Dane was always happy to take some of the dogs out for a walk, but it was getting a little ridiculous. She was either making a few trips, which was particularly exhausting the the bigger dogs and some of the ones that were not exactly leash trained yet, or she was having to take a small pack of them out at once. That was always its own grand adventure, though the clinic was thankfully close to a spacious park and nature hiking area and allowed her the space to struggle in relative privacy.

Really, she needed more help at the clinic. Her parents were too busy with the admin and veterinary side of things to really be able to help with the tasks that took them out of the building, which was why they asked for volunteers in the first place. Now, things were getting to the place where they were seeking paid employees that could take the dogs out, and play with the cats and other animals as needed.

For Dane, it was the ideal situation. She was getting paid, albeit nothing to brag about, for something she had been doing since she was a child anyway. Unfortunately, the downside was she was, so far, the only one on the payroll. She needed to find someone else to help lighten the load, or at least take some of the leashes, so they could keep the boarded and recovering pets happy and healthy.

And she could also spare herself from too many leg days. While she loved to spar and train, and had a deep interest in things like martial arts, being pulled and dragged by excited dogs could really only do so much for her. As it stood, she did not really have the free time or the energy to pursue anything else.

But family, and the animals, always came first.

Today, she was walking a group of four dogs. Not the biggest batch she had ever taken out, at least by head count. The dogs themselves, however, were all strong and excited, and seemed to immediately form a bond that meant they were all on the same team, which Dane was excluded from. She was currently doing her best not to be taken off her feet completely as the four dogs charged forward to a batch of trees off the park's hiking path.

"I don't think we're supposed to go over there, guys!" Dane huffed, the harnessed dogs not at all responding to her helpless tugs, barreling toward a flower patch surrounded by a small fence with a delicate sign that gently suggested people stay out for the safety of the flowers. The trees were on the other side, after all, and everything between the dogs and their target was collateral damage.
