The living space is just the right size for one person; although, he doesn't really need that much space. There is only one bedroom with an attached full bath. There is a half bath out in the hallway for guests though.

The fight was satisfactory. It would be more of a pain to go find another if he was going to be picky about the skill level. Thus, he brought Ikuto back to his place. The mini limo pulled up to a hotel before he got out of the car and waited for him to follow suit. For someone like him, it might have been a bit strange for the manager to live in such a place. Melanie's apartment was bigger than what he called home for now. In fact, there was only one bedroom. He honestly didn't see it as a problem though. It was a pretty nice hotel though. The place had a workout room, a pool area, and other typical features.
Soon they entered an elevator that brought them to the top floor. Kai walked down the hallway until he arrived at his door. He unlocked it and walked in--only holding the door open for half a second before he took off his coat and shoes. It wasn't until he was putting them away, after the door had closed, when he finally spoke up. "Welcome to your new home," he said in a normal tone. Then he started down the small hall while pointing out the bathroom off to the side. "That leads to the half-bath. This is the main living area." He added the latter part as they walked into the area that housed the kitchen and living room. Kai didn't leave any time for the other to take a good look around since he continued on to the next room. "This is the one and only bedroom. It is your choice whether you want to sleep in the bed with me or on a sofa." He made his way over to the master bathroom. "We'll be sharing this of course." He didn't mean at the same time, however. Kai turned around to look at him for the first time since they arrived. "Any questions?"
Whether there were any or not, he ushered him back to the living room to offer Ikuto a seat on the couch.

If he had they would likely have a gladiator less in that place. Still it seemed that he had shown enough potential, because once they went back in the limo, Kai did not bring him back to the shop. Instead they traveled to the feline yet unknown roads until the vehicle came to a stop once more and the other moved to get out of the limousine. The feline watched them but didn't take to long before he followed after them. As the door of the limo closed behind him and the car drove off, Ikuto glanced at it before he focused back on the building before him. Of course he lived normally long enough to know it was a hotel.
But it surprised him that someone that said to be an agent, chose to live in a hotel. Unless of course they owned a large suite. As he followed Kai, Ikuto looked around a bit while he could as they passed until the elevator doors closed behind them. So far they had traveled in silence and Ikuto wondered slightly why that was, but he didn't linger on it. As they passed the doors in the top hall, the feline glanced outside the windows on one side as he stopped for maybe a second to admire the view before he reminded himself of what he was and he quickly went after the other man again, slipping inside the room just in time before he let go of the door. If it was electric, then he would be locked out without a key card after all.
While Kai took off his coat and shoes, it reminded Ikuto he was hardly dressed for this kind of place and perhaps looked like he didn't belong. But loose from the regular shower to keep them presentable, all he had was this particular outfit. It couldn't be helped. Ikuto heard the door lock behind him, but he ignored it for now. So far Kai had not given off the vibe of a maniac that would attack him the moment they were behind locked doors. Or violate him, much like some man he was still getting out of his mind. He was glad to be rid, but the man's conceited and sexual approaches had left their mark on the feline's mind. It was probably pure luck he still had his virginity and wasn't bound to the man yet.
His thoughts were interrupted when Kai suddenly spoke up and the feline looked up at him from his position. Ikuto wasn't sure how to react to the welcome though, so he stayed silent for now. This was no home of his yet after all, or it didn't feel that way. Still he followed his new 'master' as they went through the place and showed him around real quick where the feline managed to get at least a glance of what they spoke of. Not that it would be a big issue, this place wasn't exactly large, so it would be difficult to get lost. Ikuto blinked a bit as his ears dropped somewhat when he heard there was only one bedroom. But when he was presented by the choices he was quick to point out his preference.
