Set post graduation out of the Academy in some random forest within the village, that is not Maple Meadows. Ryusei left small notes for students who revealed passion or an aptitude for martial arts, inviting them to join him for training.

Title: Bonds
Information: Call it friendship, call it camaraderie, call it a legal obligation. The nurturing of relationships is one of the most fruitful types of narrative. Helping a friend out in a kitchen, helping keep their business alive, being there for them after a bad break up, building new friendships...building new rivals...building new nemesis's. Confronting those nemesis's and exchanging conflicting beliefs in fierce wholehearted heated debate and getting to know the other through their opposition on a new level.
Every paragraph made strengthening an existing relationship with an rpc, rewards XP equal to one's body rank plus [1], maximum . Those interacted with may also be considered to be running this narrative with you albeit their posts are separate from your own. The narrative is considered completed once the parties part ways for another day.

Ryusei spent the afternoon prepping up his 'dojo': a couple of sandbags scattered throughout the clearing between four large trees, targets created via paint he had... borrowed, and a few small to medium-sized boulders with purposes unknown even to him. It wasn't very much to look at as far a dojo standards are concerned, but Ryu appeared to be quite pleased with his handiwork. After all, any place could be a place to train one's body. Looks good to me! Nodding in approval, the boy took one final and thorough scan of his surroundings to make sure everything was exactly the way he wanted it. He was hoping to impress his classmates, or at least show them he was capable of being more than just a class clown. There was also the lingering thought of how many would even show up.

Until then, Ryu decided to make use of this time performing target practice. He had a strong affinity for ninja tools that he couldn't deny, however being overshadowed due to his taijutsu proficiency, it was a skill he was less recognized for among his peers. Retrieving a kunai from his side thigh pouch, a simple throw would be all it took to land a near-perfect mark on one of his makeshift targets displayed on the tree ahead. Huh? Have I gotten rusty? Ryu did a double-take, and upon further inspecting the target, realized he was slightly off the center mark. This time, he retrieved two shuriken, more aware of the effort he'd be putting into the toss this time around. Once released, the shuriken diverged paths, creating a wide curve before enclosing on the target. Both shuriken pierced the center target, sharing the space and thus knocking the kunai out of its position. Now that's what I'm talking about! Grinning, the fiery-haired goober twirled a shuriken around his pointer finger in satisfaction. [ Straight Shot and Mirror Throwing: Learned ]

With his other hand, Ryu retrieved two more shuriken, and practiced tying steel wire to the projectiles. It started off slow and clumsy at first, but with continued practice he could attach the string to the projectiles almost effortlessly. With a toss of all three shuriken, he allowed them to fly towards the target before manipulating their trajectory with movement from his fingers causing them to veer away from the target and circle around the tree. [ Snare Toss: Learned ] The shuriken were able to successfully wrap around the tree's trunk thanks to manipulation on Ryu's part, letting the strings fall from his control to work on the next technique. Taking a single kunai, Ryu threw it with extreme precision towards the center of the target before him. While this was clearly going to be an accurate hit, there was more to this next technique than what most could see. Forming a hand seal, an illusionary copy projected itself in front of the kunai, phasing through the target before the real kunai embedded itself into the center. [ Shadow Sling: Learned ]

Ryusei was proud of his progress so far, yet he couldn't help but notice the mess he was creating with all of the projectiles laying about. There were plenty that, unfortunately, missed the targets completely or were knocked out of it while he performed trick shots. To get this mess back in order, he projected strings in a twenty meter radius to attach themselves to any loose projectile weapons, pulling them back into his possession; a nice neat pile beside him. [ Retrieval: Learned ] From the stack he took two shuriken into his hand and pumped them with chakra. The process came pretty easily due to the practice he spent in the academy learning to control and channel his chakra through his body, and now he could do the same through weapons. Tossing the two projectiles with precision, each shuriken flew past the target, just outside of the natural width of the tree. Just barely. A small clink from each projectile just grazing the bark of the tree, caused the chakra built inside of them to detonate. [ Bang Shot: Learned ]

“‘Come to the forest for some super special awesome training directed by the legendary RUisei Uchiha…’” Mina read the note out loud to herself as she made her way through campus. The Genin had found the note with, if she had to give a lowball estimate, around four million other similar notes that were hanging in the hallway. She wasn’t entirely thrilled about extra Taijutsu practice, especially from someone other than her mother. It was hard enough for someone who understood her learning hindrance, let alone a complete stranger. But old Zakaki wanted her dear sweet daughter to learn martial arts, so learn martial arts she shall. And who knows, maybe learning from someone else than her mother might be good for her. “Variety is the spice of life, after all!” Mina said out loud, with her fist held up and her cheeks puffed out in a determined look on her face.

It didn’t take her much longer after that to get to the training grounds. She assumed that’s what it was, anyway. It seemed very patched together, with sandbags just thrown about and some larger rocks for...some reason. Mina didn’t have time to contemplate as movement caught her attention. Someone else was there, a young man with orange hair throwing a shuriken around like it was his job. “Excuse me!” Mina called out to him, being as polite as she could. “Are you Mister…” She looked at the flyer again. “Ryusei Uchia?” This was the instructor “I imagined someone...taller.” She wasn’t aware that she’d said that vocally and that it wasn’t just a thought she’d had.

