Ostarath was in very good spirits today. She had a plan. Everyone had been far too glum lately and she had a plan to change all that. In her relatively short life the green had come to release that if there was one thing that made people happy, it was eggs. Ostarath of course was far too small to make any eggs of her own, plus that took a lot of time, so alternatives had to be found. Fortunately there were plenty of firelizards throughout the Weyr whose help could be gained in times like these. After plenty of searching, sweet talking, and bribery Ostarath had what she was after. A basket of brightly coloured firelizard eggs almost ready to hatch. Now she just needed homes for them all, but she wasn't the type to make it that easy.
Good morning everyone. Ostarath called as far as her mental voice would carry. It's a beautiful day and I have a gift for you. Dozens of firelizard eggs that need loving homes, to anyone clever enough to find me and claim one. Don't dawdle now, you know I'm not to type to sit still. Ostarath carefully settled herself, gently placing her basket down between her foreclaws. She'd wait here a little bit, but there were no promises that she would stay put for long. The firelizards that were tailing her settled around her to keep watch. Mainly looked intently at the basket of eggs, they weren't going to let this young dragon just run around with them after all. The others eyed the large satchel around the dragon's shoulders. It appeared to be an old firestone sack, but they knew that inside were many, many, scraps of meat for the new young ones. They had helped to fill it from the green's hunting after all.

The Game
Green Ostarath had firelizard eggs to give away, but to win one from her you'll have to find her first. This green likes to move a lot, so she'll probably move to a new location every hour.
To get a chance at finding her have your character look in one of these locations: Hatching grounds Dining Hall Weyrling Barracks Firestone store Infirmary The lake Feeding Pens Star stones
If you find her she'll offer up her basket for you to choose from. Post the number of the egg you've chosen so we can strike it off the list and Ostarath can keep track of how many she has.
If you see someone else find her, be sure to hurry to that spot before she moves on again.
The limit is one egg per character. Ostarath wants everyone to have a chance, so even though she has plenty of eggs she'll only let you take one, no matter how many times you find her. Players can win several eggs, but only one to each character.
The eggs should hatch soon, so any that haven't been claimed by April 12th will all go into a big free for all firelizard hatching.

Well that is very nice. You should have asked me to help Though not upset with her sister, Falxath eyes whirled excitedly as she relayed the message to Lianly. Poor K'lir, had he been caught unaware of his dragons antics again? Well at least it wasn't a bad thing, but hopefully everyone would take it in good spirits.
"Well come on, where should we look?" The young woman asked her green, who pondered it for a moment. The Lake! The Lake! She cried and bolted out the barracks, leaving her partner in the dust. No choice, best run after her.

It would seem that this is supposed to be a game Angeloth told his partner. Only a few days old the weyrling pair were still trying to settle in and learn, though the bronze only ate, slept, played and oiled. "So we should play to win!" L'han exclaimed, already bursting with excitment.
Ostarath wouldn't know how to care for eggs, we should hurry before anything bad happens The bronze jogged off, leaving his rider to fall in step. "But where are we going?" Eggs should be on the Hatching grounds, we should find them there Made sense after all

Well wasn't everyone in a bouncy mood! The woman watched weyrbrats looking in bushes, though giving side glances to look out if they were being watched. Guess no one wanted to give away what they had or had not found. Vess was a little huffy though, the golden firelizard had been acting odd for a while. Inolyn suspected but didn't know for sure if the gold had risen or about to rise, but knowing a young green dragon was hiding eggs all over the Weyr it explained something. "Well that was very nice of you to let her have your eggs, but if you're going to be upset about it we should go find them."
Vess chirped and disappeared between, well she was going to be no help at all. Since she was a greenrider, and she knew how greens liked to think and act, she would find some in a very strange place. Where was a place that no one might think to search? The Star stones seemed as good a place as any, and somewhere the young green dragon should not be playing around. Jenth gave her a lift up the cliff side, where she started searching in the nooks and crannies around the stairs and stones.

Lianly and Falxath - Upon their arrival at the lake they would find it calm and distinctly without Ostarath.