"I'll take the sofa." he said glancing at the one in Kai's room thinking that was what he meant, not eager to share the bed with yet another master. He would still be in the same room of course, but since he was supposed to be the man's bodyguard that kind of made sense. With that out of the way they seemed to move on to the bathroom and the feline was glad to hear they would be sharing the bathroom. Of course it remained to be seen to which rules that would be submitted and whether or not he would be required to do something specific in return. Ikuto didn't want to go that route, but at the moment that was what he feared with any master. Lastly they got to the living room again and Ikuto was slightly surprised when Kai offered him a seat rather than just telling him to 'sit' in effect.
The mystel sat down before he looked at Kai again now he wasn't ushered elsewhere. "How will the bathroom be scheduled?" he asked since the man had requested if there were questions and the feline expected to still get a tall list of a ton of rules to come. Of course he wondered about tasks and about how he was to protect Kai from who, but there was no official contract laid out yet, not that Ikuto minded much, for now the promise of resuming, albeit perhaps sporadically, his search for his brother was enough to garner some measure of dedication.
He didn't bat an eye at the choice which was made. It was the one he preferred. Kai sat as well. Not too close or far away. There was no need to make someone uncomfortable by being oddly distant or suffocated in their bubble. When the question was asked he took a moment to think about it. "The morning would be best. I use it more often at night." He was talking about bathing or taking a shower since there was a half-bath in the hallway. At no point did he think about washing up together. "For now, job-wise, you shouldn't need to stick to me like glue." He wasn't in any obvious danger as of yet. There was a feeling in the air though. A warning of sorts. It was one of the reasons he figured it wouldn't hurt to get his own bodyguard. He wasn't about to reveal much of anything though. "After we make it to the studio you can search until evening. I'll be there for the whole day." With people he knew and trusted. One can never be too safe, but it was too early to worry. Not like he was much to do so in the first place. "You may use anything in this main area. Read or watch what you want. Cook if you prefer to do so. If you need specific ingredients just let me know. Do you have any other questions?" He asked after not really laying down any rules. Ikuto was more like someone he hired to do a job than anything else. There was no need to make outlandish rules. If something became apparent later which needed to be discussed then he'd have the conversation.
Whenever the talk about rules and expectations finished, he moved on to something else. "Did you want to go shopping for clothes after I get off work? Or do you want to just order some?" If they could manage just buying things online they could do it right now technically. It'd be less of a pain for him as well. Whatever worked, in the end, would be fine.
--:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- Where: At 'Home' With: Kai Status: Talking with Kai Outfit: Padded pocketed pants, Black shirt, barefoot Theme:Tribal Music --:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- Ikuto looked at Kai as he sat down nearby. It was a kind of odd feeling the way it was going right now. More so for Ikuto it felt oddly unusual, yet refreshing. Unlike Morticai who had always insisted to sit close next to him and nearly never could keep his hands off the feline, this man seemed to observe a sort of healthy distance. They didn't enforce their presence on the feline, nor tried to touch him in whichever way all the time. For a while Ikuto had been dealing with a being that kept sticking to him most of the time. The mystel kept his gaze on Kai as they spoke. Not to challenge them, like some might interpret it, but to show he was listening. If possible he would like to keep his newly found freedom.
When Kai mentioned about the bathroom, the feline nodded. So mornings were best. That was no problem since Ikuto had actually been given his regular cleaning just the day before. Of course he preferred to get clean every day, since he liked to keep a clean environment, but it was no disaster to wait until the upcoming morning. What he didn't expect though, was that Kai would answer some of his questions already before he even asked them. But that was a good thing, it saved time. Of course the biggest surprise was to hear that he wasn't exactly needed just yet, and to even get an entire day to search, by himself. He hadn't been by himself for a long time. Perhaps he lucked out this time... But then he could only hope this luck would hold and not come to an abrupt end once again.