At this point Ryusei was getting rather creative with his shuriken-tossing methods, adding influences from his martial arts. This mostly revolved around aerial flips and kicks to ensure the targets landed their marks, with a bit of flair, of course. Judging by the numerous projectiles littered around him, including the distance between him and the nearest tree, Ryu had spent a good amount of time trying to perfect this feat. Only a few shuriken or kunai managed to embed themselves into the bark of the tree's trunk - a major improvement over what could be seen otherwise. Ryu tossed another kunai high above him, performing a front flip with his right leg extended to launch the kunai towards the tree ahead. An audibe plink confirmed the contact with his ankle and the projectile, followed by the plunk of the kunai landing its mark on the tree. "BOOM! Bullseye, baby!" The fiery-haired wild child shouted out, proud of his progress undoubtedly.

A voice of a female caught his attention, and to his surprise, he turned to see a somewhat familiar face. Oh! Someone did actually read my note. He remembered engaging with her briefly throughout his time in the Academy, including their graduation ceremony. She stuck out primarily because of her hair color; redheads were pretty rare in their graduating class after all. Unfortunately, he was unable to recall her name at this moment. "The one and only!" Ruisei shot her a big, toothy smile and a thumbs up. He was super hyped to have another person join him for some training. Whether she meant to or not, it appeared the mention of his shorter height in comparison didn't affect him negatively at one might expect. In fact, he was grinning. "Haha! Well you know what they say: Big things come in small packages. And let me tell you somethin'... I pack a big PAWNCH." Taking a relatively simple boxer's stance, he emphasized his statement with an uppercut to the air. Indeed it was true, this girl did have a minor height and weight advantage over him, but that only made the challenge even more exciting.

"Call me Ryu, yo. Welcome to my dojo!" Taking a few steps back, his arms would span wide, presenting the bootleg dojo starring some dusty looking sandbags and random stones. "So, tell me about yourself. Who are ya? What's your style? How did a pretty, tall thing like you get into throwing hands?" Like a series of punches, he didn't hold back on his small interview session. Ryusei had nothing against females who like martial arts or combat in general, though it wasn't often that it happened. He was genuinely curious, and on top of that, wanted to shoot back at her the best way he could for calling him short. That was all he could come up with, in the short amount of time he had to think about it. At the very least, he was honest.

“Pretty…?” Mina said very quietly. She blinked and her eyes went wide while her eyebrows rose into her hairline, a small blush as red as her hair creeping on her cheeks. No-one ‘s ever called her that before. No-one except her mom, anyway. It was something that definitely took Mina off guard, but it also took the edge off too. Her nerves of who might be running this show faded away as the Genin began to calm herself down, and she took inventory of her fellow student now that she could get a good look at him. Ryusei walked away and gestured to all of the equipment proudly and Mina couldn’t help but smile a little at his upbeat attitude.

Ryusei was a little smaller than her, but his sheer amount of energy made his presence that much bigger. He was cute, she had to admit, as one would expect. She took a note of his red hair too, as not many people had it so it stood out. Especially since she thought most Uchiha had black hair. Ryusei seemed like a ball of sunshine that drank an energy drink and it gave Mina a good impression of him so far. She was eager to get started.

“Well, I only really dabble in Taijutsu because my mom wants me to. It really is my worst subject.” Mina answered with an embarrassed, noncommittal kick that sent a small pebble deep into the woods. But then she gave Ryusei her own large, ear to ear grin as she held up her arm with a determined fist. Her arm flexed, showing muscle that indicated she did more than dabble. “But if I wanna do something, I wanna be great at it! As for style… hmmmm.” Mina placed her hands on her hips and looked up with a thoughtful expression. “I mess around a lot, so I don’t have a particular style. Oh! But my mom usually uses Goken when we train!” As an example, Mina took the typical Goken stance: One arm behind her at her hip level, with the other out in front of her with the palm facing to her face but slightly up. “Yknow? This thing?”

The boy was far too hyped to notice Mina's reaction to his comment about her appearance, and truth be told, he the outcome would've been the same had he been paying attention. He most certainly wasn't the brightest in the bunch. Therefore his goofy personality is what made him like-able during his time in the Academy... and perhaps even someone to keep their eye on, as far as teachers were concerned.

Mina soon explained that her 'interest' in Taijutsu wasn't exactly one of her own, but a decision made for her by her mother. Internally, this hit Ryu pretty hard, having parents who pushed him to live up to the traditions and standards of the clan he was born into. Not even a purebred, for his mother was considered an outsider, only tolerated due to his father's position. It might as well have been those two things alone that drove his parents to be so strict on him. Going as far as forcing him to change who he was as a person: this food-loving goober who had an obsession with action comics and martial arts movies. If being an Uchiha meant losing who he truly was as a person, then he'd rather not be one at all. It was already bad enough that he was unable to keep up with fellow members around his age. He wouldn't let any of this bother him anymore, however. He was Genin now, and could choose any path he wanted, regardless of whatever path he was 'destined' to take because of his birth.

