So, would you?
  Yea, it'd be cute.
  Probly not.
I'm open to it, I guess

I probably will when they're very little, I've found some adorable onesies in various different stores. And I've seen loads of tiny band shirts and stuff like that.

And when they got to an age where they didn't want mommy and daddy dressing them anymore, then I'd certainly encourage them to say so.

My baby girl will have a lot harder time stopping me from putting her in little velvety, frilly dresses though xD

I guess the whole point of being goth is having your own opinion and being independent of society but a baby can't voice an opinion so yes, I would definitely dress my kid in gothling things. In fact I've already started to look for online places to get baby goth clothes. The true question is whether or not a child follows nature or nurture, because if it's nurture than without a doubt they would choose goth, but what if it's a childs nature to enjoy light colored things more. I suppose I would suck it up if my kid started begging for a clothing item from outside of my preferences. It would really disapoint me though.

I'm probably gonna be the weird gothic mother who makes/buys gothy clothes for her little ones. Then the kids will come home from school and ask, "Mommy, are you a vampire? 'Cause someone in my class thinks you are."

Just wait... Just you wait until I have kids. They'll be raised on good food, good parenting, and Evanescence. And they will be the cutest little gothy children around. heart

About the bolded part, I hope you meant you would raise them on evanescence when they are old enough to handle that type of music emotionally speaking. o_o;

Personally I think that kids should be allowed to do as they want aside from what they need to be taught in order to make it through various situations they cannot handle on their own, ranging from clothes to any other facet of life.

Holy blast from the past, Batman! O-o I was notified that you quoted my post, and that was the first reminder I've had in quite a while that I'm actually still in this guild.

A lot of my interests have changed since I posted that. I've long since stopped wanting to be a vampire clone of Amy Lee when I grow up, and reading that I honestly wanted the next generation to think I was a vampire... kinda freaks me out a little.

Now that I'm actually closer to adulthood and thinking realistically about potential future offspring, I highly doubt I'm going to raise my little ones on Evanescence. If I wear something gothish and my kids like it, I might try and find them something similar but kid-sized, but other than that I doubt I'm gonna go out of the way to gothitize my kids.

It's fine, now I get to reminisce about how dorky I was when I was a young teen.
... Downside to that is, now I feel really old for needing to say that, haha.

I have been known to dress my daughter in things that are more my taste but she's never complained, she's 2 and a half and trust me she lets me know if she doesn't want to wear it xD

I keep her cute and kid like still but I throw in lots of cute skulls and stripes and stuff but mostly I just dress her like a little girl, I was a little girl once too razz

My issues are that she already wants tattoos and facial piercings haha, that takes some explaining to her, I'll be fine when she's old enough if she still wants all this then she can have it but I believe in letting kids be themselves they'll turn out whichever way suits them best.

Also I'm currently pregnant and hoping for a little boy this time 3nodding

Yes and no. I would probably buy them a cute hoodie with a skull on it or get them into different types of music. But I would never get them into the whole life style against their will. I don't care how they dress or what they choose to wear as long they have self respect, safe, and happy. If they look up to me and ask me for hand-me-down, sure why not. That's their choice. smile