The way he had turned out by now, the mystel did not think his chances very high of this continuing. Kai would get tired of him, or he would decide that the feline wasn't what he had been looking for, as was Ikuto's way of thinking right now after being abandoned as often by now. But that didn't mean he would not try to keep up and do his 'job'. The list just kept growing at that. Freedom to cook whenever, even deciding his own meals and ingredients. Free use of the main room. It was like the short time at Nathaniel's all over again, minus the children. When Kai asked if he had any other questions, Ikuto thought for a moment before he shook his head. "You pretty much answered all the questions I had for now." he replied.
It was not entirely true, but Ikuto refused to ask a question as embarrassing as 'how long will you keep me around?'. It made him sound childish and perhaps would play to much into the other's hands. He might have asked if he could look at how the man worked, but they had used words as 'can' rather than 'have to'. Despite himself, the feline had to admit to a curiosity of how agents worked and how Kai was at work. Still, no other rules... no pitfalls...or were they to come when he least expected? For now Ikuto shook such thoughts out of his mind. He was starting to get paranoid and he didn't like it. Before he could fully rest his thoughts though, Kai suddenly inquired about clothes. Of course if he were to be his bodyguard in time he couldn't keep looking as this, he wouldn't seem to convincing to anyone.
Ikuto blinked a bit at the question itself though. "Order? Like you order food?" he wondered out loud as he tilted his head slightly. Was that actually a thing nowadays? Especially his last master he wasn't much known with the stuff as they made their own clothes and Ikuto's in effect. Even if these were used ones that were just adjusted for him. Before this entire depressing episode of his life, Ikuto had always gone to shops to get his clothes, as much as he loathed shopping. It almost sounded interesting and curiosity getting the better of the feline, he decided not long after. "Let's order." he said, for a moment trying his luck with a more casual reply. That said he did know clothes meant measurements and he was quite certain any older measurements would no longer apply.
He had lost quite some weight, though it hadn't affected his strength nor his own training. The feline glanced at the ground for a short moment before looking back at the other, still confused with this new way of interaction between a buyer and himself. "So...." he started. "H...how does that....work exactly?" the mystel asked with some hesitation, thinking it might sound dumb or uneducated. Of which Ikuto was neither. Some stuff had just flew over his head over the passed years. even when he was with Nathaniel, who actually trained him as a bodyguard before getting rid of Ikuto, they had bought clothes in the store as he was used to.
The conversation went smoothly. Kai didn't notice any feelings related to what was being said. There was no reason he would know what the other had experienced in the past. Perhaps order was not the best word to use when talking about purchasing clothes online. That head tilt. It had a slight cute factor which didn't seem to fit the feline's typical demeanor. Strange. For Ikuto to use an action like that. Not like he cared. He could do what he wanted for the most part. "Something like that." He said as he reached for the laptop with said on the table right next to him. Turning it on he looked over when the other was hesitantly asking the question about how it worked. How did what work? Buying something online? A barely-there grin appeared on his face as he patted the spot next to him. "Come. You have to get closer to see the items." He explained as he pulled up a site which should be good enough for the more casual things. "How long have you been stuck with a collar?" He asked while avoiding the word 'slave'. He wasn't trying to pry. It was just odd for the feline not to know what he was talking about.
"Let's start with pants. Here. Point out what interests you." He either turned the screen so the other could see better or placed it closer to the feline--depending on how much closer Ikuto might have gotten after he told him to come. "There are more options if you scroll down." If he had to show the other what he meant then he would do that. After Ikuto seemed to get the hang of it, they would go through the website slowly gathering typical outfits which were needed. Nothing fancy or extra. The work outfit needed to be done at a store so they could measure the feline. It was quite fitted after all. "Do you need anything else?" He was talking about personal things: like hygiene. Especially ones he wouldn't think to buy for the other.
--:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- Where: At the home With: Kai Status: Shopping online with Kai Outfit: Padded pocketed pants, Black shirt, barefoot Theme:Tribal Music --:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- Ikuto had reacted completely instinctively. Unlike some might think, he did not control every reaction of his. And that was exactly what the feline now realized because he blinked a bit before he looked away from Kai trying to break the mannerism. There was no way he would show that much weakness to Kai. It wasn't safe nor wise to get to comfortable. Ikuto was still quite convinced that even Kai would eventually get rid of him, as his previous masters had done in their own ways. Not that the mystel wanted to be a slave or pet to anyone, but what was even worse than having a 'master' to answer to, was being stuck in those damned cages. And so far, other than Nathaniel, Kai was treating him almost normal.
Once they started to talk about the online shopping, Ikuto listened with interest, it sounded quite the same as ordering take out indeed. When Kai patted the spot next to him though, the feline's eyebrow raised slightly before he glanced hesitantly. He was still not quite familiar with this man nor his possible motives. Still, it already was a lot better than he had been through so far. Ikuto only hesitated for short moment before he decided to gamble it and sit next to Kai. And they seemed to mean it well about the laptop. The mystel sat at a slight yet comfortable distance when the other turned the laptop so he could look at the screen. But the question had not escaped him. "Fair enough" he thought to himself. Yet it wasn't a question he could answer on a whim.
"Uhm,.." he said as he looked away for a moment while trying to remember when he was first taken down and thrown in a cage. Combining that with the masters he had and how long he had been with them, he came to a close enough estimate. "Three years." he finally said after making the calculations in his mind. "Before that I lived a relative normal life but have always done shopping at the stores, even though I can't stand shopping for hours. Get what you need and get out." he said, muttering the latter audibly but less pronounced as the first sentences. Still if it was his history of slavery they were after... It was just a thought since they inquired about his collar. "I have had masters before this, one of them had me for most years and they trained me." he added though there he stopped.
After all there was no need to go through all the bad memories. "This is the first time I hear you can buy clothes online like you can order food online for delivery." After that the feline fell silent for a bit as he looked through the items Kai showed him he could choose from, only replying when he was asked specifics. Going through the items together like that it didn't take very long to have the clothes he seemed to need. Ikuto didn't need more than that. He was quite a simple soul when it came to material possessions. Besides, where would it all go if Kai would grow tired of him? After they finished with the clothes and Kai asked if he needed more, the feline nodded. After all there was some stuff he would really need, since he was a neat freak about himself.
"Maybe my own shampoo and body soap if you don't want me to use yours. Other than the general things like toothbrush and such, maybe some needle and thread?" he asked carefully. Though he wouldn't wait long before explaining it as he waved his tail a bit. "I always need to adjust my pants to work with my tail. I can do that myself though." he added the latter quickly before Kai might think it might be an expensive undertaking. As much as he had hated his time at Morticai with their advances, they did teach him a useful skill for the rest of his feline life: Sewing. Before that, when he was still free, Ikuto always had to pay extra for special fittings. That was no longer needed however.
He didn't notice how the other tried to break his mannerism. It was just curious when he noticed the head tilt, but he quickly moved on. Oblivious to the inner negativity the other was sitting in. Even if he did know the feline's thoughts he wouldn't make an effort to make him feel better. After all, he would not promise anything even if he didn't see a reason as to why he'd return him. As for the hesitation to sit close to him, he noticed it while not bothering to wait around for Ikuto to move. Luckily, the feline had done so before Kai went to show him the screen.
He did not expect the other to tell him as much as he did. At best he figured he would get the 'three years'. "I see." He said when the other explained why he was new to shopping online. Not bothering to inform the feline how he also was a 'get what you need quickly and leave' type. He kept his gaze on Ikuto as the other spoke. Keeping quiet for the most part. "To fight and protect?" He was asking what exactly the other master trained him in. Kai did not attempt to get any other information related to the past masters.
A barely-there smile formed on his face for a brief moment. "It can be useful but we will still need to go to a store to get a tailored suit for when you're on the job." He meant more for those moments when they'd be out in public. Kai himself didn't typically walk around in casual wear and didn't need his company to cramp his professional style. Not like he cared what others thought, but it was best to look the part.