Despite this choice being made for her, Ryusei was surprised to see her enthusiasm about working on improving her claimed weakness. With her arm flexed, he was able to see that she possessed muscle mass that surpassed his own, contradicting her claim to being an incompetent taijutsu practitioner. Even with her humble display of strength, the boy couldn't help but notice how it didn't take away from her feminine charm, rather, enhancing them. Mina also didn't have a particular fighting style, which made more sense now, given her current circumstance. By exploring and 'messing around' as she called it, she would be able to find something that she liked. Or maybe even turn out to be a master of them all! Ryusei himself was also opened-minded in this regard, eager to learn whatever he could about martial arts, but instead taking what was most useful to him and incorporating those principles, techniques, etc. into his own style. He felt that with Mina, they could learn a lot from one another.

"Goken?" Ryu's ears perked up at the name. It sounded so familiar... It wasn't until Mina demonstrated the stance from the style, that the memory sprung back to him like a hasty counter strike after a flawless deflection. Yes, it's true that Ryusei was likely the number one class clown of his graduating class, but the boy had a tendency to get himself into some trouble, too. He snuck off during one of the lectures to watch some Genin train in the Dojo, hoping to see some cool moves (at least, something more exciting than the lecture going on). He remembered watching one of them practicing this specific stance while reading from a scroll. Unfortunately for him, he was caught and escorted back to class. Ryu had what he needed however. Having memorized the stance he added it into his practice at home, his mind wandering with the endless possibilities of what this Taijutsu might be capable of.

"Oh, yea! I've seen that stance before!" He too positioned into the basic Goken stance, yet it was nowhere near as refined as Mina's, who had proper training from her mother, and not going off of sheer memory. "That's all I've ever seen of Goken, though." Absentmindedly scratching his head, he chuckled. This was beyond exciting for the redheaded wild child. He was talking taijutsu with someone who was equally as interested in it as he was. In a blink of an eye, his mood suddenly changed into one of extreme curiosity with a hidden tone of mischief. "So you've been watching and training with your mom using Goken. How would you like to..." If the sudden shift in his mood didn't catch her attention, then his advance forward most definitely would. His blood was pumping, and he was anxious for action! "Show ya moves!?" He'd dash towards her throwing out a simple left-handed punch, with his right held closer to his body, guarding his face. By no means was this meant to hurt her, but it was a rather swift execution. He was just interested in seeing her reaction. [ Quick Jab: Learned ]

Mina grinned wide at Ryu’s enthusiasm. While Mina was also an easily excitable person, like a golden retriever, she had to admit that the boy’s energy was infectious. She was initially nervous to come out here, and even thought about blowing it off. But meeting Ryu was proving to be pretty fun. “Yeah, I like Goken ‘cause it’s real simple!” Mina’s cheeks puffed out as a pout, but her eyes closed expression was still somehow a determined one. She imed throwing punches in the air as she continued to speak. “You just go in and overwhelm them with BOOM, and BAM, and POW! Just pure and raw power and speed.” Mina had thoughts of how her moth fought when they sparred. How very often Mina found herself flying through the air and into a wall due to something so simple as a punch. It was almost kind of embarrassing how often she got thrown around. So much so that she almost felt her heart sink at the thought. The redhead dropped the pout and held up her index finger, like she was performing a presentation for class. “Unlike, say, Kaiser Fist which uses a lot of chakra to maintain its key technique, the Kaiser Armor.” As she spoke, she funneled a little chakra into her finger to create sparks of electricity.

If Mina sounded like she was reading from a book, it probably was because she was. In her head, at least. While she always admitted Taijutsu wasn’t the easiest thing for her to learn, that never stopped her from learning what she could from books. Breaking it down to theory and application, what styles did what things and how. It wasn’t much, but the Genin thought it was a step in the right direction. The girl was distracted as the thoughts of different Martial Arts started to swim around her, absently daydreaming about the moves she read about while she caught absolutely nothing of Ryusei was telling her. It was like each word went in one ear and right out of the other. In the back of her mind the girl was absently aware of one phrase: “Show me ya moves!!”

With a pleasant smile on her face, Mina replied. “Yeah, sure I can-wait!” Her expression faltered and became one of sudden surprise as things finally hit her rock. Ryu charged at her and the young man sent his fist right at her! The girl could see the fist moving almost in slow motion and, much like Ryu, her demeanor changed as well. She snapped into focus and flicked her right hand down, pressing the still charged finger on to the top of the boy fist. The tap was light, but enough to redirect the blow far to Mina’s side and would make him lose balance. Mina flowed from the swipe by turning to her left and crouching. The girl made a complete turn as she extended her leg out to slam into Ryu’s already off balance stance. An easy sweeping maneuver, slamming the length of her leg into the boy’s ankle.

The redhead girl was moving on muscle memory at this point. While Ryu was landing, Mina would rise back up to her full height with her arm outstretched to her side. With a focus of will that seemed almost natural, chakra entered through Mina’s arm that made it glow a fight white color. She flexed the muscles in her limb as the momentum from her sudden rise carried her up, her arm slamming into the stomach of the young man. Mina was dimly aware of how much heavier her body felt, the red weighted bands on her wrist and ankles taking their toll on her maneuverability. The thought was disconnected from what was happening, the factual part of her brain taking notes and placing them away for later. Whenever that would be.

