L Lawliet and BB Cosplay Pictures::

There is an anime convention in Spring that I am hoping that I will be able to go to. I will be going as Beyond Birthday, and my brother will be going as L Lawliet.

I have the handcuffs, and I have a wig. I will also be buying strawberry jam. However, I do not have enough money to go and have my eyes examined, as well as enough money to buy red contacts. Do you think my cosplay will do alright, even though my eyes won't be red? Usually I'll just take pictures and edit it using Gimp 2.

Anyway.. I cosplay as L Lawliet a lot. So I decided to show you guys a few of my pictures. Tell me what you think.

You're so cute as him! Those are great pictures.

I don't think you'll need the contacts, seeing as his eyes probably weren't red anyway. (If he did, Naomi Misora would have pointed it out. And in the anime, that coloring was used only momentarily to call attention to the fact that a certain someone had the Eyes.) He might have actually worn gray or black contacts, if he was trying to look as much like L as possible.

But yes, I've had that idea for a while now. I finally got my mom and brother to help me out. He didn't feel like putting on shoes. So when people see that, they're all, "Well.. I know why L isn't wearing shoes.. but why isn't he?"

That is true, but not many anime characters actually put in contacts.

I just want to make sure people know me as Beyond Birthday and not as L.

It might not happen very often, but they have put in contacts. It's even been a major plot point in some animes. *cough*Code Geass*cough* Thing is, I don't know how BB found out what L should look like. :/ (Or Near, even. He managed to make a finger puppet and a mask of L without seeing a picture.)

If you can manage to pull off the whole "off-kilter"-ness of BB, there's no way they'd mistake you as L, unless they thought you were really -doin' it rong.- (It's sort of fated for people who don't know who BB is to think that you're L. The trick is making them suspect you're not who you say you are, which would be, of course, Ryuzaki.)

Short list:
L : B
hands on top of knees : arms wrapped around knees, hugging them
constant supply of sweets : taking a lunch break for jam
the only one eating : offered Misora some tea
never laughs : practices laugh
almost never gets up from chair, but when this happens, he only slouch-walks : crawls around the room in search of evidence
And the major difference - tries to save people : kills people to make a point

Well then, I think I could do that pretty well. But.. I need to work on my laugh. It sounds funny. My brother does it better.

I can't find strawberry jam though! I only keep seeing strawberry preserves.