"Do you have a certain type you prefer to use?" He was more so talking about what they are used for than brand: like dandruff, tangles, oily hair/fur and so on. Kai would add things to the cart as they talked about it. Only stopping when a needle and thread was brought up. Ocean like orbs shifted to look at the feline. An explanation soon to come. "I see. A useful skill." He meant useful for Ikuto himself. The manager didn't have a use for sewing when he had the money to pay for someone to do it for him. Time was more important to him than cash. Kai added the last request before actually ordering the items. He moved to put the laptop he then closed back on the table. "It should arrive tomorrow. We can get the rest after I get off work." He said as he leaned back into the pillows. Kai had to break in the new talent before taking Ikuto to get fitted and perhaps shop for groceries. "If you want to take a shower you may." He offered just in case the other wanted to get the stink of the shop off him.
--:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- Where: At the house With: Kai Status: Taking a shower Outfit: Padded pocketed pants, Black shirt, barefoot Theme:Tribal Music --:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- The feline kept vigilant from any unwanted advances from Kai now he sat closer, but the man just spoke a bit as he showed them the online shopping way. Ikuto figured they would ask more, so he wanted to be as clear as possible from early on. To be truthful, he just wanted to forget all the sordid events and get on with his life. Sadly he couldn't avoid getting reminded of his situation at least, not with the collar he was wearing. When he had mentioned Nathaniel however, he seemed to get a new question. Though it was exactly what he was trained for by the man. The feline nodded. "Before this I was bought by someone that taught me how to shoot, how to fight and all the ins and outs of the security force." he said before he fell silent about the subject.
The mystel preferred not to think about it. If Ikuto was surprised by the mention of the tailored suit, he didn't show it. And it wasn't like he hadn't expected it. Nathaniel had had the hardest time to get the feline in one of those 'stuffy, ugly' suits. But he finally managed and Ikuto had to admit it did give him a more professional look, even with his ears and tail. The clothes were done pretty quickly. Since Kai didn't consider that Ikuto would need a lot of different clothes and the mystel himself wasn't one that wanted a lot of clothes, that part was a perfect fit for the two. Then they got back to the subject of hygiene, a favorite of the feline. Ikuto was almost happier about Kai letting him get washing and brushing products than getting better clothes than the ones he was wearing.
Of course at the shop they had own toothbrushes but his sharper than usual canines needed more care than just your twice a day brushing. At least in Ikuto's concern. "No, I don't use anything specific. There is a shampoo for cats you can get at a pet store, but it's not a necessity." the feline didn't expect Kai to buy him anything significantly specific, but it was what he always had used to get his fur on his ears and tail to shine. Unlike actual cats he could not wash himself licking all over his body. Like any human or humanoid he needed shampoo and soap. Once everything was taken care of, Ikuto watched as Kai leaned back in the couch and spoke more. By the sound of it he had to stay in the house to receive the package of clothes tomorrow. It meant he wouldn't be able to do much, but it also gave him a day to get his clothes adjusted after receiving them. Provided he would have at least a needle and thread to do it with.
Ikuto's ears perked up a bit in surprise when Kai mentioned he could shower now too if he wanted to. The mystel had expected he was to wait until the next morning to have his shower chance. But if he offered, the feline would take it without hesitation. Ikuto hated the soap and shampoo the shop used. "Thank you, Mr. Delmar." he said. It felt weird to call someone who seemed no older than him Mr. but it was better than being told to call him Master, which Ikuto never would anyway. With his permission granted, Ikuto gladly got up and went to the bathroom to rinse himself of that vile shoppe and it's products. The mystel didn't have any other clothes yet, but his current outfit wasn't dirty either. Of course it was all for the clients, but the feline was glad they were given the chance to have a bit clean clothes at least.