It took a second after Ryu hit the ground for Mina to truly come back to her senses. Like she was being released from a state of hypnosis, the redhead finally comprehended what had just happened. “Ohmigosh Ryu, are you okay?” The Genin ran over to her sparring partner in a mild panic. Her voice was a little more high pitched and filled with concern. She reached down with her hand to help him up. Her face was filled with worry for the boy.

One of the good things about the forest was it's age. The older the trees become, the thicker and more sturdy the branches are. Not to mention there are different sounds throughout this forest to conceal her noises. She was being careful anyways. Now, Tenshi on the other hand, she could hear his heavy breathing behind her. "Can you not breathe so hard?" Komo hissed towards Tenshi who looked like she had offended his ancestors and just glared at her, mouthing gaping slightly. With a huff, he just decided to lay down on the branch. Good. Komo jumped few more branches and finally found the area. She could see two of the stu- graduates at the grounds. One of them was Mina and the other was Ryu. Squatted down at the branch, she remained hidden at the shadows, trying to debate if she actually wanted to try with them or not.

The Hyuuga had more important things to do. Haha! Well, you know what they say: Big things come in small packages. And let me tell you somethin'... I pack a big PAWNCH. Komo's hand was resting against her face as she sighed, her fingers now pinching the bridge of her nose. This just made her not want to train with them more. 'You just go in and overwhelm them with BOOM, and BAM, and POW!' 'Yea. Not training with them. At all.' Komo had made her decision. Her hand removed as she remained watching them. He started to shoot out questions and to be honest, they were good questions. Her style, that was important to know. Then the tall pretty thing as Komo groaned mentally. Its why she couldn't wait to grow up. Teenager hormones. Shag anything that moves. Komo was no better herself, it's why she was tired of being around people and prefer to train alone.

When Mina had mentioned that the taijutsu wasn't her strengths and its been pressed by her mother, Komo couldn't help but mentally scowl at her. She hated students like that. Always bend over backward for their parents' expectations. She was a graduate for frick's sake, the girl could work on her strengths instead-but nope. Still obeying mommy orders. It's why she missed her family. Her heart dropped.

                                    Her family.

Her familly didn't care what she would learn or do as long she was respectful and her heart was full of kindness. Now mopey and even more not wanting to train, she propped her elbow up against her leg as she rested her face on her palm, watching as Ryu took the first step. Huh. Mina didn't do too bad. Ah well. She wasn't going to stay here for the rest of it. Rose up to a stand, she turned and almost yelled in surprised at Tenshi being right behind her. HOW DID HE- "Heavy breathing huh?" He said as he nudged her hard enough as she yelped and fell onto the ground, about good few years away from Mina and Ryu. Her body tensed as she made sure to land on her back properly. "Tenshi! ******** YOU." She shouted as she flipped the bird to a massive golden foo dog who looks very pleased with himself as he rests on the branch. Komo stood up and glared at Ryu and Mina as if it was their fault she fell.

Not a word of Mina's mini taijutsu lecture got through to Ryusei. His focus was on the target of his attack, her right shoulder, and her overall lack of preparedness for his sudden advance. He hadn't even noticed her initial reaction until his fist was gracefully redirected with a simple finger enhanced with an electric aura. What in the world is this? It was his first time ever encountering something like this. He could only toss it up to some kind of Raiton ninjutsu due to its electric properties. With his fist off course, it opened the right half of his body for an attack, and in anticipation of striking that area, Ryusei allowed himself to follow the direction of her parry, crouching and coiling his hips, spinning rapidly to face her once again, using the momentum to aim a hooking punch into her rib cage. Unfortunately he was met with the extension of her leg, colliding into him and sending him slightly airborne. "Dwah!?" [ Evasion Hookshot: Learned ]

The angle of her kick not only sending him skyward, but spinning as he ascended, everything was pretty much reduced to a blur. There was a incredible amount of force behind the attack that he was unable to describe; a level of strength in which Mina's body was deceptively capable of dishing out. Alongside the the collision with something solid into his hip. Holy mochi! This girl's got shins of steel! How she was able to go around stating that Taijutsu was her worst subject completely baffled Ryusei at this point. Not only did her physical strength and formal training say otherwise, but her reaction time and choice of counterattack were impeccable. Even with the advantage of a surprise attack while she was wholly unprepared, she was able to figure that a lower body strike would be most effective. She's so smart... This gear-turning mini episode wouldn't last much longer, as before he knew it, Mina was back at it again for a followup. Ohnopleasehavemercyonmegurl! Her lariat struck true, right into his stomach with that familiar impressive force she demonstrated with her kick only moments ago. Ryusei, completely helpless and vulnerable was knocked from his rapidly spinning nightmare, forced backward tumbling into the ground.

