So, how many of you grown-ups are smokers?
(I'm not, of course.)

'Fraid not me. My grandfather died of lung cancer before I was born sad It's something I never had the desire to do.
But I do have friends who are smokers.

' We will support you! i appreciate it guys. as of right now, i know i'm gonna fail if i try due to mass amounts of stress. things are starting to cool down so i think i can give it another go round soon. i'll be keeping a daily post in this guild about my trials of quitting smoking. wish me luck. i think to start, i'm gonna start to slowly wean myself of them and after a month, try to cut out the cigarettes completely.

I have an old friend who quit recently, I can consult him and find out what things were helpful for him.

I smoke WAY too much (hence my avatar razz ) and I've quit two times before, only to be tempted by the dark side once more. Non-smokers don't know how hard it is to quit, as there are many factors that keep smokers smoking.
That said, when I did quit, I noticed just how nasty of a habit it was! Sometime (hopefully soon) I'll quit for good and it'll stick. Smoking is going the way of the dinosaur, and probably in 20 years it'll be so expensive and such a hassle to smoke, people won't bother.

I do smoke...and sad to say, i enjoy the things. stare They keep my stress levels down, and yes, I know it is an excuse! But, I have slacked up ALOT lately...I was up to a pack a day, and now I am good to smoke 1/4th of a pack (due to me working more and dating someone who doesn't smoke). And I am proud of that.

I'm the kind of guy that is auto-destructive... I should quit smoking, i got a lot of disorder in my internal organs... Haven't touched smokes, drink or drugs untill i was 18.... Since i got to 18, I let loose the hounds of hell... My advice for people who are smoking, is to look out for some smoking caused affections on different organs, and overall on the human body, if they still want to smoke after that, i will do my best to create another guild for me and them smile )
If you're not suicidal, stop smoking... It's not making you any cooler if you're looking like 60 at the age of 30 smile . It's not making you any cooler if you're dead at 45, looking like Tutankhamon....

I'm not and never will be. My parents have both smoked since before I was born and I've seen what it did to them...plus my uncle who was a smoker passed away from lung cancer. sad Good enough reasons for me to never want to start.