The information given about the others skills was enough for him. Kai didn't bother to inquire more on the subject. It wasn't as if he was going to return him after the feline proved his worth at the colosseum. The picking and ordering of clothes went rather well. He didn't notice any change in the other when hygiene was brought up. Either it wasn't noticeable enough or he just didn't care to pay attention. When the shampoo was mentioned he looked over at Ikuto. "Pet store?" Surely there were better places to buy something specific like that. He wasn't an actual pet after all. Were there shops made for ones bought at the establishment he went to earlier in the day? He didn't say more about the subject even if the feline neglected to clarify. Eyes back on the screen. The issue with the tail was something he didn't actually think about at the time since it was never brought up.
When the thank you was given he merely nodded. Kai watched as the feline got up to make his way to the bathroom. A moment later he went into his bedroom and started looking through some clothes. "I'll leave some clean clothes on the bed if you want it." He said before the sound of water could be heard. The clothes picked out were hopefully close to the size of the other, but they were definitely more loungewear. It wasn't as if they were going out anywhere. If there was mention of the tail situation he'd probably say something implying they could be cut if needed. Soon he was back relaxing on the couch. Well, it was more like he was doing something on his laptop. There wasn't much else to do. If Ikuto was hungry he could get something to eat himself. After doing some work he planned to wash up and head to bed. They had to wake up early after all.
--:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- Where: Kai's Home With: Kai Status: Trying to readjust to this new situation Outfit: Bit to big loungewear Theme:Tribal Music --:::------::------------------->⛥<--------------------::------:::--- Ikuto blinked a bit when Kai suddenly turned to him asking about the pet store comment. The feline nodded. "For my fur. It is the same as a cat's and they sell that at pet stores." he said but since Kai didn't seem to care much about it, Ikuto dropped the subject and continued to follow what the other did at the laptop. The feline was all to aware it didn't really matter much what he wanted or thought anyway. That said, Kai was a lot more easy on him than the serpent had been. It was soon after that the feline near bolted to the bathroom, eager to wash himself with an actual shampoo for a change. Ikuto went to the bathroom and had just locked the door when he heard Kai about clothes. For a moment the door was unlocked and Ikuto poked his head through the opening to inquire about the clothes.
His ears perked a bit and twitched as he listened. Once he was told he could make space for his tail and Kai had returned to the living room, the feline turned on the water and gave himself a good scrub. It was much better than the junk they washed them with at the shop and the feline would enjoy it, despite his position. As he showered he thought to himself about the change he had gone through once more. Yet it seemed what Kai was after mainly was enough loyalty to trust the nekojin to guard him. No other requirements it seemed. That would be easy enough to do. Once he was done with the shower he dried himself off and went to the other's room where he would be sleeping as well. Ikuto tried them on and though they were slightly to big for him, he didn't mind. The feline actually liked it when clothes weren't as tight since he had always been in that work outfit the last months. After determining where his tail would come through the pants, Ikuto looked around and when he saw a pair of scissors he made a hole before putting it back on and putting the tail through. An added bonus was the fact the pants wouldn't slide off his waist, since his tail kept it in place for now.
Ikuto had no means to make it look more natural as he had no needle and thread at this moment, but he settled for it and went back to the living room, now clean and fresh for real. It felt good to the clean fan nekojin. After getting the permission he had made something simple, lacking his favorite ingredients for now, and set back down on the couch, glancing at Kai while he ate as they worked away on their laptop. But since they seemed to be really busy, Ikuto decided to wait until they were done or would approach him. If not before they went to bed, the feline would just go to bed with a goodnight once told to sleep and lay down on the sofa in Kai's room for the night, feeling remarkable free compared to his previous 'master'.
His housemate was turning out okay so far. They covered the basics of the purchasing agreement early on. Kai took his own shower sometime later in the night. It may or may not have seemed like an abnormal amount of time to Ikuto. He wasn't going to lessen his time with water just because he had a roommate now. It was long after when Kai deemed it time to head to bed. They had an early rise after all. There was no way he'd be late for work.