"Ow..." After a gasp of breath, a faint noise of discomfort (nah, pain, definitely pain) emitted from his lips, as he lay flat on his back staring up at the sky above. He was still in shock, and it was clearly written all over his face. Along with confusion. Mina quickly rushed to his side, worried for his condition, and that only confused him more. This face he was looking at now, was not the same face he remembered seeing after being sent airborne. Maybe it was the spinning that distorted his image of her, but Ryu could recall an intensity in her eyes that matched the blows she delivered. So focused. Her movements flawless. Perfectly executed. Was this due to the formal training she received from her mother? Ryusei had spent all of his time since the day he learned what martial arts was, practicing whatever he could get his hands on, alone. Including the movies, all of them he'd watch over and over again, learning their stances, forms, and strikes. Huh, getting beat by a girl doesn't feel as bad as the guys make it seem... He wasn't embarrassed, and he had every right to be. A grin curled onto his lips as he accepted Mina's hand, allowing her to help him up. "Yea, I'm good. That was..." There was a serious look in his eyes now as he stared into Mina's, a brief pause to follow.

"TOTALLY WICKED, GURL!" Serious moment over. Ryusei looked like a child at a candy store, starry-eyed and energetic despite taking damage that might otherwise prevent him from performing such drama. He grasped her by the shoulders, shaking her lightly - not intentionally, but due to the excitement he was unable to contain. "Those moves you pulled off were amazing! Like, did your mother teach them to you? They were so - gah, hyah, doriyaaaaah!" His excitement getting the best of him now, he was unable to express himself coherently, removing his hands from Mina's shoulders to enact martial hand movements to go along with his gibberish. Whether she knew it or not, Mina had won Ryusei's friendship. It wasn't hard at all to please him, but such a display of strength and martial prowess could woo him any day. "Yo! Let's keep going, I'm gonna-"

                                            Tenshi! ******** YOU.

"Tenshi, ******** yo- ...No, wait! I didn't say that!" His head whipped around frantically before spotting another girl a few yards away, flipping off... some kind of beast. That's a biggun' right there! He thought the golden beast was pretty cool looking. He had half a mind to go up to the girl and ask whether that was her pet and if he could pet it, but the glare in her eyes at this current moment stopped him from doing so. He'd be lying if he said this small girl didn't intimidate him at least a little bit. She looked pretty tough... and angry. "Uh, Mina... do you know this girl?" He'd say to her quietly behind closed teeth, forming a friendly smile as he continued to look the angry smol girl's way. He remembered her from the graduating ceremony, and passed by her a couple times when classes were in session. It appeared a lot of people avoided her. Or maybe she didn't like crowds. Or maybe... she was scaring people off with her resting meanie face. Wait! Maybe she's here for the training! Before Mina could give an answer, Ryusei beckoned her over with a wave. "Yo, shawty! Come on over and come spar with us. Whaddaya say?" The invitation was super friendly. Anyone with some kind of emotion sensing could tell that he was definitely not making fun of her size. It was just a term he liked to use for females shorter than him. Y'know, just trying to be cool and stuff.

Mina looked down at Ryu’s lifeless form and could feel herself start to panic. She could feel her heartbeat at a million miles per minute as cold sweat started to form on her palms. She killed him! What a fool Mia was, not being able to control herself like that! The girl ran her hands through her dark red hair and frantically walked back and forth. “Way to go, he’s dead.” Mina mumbled to herself, her pacing increasing in intensity as she went into a circle. If one looked closely, they might have even sworn she was digging a little trench with her walk cycle. “He was nice enough to offer help with your training, and you kill him. Good job Mina. Your first and last friend, and now he’s dead!” It was a shame, Mina was starting to like him too. In the short time they talked, it felt like the two hit it off really well. They had made a connection that, if she was being honest, she’d never really made with anyone else before. But now Ruisei Uchiha, rest in peace, laid there: still, lifeless and groaning, “Wait… groaning?” Mina’s eyes went wide and stopped in her tracks as two and two finally made four. She went over to him finally and she could easily hear the young man groaning in pain. A tsunami of relief washed over Mina then and she let out a breath. Ryu wasn’t dead, just a drama queen. That was when she finally held a hand out to offer him help back to his feet.

He was fine. The young man had that same smile on his face that seemed to light up the clearing. The clearing, by the way, was quiet as Ryu grabbed a hold of her shoulders. The red headed young man stared deep into her eyes. Mina gulped and met the Uchiha’s gaze and held it. She could feel her face heat up as a small red blush lit her cheeks a little. Why was he holding her like that? And why was he staring into her eyes with the same amount of intensity of a thousand suns? Mina could help but stare back with a tender shyness as the light twinkled in her own red eyes. She was so focused in on Ryu’s gaze that she wasn’t ready for when he started to shake her. Her head lolled around on her neck as she was thrown back and forth, while the boy exclaimed about how wicked she was. “Thank...you…” was all she could get out, her eyes swirling in her head. Once again Ryu’s intensity caught her off guard. And while she loved it, Mina was thankful to be let go. However, she mimicked the young man’s wide grin. “But you were so cool too! That punch was suuuuuper fast-like ZOOM, and WHOOSH, and KABLOW!” She yelled back as she threw a couple of blurring punches to the side of her

“Tenshi! ******** YOU!”

