now. They blame the multiple cores, yet everything is going that way. When they are finally willing to actually invest their time, they will see just what they are missing. Until then, they will always try the fast, easy and lazy way of the simplier 360.
This is a bit of a conspirousy theroy myself and a 360 user (whom just recently suffered the RRoD) came up with. MS knows what the problem is, but is unwilling to properly fix it at the moment becuase it would potentially put the 360 even farther behind the PS3 in capability. We were also speaking on how MS always says Nintendo is its competition, not Sony, yet they spent millions at each PS3 launch event, trying to bash or woe PS3 buyers over.
Umm sorry for the bits of rants tied in.. I just got going and lost track sweatdrop

Agree there.
I like to call 360 fans the Sweet 16s of the VG world. Even though they have lots of games, lots of exclusive games that are popular. All they do is complain and beg for PS3 exclusives. DMC4, MGS4, VF5 comes to mind.
Devs are just lazy assed any more. Sonic team FOR SURE. They have pretty much said they aren't going to make any PS3 games anymore. Because its "Too hard". I laugh at that so hard. They could make wonderful games on the Sega Saturn! That thing is harder to dev for then ANYTHING.
I then lol because Team Ninja developed NGS on the PS3. Team Ninja is a small dev team, NO WHERE near the size of Sonic Team. I find it funny that HALF of Team Ninja find the PS3 to be easy to use, while a huge dev team like Sonic Team find it SO hard.

Yes thats about the best way to describe the 360 fans.
Indeed they are lazy now, part I think is due to the flood of new comers whom are looking for good pay and easy work.
I forgot about Team Ninja, I recall they choose the xbox before because they didnt want to comprimise on game quality, due to its greater power then the PS2, I wonder now if they will choose the PS3 due to its greater strengths?

Itagaki chose Xbox because it was the most hardware powerful console of last gen. And he said he would always pick the most powerful hardware to put his games on. Which everyone knew back then was some heavy B$. With the start of this gen the PS3 according to everyone is the most powerful. with 360 following so close behind it *in my eyes, I always saw them as pretty much equals, one doing better then the other in certain fields*. So by his "standards" he should be on the PS3. WRONG. Still 360, and now he's even doing a game for the DS, because in his eyes the PSP is a console not a handheld. But the people who worked on Ninja Gaiden Sigma *which wasn't him, but he did give his blessing on the game* loved PS3 hardware for the most part. As Yosuke Hayashi the development director said in a interview Quote: Q: Are you at all interested in doing more work with the Playstation 3 hardware? A: I have really enjoyed working on the PS3 and I have quite a few ideas for future PS3 titles.

Personally, I have a DS, and its going buh bye likely this month or next. I have tried to use it several times and if my eyes would stop straining for the smaller screens Id be good.
You have a very open mind, which is good, unfortunatly I spend a bit of time on and of on DailyTech and you find 360 fanboys that seem to feel the PS3 isnt as advanced as is claimed. I suspect the largest problem being that they are used to standard PC standards, and dont really know all that much about Cell processors.
I do find it funny that he suddenly doesnt need to hold MS up to his high standards, after all, any game made for BOTH, always has the PS3 loose out on what it can do because they have to sacrifice some so that the 360 can run it.

Tell that to the Sega Boards XD I've heard multiple people some GS people, and others PS haters even say that the PS3 has better graphics then the 360. The only reason its not shown is because they can't dev. worth s**t.

well I figure after a couple really big hits come out, more will take a serious look at the PS3, I figure that FF XIII will be one of those games that sets a new standard.