The manager didn't eat before they left the apartment in the morning. He just grabbed someone small along the way. "Want something?" He asked while they waited for the person in front of them to order. When it was his turn he ordered whatever the other wanted. They didn't eat at the small cafe though. As soon as he got what was ordered he handed off Ikuto's portion as he headed out and toward his real destination. It definitely wasn't the best meal for him to be eating, but it was better than nothing.
After a short while, they came up on the building which housed everything he needed as a manager of multiple talents. As he guided the other through the building he didn't bother to greet anyone they happened to pass by. No one greeted him either. It was probably because they knew they wouldn't get much of a response out of him. When they entered the elevator no one else was in it. He could have made some idle talk, but Kai just didn't care to. If the feline wanted to start a short conversation he would comply though.
The doors slide open with a 'bing' before he walked through them and into the hallway. Kai continued in a certain direction while expecting the other to follow him like he had been this whole time. It wasn't until he walked into a certain section when others started to give him light greetings. One ended up inquiring about Ikuto. Then, and only then, was he introduced to someone. "Ikuto this is Roger. He does all the paperwork." The guy complained lightheartedly about his introduction as Kai started to move on. Soon they ended up in an office of some sort. He walked around to the other side of the desk and sat down. "Sit if you want." He offered nonchalantly as he started to look at something on his computer.

Once Ikuto had set to relaxing on the couch when he was finished eating, he didn't really pay much attention to anything else around him this time. Compared to where he had been this was turning out to be quite an easy life. No heavy labor, the clothes also looked much more comfortable. The feline couldn't say that he turned out bad right now. Right now, since he still wasn't convinced he would be kept this time around... It had been promised before and that turned out to be an empty one as well. That said Kai mentioned nothing about keeping or anything, so at least if he would be thrown aside this time, it wouldn't be unexpected. For now though the feline decided to enjoy what time he had in a function he actually knew he enjoyed before.
The evening further passed quite uneventful. Kai went to take a lengthy shower, but the mystel didn't wonder about it. After all this was the man's own home, he shouldn't adjust nor feel like he should. Once the bed time was called, Ikuto got up without complaint and followed the other back to the bedroom. He was actually kind of tired after this day. Ikuto went to the sofa in Kai's room and lay down on top of it. It was quite roomy for a couch and the plus point was that he was not forced to share it with his 'master'. It was all for himself. Not long after laying down, Ikuto had fallen asleep and he didn't wake until Kai's alarm clock woke him alongside the other. Especially with his sensitive ears that could hear miles away it wasn't a sound he could ignore.
The feline growled a bit before he looked up half asleep and it only took him a moment to remember what was going on. Considering this was his new 'home' for now, the alarm clock would probably become a daily thing. That was not something the feline was looking forward to, but it couldn't be helped. He sat up and yawned as he stretched himself. His sleep had actually been quite good. The sofa was soft and he had plenty of room to stretch his body at the very least. The only thing that could make the sofa less comfortable was if he would ever fall off. The morning was quite unusual to the feline too. Mostly because he was surprised to see that the man got ready to leave without as much as a sandwich. Ikuto's stomach growled in protest as he was used to eating in the morning by now, but he sighed and followed suit his ears down slightly.
This could prove to be an interesting day if they were supposed to work on an empty stomach. However his worries were soon waved away when they got close to a cafe. Ikuto could smell the scents from miles too of course, but he hadn't known they would stop by there. Ikuto's ears perked at the question and looked up at the menu. When they left the cafe, apparently Kai was in a hurry, wouldn't it benefit him if he would leave earlier then? It was so unhealthy to eat on the go!, Ikuto was holding his little treasure of a cup of Macchiato Latte and a few donuts, ironically for the health loving cat. He just never had the chance to try them out even before he got caught, so he wanted to try now. With his 'breakfast' in hand the feline followed Kai as they made their way to work.