An unfamiliar new voice perked Mina’s interest and she whipped her head around to try and find it. She could see that Ryu looked just as confused as she felt. It didn’t take long to find the source of the commotion, as the duo tend to stand out. First was a girl, laying flat on her back and making an obscene gesture skyward. Mina remembered her, vaguely. Komo..riuta? The two had graduated together but had never interacted. And neither did a lot of people it seemed like, as now that Mina thought about it, the redhead never saw her hanging out with anyone. Komoriuta tended to carry some serious ******** off vibes, if Mina remembered correctly. However, the second half of the duo caught Mina’s undivided attention. “Puppy!” She exclaimed as she looked up into the trees, her red eyes formed into literal stars of excitement and love. Just as much as she recognized Komoriuta she recognized her companion, Tenshi. Not on a formal level, mind you. But a giant golden dog doesn’t walk around campus without someone knowing it. If Ryu had asked her a question the girl was no longer at his side. She’d already jumped up onto a branch adjacent to the large dog. “Hey Tensi!” She cooed, extending her hand. “How are you today, big boy? Can I pet you?”

Tenshi heard the red-haired boy also saying the same thing that Komo did recently. Was.. the boy hit too hard on the head? Dropped too many times as a baby? Maybe he should be checked out. Tenshi was rather concerned for the boy. However, as the red-haired female ran up to him and insulted his ancestors further even jump onto the branch, cooing at him and asked him if he could pet him. "I rather if you don't." His voice was deep and calm, soothing, someone you definately want to hear reading books outloud while you try to sleep to help you sleep. "I'm not a dog. Or cat. Or a pet to be petted." She was pretty tall for someone her age surprsingly. All three of them were kind of small to this massive foo dog anyways.

Komo scowled at the red haired female wanting to pet Tenshi but he can handle himself. Her arms folded across her chest. The moment Ryu had said Shawty, everything froze. The room outside makeshift dojo seems to suddenly be dark. Wait. There was no clouds today! No matter. It got darker and darker as a vein slowly appeared above Komo's head. Her pale lavender eyes narrowed and shrink to almost nothing, the feeling of dread could be felt in all areas. Her Byakugan was activated as the veins appeared on her skin to push chakra into her pale jewels. "Oh dear.." Tenshi mumbled under his breath. Just as quick as the feeling of death hovering over the battlefield, Komo shifted her legs and did some handseals, becoming a blur right towards Ryu. Right before the contact, Komo shifted her dominated leg forward as she made sure she wasn't going to ram right into Ryu. Her palm flat as she could see his chakra systems working. She wanted to kill him send a warning. Her chakra started to focus right into her left palm as it was straight and flat. With a slam onto his stomach, he would be sent flying back if the hit contacted. The moment it does, she appears back where she originally was before the blur as if she wasn't the one responsible for attempting to send poor Ryu back and towards a tree. "Don't. Ever. Call. Me. That. Again." Komo snarled.

A technique born from their innate ability to expel chakra from every tenketsu on their body, a member of the Hyūga clan can hit their opponent with a blast of chakra that will send them flying away from the user. It was also shown that this technique can be used with pin-point accuracy to target the weak point of a technique exemplified when Neji Hyūga was trapped by Kisame Hoshigaki's Water Prison Technique, and was able to dispel it. Can disrupt Chakra structures. This skill thrusts the palm forward into an opponent and releases a burst of chakra that sends the target flying back 5 feet per rank of the technique. The skill can be treated as spiritual when used to defeat an equally ranked ninjutsu, but sacrifices DR to do so. When used to counter a ninjutsu, the attack strikes such as to completely destroy it once contact is made, and the chakra in the strike also protects the hand of the user from it's effects.

"Coolio! Now that there's three of us, we ca-... Mi... na?" He was expecting their new, angry friend to come join them for some action, but instead Mina vanished from his side. For someone who was bad at Taijutsu, she was most certainly fast as she was strong. Ryusei was able to find her once again, among the trees with the large golden beast, trying to pet him. It was adorable, the boy had to admit. Until he heard the beast speak. It's deep, thunderous yet soothing voice came quite a shock to the oddball Uchiha; as did his response to Mina's intentions on petting him. Tenshi appeared so gentle - regal in a way, even. Perhaps he was some kind of mythical beast that didn't like human interaction very much? Or, you know, just not wanting to be reduced to a human's plaything, reminiscent to that of your average domestic pet. Still, it was nice seeing Mina from afar, her smile and enthusiasm made him feel warm on the inside. That warmth however, was soon replaced with an odd feeling of doom and dread that he might have otherwise felt intensely if he knew why he had to feel it in the first place. It did compel Ryu to fall into a stance out of instinct, however. What is this feeling? [ Fluid Stance: Learned ]

Oh... The moment his eyes fell back to Komo in search for the source of this sudden atmosphere, he felt a cold sweat starting to take over him. She was just glaring at both he and Mina just a moment ago. Why was she mad at only him now? He didn't cause her to fall. I don't understand. What did I do? The focus in her gaze reminded her much of Mina's when he launched his surprise attack, but this... was very different. A physical manifestation of what Ryusei could only assume was anger, took over her eyes. Veins popping from her temples, and lavender colored irises fading to nothing. "U-um, hey are your eyes... okay? Might need to go get that checked out." The smol angry girl shifted her stance and was suddenly preparing a series of seals. Is she coming to fight me? The answer to this question was answered almost immediately, as she moved forward with an insane amount of speed distorting her image into a mere blur. She definitely had a way of closing the distance between them in short amount of time, giving Ryu limited options on reacting, if any at all. He'd take a quick step backwards in hopes of dodging whatever she planned on throwing at him, and at least creating some sort of distance when she arrived. [ Shifting Tide: Learned ]