L'han and Angeloth - Sitting just inside the cavern, basket between her claws, was Ostarath. The green shifted excitedly, gently nudging the basket with her nose. Congratulations, you get first pick.

Inolyn - The Star Stones were indeed not a place for a young green to playing around, and indeed Ostarath was not playing around there. Not right now anyway.
Angeloth looked very happy with himself, not that anyone seemed to tell since he always looked dower even with swirling blue green eyes. L'han however there was no mistaking his pleasure at being first, a little dance in his stride. Looking at the clutch he picked the one that seemed to catch his eye the most; #33
She's not here... Falxath was sad and confused not to have found Ostarath at the lake. If she wasn't here, then where was she. "It's okay! She shouldn't be too hard to spot out here, let's go look if she went to the Feeding pens" Lianly suggested before Falxath started to get upset.

Lianly and Flaxath - The Feeding Pens were usually a good place to look for a weyrling. This time unfortunately the green hide of Ostarath was missing.
Kindra hadn't wanted to listen to Ostarath, she had Asparagoth to worry about, she didn't need a fire lizard too. However Asparagoth had decided he wanted to go hunting for the green around the weyr as part of his daily phsycial therapy, a good wander around the weyr would do Kindra good too.
"Kin...Kindramine, let's find some of the small cousin's eggs" he told her, "i would like the company when you are busy"
"Alright 'goth, alright, only for you" She sighed, it was no use trying to argue with the white, she never could refuse him whenever he wanted something, there was no point when each day was a gift, whatever it took to make him happy.
"where did you want to try looking first?" she asked, stroking the soft neck of her dragon. "Let's try the hatching grounds, it's nice and warm there too"

Kindra and Asparagoth - All that remained of Ostarath in the Hatching Grounds was a wallow and some claw furrows in the sand.
S'yn wrapped his jacket closer around himself but paused mid-step as Ostarath's voice slipped into his head. Contrarath paused as well and hummed thoughtfully, debating whether or not to take part. Lacey perked up from where she lay curled around her bonded's shoulders. A game?
Sure sounds like one, S'yn thought back brightly, with excellent prizes. A fun game with an equally fun prize sounded like a fantastic way to take his mind off of-- well. Much worse things he'd rather not think about, so he didn't! Come on, let's go hunt around for her, see if we can't find her and win one of those eggs.
Contrarath promptly dropped the idea of joining the hunt and instead turned to saunter towards the weyrling barracks. No, I think I'll pass. Suit yourself, S'yn said, patted his dragon's flank and then set off to find Ostarath. "Hmm, I wonder where she is... What do you think girl?"
Lacey shifted eagerly on his shoulder, her claws plucking at his jacket, and she peeped excitedly as she pushed blurry greenish blobs into his mind.
"Excellent idea, Lacey!" Reaching up he stroked her head as he trotted off towards the dining hall. What better place to begin the search than there? If she wasn't there, well, he could always grab a snack to eat while he headed somewhere else to look!

S'yn and Lacey - Although the Dining Hall was a busy place any time of day, it was missing Ostarath at this time.
Aaaand nope, no sign of her anywhere in the dining hall. S'yn shrugged, swiped a meat roll, then headed back out as he took a bite of it. Hmm, where to try next...
Lacey cheeped plaintively, so he tore off a little piece of his meat roll and fed it to her. "I guess she's hiding somewhere else, but where.. hm." He had no idea where she might possibly be, so with a shrug he turned and walked towards the firestone store.

S'yn and Lacey - The Firestone Store was a rather odd place for a green that didn't flame to be. Maybe that's why Ostarath wasn't there.
After peeking in the firestone store and not spotting her there either, S'yn hummed, took another bite of his meat roll, then left.
Lacey peeped, pushing thoughts of food and hunting and colorful blurry shapes at him, and S'yn made a noise in the back of his throat after he'd swallowed. "Oh, that's a good idea, maybe she's outside?" Ostarath was too young to hunt for herself yet, but that didn't necessarily mean she couldn't be exploring wherever she felt like. So he headed outside, towards the feeding pens next.