By the time they arrived at the building, the donuts were already gone and Ikuto had licked his fingers, thrown away the paper and was enjoying his Macchiato Latte next. That one was known to him. Very well in fact, he adored this drink and liked to take his time with drinking it. The nekomata only stopped for a moment when they arrived to look up at the building. What was it with these people and their high layered houses? The feline shook his head and followed Kai inside with a short sprint. He wasn't on duty yet after all. Kai had been clear about that. It was only needed in some occasions. Still, the mystel would make sure to keep an eye, ear and nose out just in case. The walk through the building was quite unique considering the amount of people.
But only when they arrived in the elevator did he glance at Kai before looking away and drinking more of his Macchiato. "So quiet here. Don't you guys greet each other in the morning?" he wondered to Kai once he swallowed his sip. Whichever the reply would be from the quiet man beside him, the feline figured it was just normal for Kai. Finally when they exited the elevator did at least some people say hi to the man. Of course none spoke to him, but the mystel wasn't expecting it either way. He just enjoyed his drink until they suddenly stopped for a short moment and someone was introduced to him. Or actually them to each other, fleetingly. "Hello, Roger." he was just able to utter before he had to excuse himself to follow after Kai once more.
The feline chuckled lightly at the complaint, but he still give the one called Roger a wave and entered the office with his master. Even for Ikuto the mystel felt unusually well mannered. Perhaps it was the good night sleep, or maybe his favorite drink which he had missed badly the passed years. Though once they sat down and time started to tick away, the feline started to begin feeling restless. He wasn't used to doing nothing, nothing at all. After a while he got up and went looking around the office on own accord before he stopped at a machine with paper in it. A copy machine, the feline guessed. It gave him an idea and he took a few sheets from the abundance of clear white paper before he turned to Kai. "Do you have a pencil, or pen?" he asked, not wanting to just grab something from the man's desk. The copy machine was one thing, but he just wasn't in the habit of just grab something from a personal place like a desk.
She didn't notice the fact that the elf was about to go into fight mode after waking up in such a fashion. It never really occurred to her how her actions could bother the guys. She was a doer. Not one to think much about things before or sometimes even after the fact. Sometimes people had to bring the issue up with her before she would notice. It probably made her seem inconsiderate even though it wouldn't ever be her intent. When everyone was ready to go they made their way downstairs to head out of the apartment complex. There was a bit of talk about what was on the agenda for the day. "Yes, yes. He'll probably be testing your skills." She said with a smile before adding a bit more. "I have some work to do myself. We can shop for what's needed when we are both done." Melanie glanced back at the elf to give him a smile. Did he need to follow her around all the time? It'd probably be better to talk about their situation privately. Mike was bought as a talent and would be working under her manager. She would only have say over how the singer interacted at home really.
It wasn't long before they arrived at the building. Melanie chatted a bit about the place as they went up the elevator. It was nothing terribly important though. When they arrived at Kai's office she knocked on the door. "We're here~" She said in a cheerful tone as she opened the door and walked in soon after. Green orbs glanced over at the one who was apparently drawing. "Oh~ You draw? Can I see?" She started to make her way over before Kai said something to stop her. "What?" She let out a sigh. "Fine." Before she turned to leave he spoke again. This time asking her to give him a list of what she might need. "You don't have to get anything we were just going to buy stuff after work." Apparently he wasn't going to budge on the matter. "Fiiine. I'll make a list and send it to you later." She wasn't going to think of everything they needed though. Melanie still felt it was best to go together to get some more personal items at least.
With that out of the way she turned her attention to Mike. "Have fun~" She gave him an encouraging smile before shifted her gaze toward her bodyguard. "Let's go." He said in a cheery tone before glancing over at Ikuto to give him a wave. "See ya!" Then she dipped out of the office to leave them to it.
As they walked down the hallway she decided to strike up a conversation. "Soo how are you feeling about everything so far? I mean I can't imagine what it must be like..." she gave a brief small smile after trailing off.