Just as he thought, he managed to step just out of range of her extended palm. Whew, that was close! What was with all these girls having insane amounts of physical prowess as Genin!? Ryusei was completely out of his league here. He was also blown away by the sheer speed the girl was able to approach him with. Literally. She didn't even touch me! Like that she was gone, and Ryu was being propelled backwards after being hit with what he felt was a gale wind. Once again, he was sent spiraling away until his body collided into the tree behind him with a loud thud. Laying face first on the ground, a plethora of sticks and leaves fell from the trees branches, showing just how hard he hit the tree from Komoriuta's speedy attack. He could faintly hear her voice as his head ringed, telling him not 'to call her that again'. What exactly had he called her? Ryusei was unable to remember after having his brain jumbled around for the second time today. Stars and pieces of dango swirled above over his head, as the dazed and confused redhead groaned in pain.

“You…” Mina blinked and stared at Tenshi, her eyes wide with bewilderment. “You can talk…” The redhead was crouched down as one would for a normal dog, despite the fact that Tenshi was much bigger than her. The foo dog’s voice was nice and thick and sultry. It was like a soothing lullaby to the ears The surprise only lasted for a moment though, as Mina’s disposition returned. Her face lit up like a spotlight as she continued to talk to Tenshi. It was almost like light radiated from her and flowers and hearts danced around her. “Does that mean you can roll over too? Shake hands, erm...paws?” The girl asked. It was almost like the fact that Tenshi was a mythical creature was lost on her. Or she didn’t seem to care. “I don’t think we’ve met officially, but I’ve heard of you. My name’s Mina and it’s nice to-”

The hair on the back of MIna’s neck rose up and a chill ran through her spine. Something wasn’t right down below. An intent to do harm was so strong that even she could feel it from up in the tree. The Genin looked down and what she saw absolutely blew her away. Komoriuta just...disappeared and reappeared right in front of Ryu. Mina couldn’t even track her movement before it even occurred to her that girl was going for a strike! And as soon as it landed the black haired girl went back to her starting point as if she’d never moved. And all before Ryu was even off of the ground! The feats of speed were incredible and Mina had a hard time even believing it. Rage started to fill up inside Mina as her new friend fell to the ground. “Hey!” She yelled out, her anger evident in her face. Energy started to flow through her body in an intensity she wasn't normally used to, though at the time she only felt that it was rage. That newfound energy formed itself around her as a a faint glow of deep red, and small sparks of the same color danced around her that were intermittent for only a few moments at best. The surge of electric energy, however, did make her hair starts to stand up on its ends.

Mina jumped down towards Komoriuta and she spun, swinging her leg out to perform a spinning round kick at her! Mina would miss because of a combination of the Hyuuga’s speed and the weights on the redhead’s body slowing her down. Mina hit the ground between Ryu and Komoriuta and skidded back. She faced the other girl and rose into a fighting stance, a different one from the Goken stance. It was actually a lot closer to Ryu’s boxing stance from earlier. Mina knew she wouldn’t be able to keep up with Komoriuta should a fight begin. She was too fast, far too fast for Mina to keep up with. “There was no need for that!” Mina scolded, giving the Hyuuga a hard look. By the time she had even risen to her feet, those intermittent sparks were now on constant display, her whole body covered in red-white lightning. “He just wanted you to train with us. What’s your deal?” Unbeknownst to Mina, the ground around her feet was starting to slowly churn.

Tenshi's eyebrow slightly rose when Mina was rather surprised that he can talk. Usually tamers' pets can talk but then he reminded himself that they just graduated. Ah. Perhaps this red-haired female was not quite used to the shinobi world or haven't been exposed by much tamers. Tenshi felt a pang of annoyance when she continues to ask if he can roll over. Shake hands. Rather, paws. Didn't he just explain that he doesn't do pet stuff? This was why he doesn't like anyone pet him, he doesn't want them to get the idea. At the same moment Mina had felt something bad was going to happen, his golden hues glanced towards Komo and Tenshi stood up on the branch, he was going to stop Komo but when she uses her bloodline, even Tenshi would have a hard time stopping her.

Komo used the Byakugan to make sure that Ryu was still okay. Not like she would admit it or show it at all as her eyes were starting to slowly dilate back to its normal shape. Good. He was still alive. Despite the attack she did, she didn't want to kill him. There was no concern expression on her eyes or face, she doesn't want others to ever know that she does care about people a bit. Just a very small bit that's very deep and hidden inside of her. Branches and leaves fell on Ryu. That's when she heard the other person yell at her as she ducked and side roll, her left hand resting on the ground below her as her right was prepared for whatever was going to happen, her left leg bent and the knee almost touching the ground while the right leg was extended and straight. If it wasn't for her Bykaugan, that kick would've hit her for sure. 'I need to be careful.' With an annoyed expression on her face, Komo rose, looking up at Mina slightly. "You do not have the right to lecture me. You can't even make your own decisions. I do have to admit, you are good at taijutsu but if it's not your strength, then ******** your mother and do what you want to do. Unless you take joy in obeying your momma like a good little daughter you are." Komo spat towards Mina. "Then again, I guess it'll make you the perfect shinobi. Heeding the orders of the one higher-ups than you without question. Komo just revealed why she hated to be called a Konohagakure shinobi since she was stuck with the orphanage here. She didn't want to follow anyone rules like her family. They had their own rules of course and they do respect the villages' that they visited, followed their customs and rules but ******** becoming the shinobi and obeying everything without question. "My intention is not to kill him. Besides, he would be fine if I was going for the killing blow. There's this thing called the lizard brain and he's trained enough to know what the killing blow is like and would've stopped it before it happened. He's a better fighter than we both thought." Komo admitted. Her active eyes glanced toward Ryu,"Just don't call me anything regarding to my height, ever. ********. again." Unable to watch this, Tenshi had left. The little pride and joy he once knew, was still gone.

"Hnnng. Don't worry porky bun-bun... I'll save you!" Ryu muttered, barely coherent in his dazed state, apparently stuck in one of his foodie fantasies again. It would be the sound of Mina's voice that brought him to his senses in almost a snap, shaking away the stars and floating pieces of dango above in time to see her attempt to strike the speedy smol brat. The latter's reaction was quick; inhuman, even. What was scarier, was her choice of evasion from an attack angled from above and behind her, where her eyes were unlikely to spot the attack. Yo. Does this chick have eyes in the back of her head or somethin'!? Ryusei forced another vigorous shake of his head to make sure he wasn't just seeing things. There was only so much trauma his brain was able to handle in one day, and he was pretty sure that both Mina and this pale-eyed girl put him way past his limit.

He was happy to see Mina come to his defense in this situation, but was worried even she may be reaching quite a bit if she thought could go toe-to-toe with this girl. That was until he noticed the crimson sparks of electricity dancing around her frame. Its energy emanating with such a magnitude that it could be felt by Ryu, who was at least double the distance away from her than Komo was. Woah... He wasn't sure whether to be impressed by her willingness to stand up for him, or this display of power that proved she was far stronger than Ryu may have anticipated. Was she holding back the entire time they were sparring? The oddball stared at her, mixed emotions of awe, confusion, and excitement brewing a storm inside of him. Even her stance was different this time; the refined form of the Goken stance he remembered was no more, and something... more familiar had taken its place. Ryusei could not see her face, being turned towards her soon-to-be opponent, with the intentions of fighting her - or so Ryu would assume. He had more faith now then ever, that if anyone could take the angry smol girl on between the two of them, it was definitely her. There was no doubt in his mind.

An argument of sort ensued between the two girls, with the smol brat spitting some hot fire at both Mina and the redheaded goober's direction. Not only that, but her last few words indicated that she was capable of killing - if she wanted to. For a child (teenager) just starting their Shinobi career fresh out of the Academy, it was, on quite a few levels, unsettling to know that one was not only capable of, but willing to kill someone. While it is true that a day it is required may come, Ryusei was far too immature to understand this, let alone think of the possibilities of committing such actions anytime soon. She means business... When she looked at him, basically threatening him to never mention anything about her height, he was reminded of the pain still ebbing throughout his body due to her attack. And she's strong... A smirk curled to his lips, the only sign of the excitement he was containing within.

She might be a bit of a sour-puss, but her skill in martial arts couldn't be ignored. Looks like she was part of the training now. If it's one thing he learned about her, it was that she was rather self-conscious of her height. Did she not like being small? Was it this 'flaw' that made her so angry? Ryu didn't know; nor was he smart enough to learn a lesson the first time it was taught to him. What he did know, was that he wanted to be like her. Like them. Then what am I doing laying here? Let's do this! Up on his hands and knees at this point, his gave his entire body a good shake to remove the twigs and leaves all over him, save for a couple twigs that found themselves stuck in his hair. He didn't bother with them, instead leaping up from his position on all fours, propelling himself skyward in Mina and Komoriuta's direction. [ Orchid: Learned ] His body spun head over heels in a rapid rotation as he sailed toward them, which may have signaled he lacked full control of the movement he was using. However, after flying right over Mina's head, he was heading straight for Komo with the brightest smile on his face, and a heavy punch headed for her torso area. Mina might have recognized this as the simple punch he threw at her, however this one was more precise, intended for power, on top of the momentum provided by his... strange aerial maneuver to close the distance. [ Repeating Quick Jab: Learned ]

"How about you start talking with your fists!?" There was nothing but pure joy and happiness in his demeanor that some may find disturbing. The skill gap between Komoruita and Ryusei was obviously wide, and yet he was still choosing to come at her. Speaking of Komo, one who potentially possessed a form of bloodlust due to past events or otherwise, might be able to relate Ryu's current emotion in that same sense albeit in a different form. With his fighting spirit brimming from every fiber of his being at this moment, there was no denying that perhaps both Mina and Komo had awakened something even Ryusei was unaware of. A combination of the mass amount of inspiration from the two female's martial prowess, and his desire to reach their level was the result of this. Whatever 'this' was. This uncontrollable desire for battle, manifested as pure, genuine joy.
