[prp] Can those that wonder be family? [ Jeiyana x Torii ]

There was a chill so cold that the Jei's arms and legs seemed to numb. She was thankful for the numbness with the swellings on her ankles. She had forgotten what it felt like to be warmed up by another body, it had been months since she run away from Torii. A friend she often visited, but her heart grew stronger for him and feelings she could not understand made her rush off but he left her with a gift...

That was made her stomach and body swell beyond compassion. Her ears had laid down and she felt at moment she would be ready to burst. Her fever heightened and finally she felt release... the sound of a burst. Wait... was she giving birth!? All that movement she thought was her stomach talking!?

With it, small kits came through. First, the Spotted One, with a split tail. She pushed again, and again. She knew there had to be more. Surprised she held the kit close to her and began to lick at him. Then another popped out when she least expected it.



She licked them repeatedly and began to wrap them in leafs, mimicking a box shape.

After so long, nothing happened.. She was looking at their box leafs with confusion and anxiety. Those were kits in their, they were her kits! The afternoon was soon ending, and she thought she was about to fall asleep, when she felt a terrible pain she screamed for hours until soon two kits popped their heads out at once.. their struggle was hard and she felt made weird things, something not like the other two. Her pain grew until finally she passed out with pain.

She awoke the next day, in shock of the sight. A weird pair of eyes, a slender neck and disformaties and in fear of such weird creatures, she panicked, picked up her two boxes and fled. Bleeding all the way til finally she got to the opening of Torii's den and fainted with (2) little boxes within her grasp.

A shadowy figure heard these kits cries. They sounded in agony and the shadow was sure why... The shadow figure took pity, and although they couldn't take the kits in, no matter how scary they looked. The shadow began to wrap leafs around the kits. The box shape were odd, but it was the best the shadow could do. It was scared that the kits may have had damage from being exposed to the open air for too long, but nothing else could be done. The creature followed the blood trail and soon the trail stopped and not a thing in sight to continue the path...



It looked down at odd boxes, and hide the boxes in a bush, and hoped for their safety before it disappeared in the morning's light..

Tori had decided to take a break and wonder for a while. He hadn't been to his home since he last saw Jei. Which seemed like such a long time ago. She was someone he held close to his heart, and cared for dearly. However, things seemed to have shifted. Things got complicated. Feelings, thoughts, and emotions became confusing and miscommunicated. Then one day she disappeared! He could tell there was something off about her before she had run off. He was surpised, but he understood. It wasn't like Tori to hang around one girl for long anyway... Though, it's not like he wasn't fond of the idea... Especially when it came to her. But at this point all he could do was wonder, and hope one day she would return.

Until then, he would be on his own again. Tori was beginning to feel a bit home sick lately though. So he decided to wonder back to his den. He was close by, and an easy walk. He did sleep well the night before. He had heard screaming from a far. He wouldn't have made it in enough time if someone was being attacked, so he stayed to avoid any problems. It had shook him a bit though, and his eyes did not want to close. His den sounded so comfy to get some rest. To head back now just made perfect sense.

Weaving through trees and bushes, he finally made it home! He could see it in the distance. But something seemed out of place. There were colors he didn't recognize. He couldn't make it out from his distance, so he quickened his pace. Once he reached the opening of his dweling, there she was! JEI! What was she doing here and what was with her? EMotions soared through him. Not knowing what to do. He dare not move her body in case of injury. Instead he put his body close to hers to give her warmth. Hoping it would bring her back to.

Not knowing how long she had been out there, but enough to regain some energy she had lost giving birth. When she felt a warmth upon her, her eyes shifted some... Exhausted ridden, she slowly lifted her head and her blurred eyes made out Tori's face.

"Tori~.. Tori..!" Her eyes began to water and tears started running down her cheeks, what could be hormones. Worried, but without words to express her thoughts she lifted herself enough to show him the two boxes she had. Now,
fully colored to their supposed selves inside.. "I don't know what to do.. I- they-
you- and." Taking a breath and trying to wipe her tears away. "I don't know how to be a mother..what if- I eat them? Or- " The worries she had because of the false paranoia she had against her father. A mother she hadn't ever met. What good was she to be a parent?

"I-I-'m...scared.."

Hearing his name Tori looked down to Jei. Only to find tears in her eyes. Tori brought his head up with panic! His first reaction was that she was hurt! Until he realized she was trying to speak more. Moving as she did,
he looked to what she was trying to show him. BOXES?! He now saw what those colors were hiding within her pelt! Colors and marking relating to Jei,
himself and their family. How could this happen? How DID this happen. Well,
more like WHEN did this happen? He was so caught off gaurd and confused!
She ran away from him, to only come back with this?! He didn't know what to feel. But he knew Jei must be feeling worse than he.

Tori chuckled lightly. Hiding his own concerns to comfort hers. "Why would you eat them?"

Tori didn't remember Jei talking much about her family. But who ever knows how to be a parent when the time comes? He sure had no idea how to be a dad. Though both his parents were there for him growing up. And his mother being a complete saint. How did he even end up how he did. A playboy who only wanted to flirt with girls. What kind of father would he even be? What could he possibly teach to his children? This was something he had never expected. But it happened. And now THEY had to deal with it.

Tori pulled himself closer to Jei for more comfort. "Don't be sssscared. I'm here now."

And though Tori was scared too. They could get through this together, right?

"My father did... he ate my mother and my siblings.."

She lowered her head and slowly tried to get up. And with that, two kits rolled out. Her body must have held them closed..

"Woah!?"

Her body shook at them, they were so tiny... purple? She hadn't any idea where the purple had came from, but the spots were most definitely hers.. Carefully she rolled the sleeping babes back inside. Helping the small boxes back to their rightful way so they were safe inside, although she hadn't any idea how to make the boxes sturdy enough for them. She did the best she could!

"I felt something moving in my stomach.. I thought you would think it weird, so... I ran away.. I didn't know they were in there.. I saw them- and didn't know what to do.. so I thought maybe.. you knew. I tried to find Tsu, I thought he would know what to do. But- But he's gone!"

One could tell the ulaya was simply petrified, and quite disturbed over the events that took place.. Leaning against him and burying her face in to his neck.
"Can I come back home? I don't know where else to go...even if its just a little while, maybe I can find a home for them- or .. find Tsu.. I just need time. Please-" Her eyes were beginning to water again, but she was trying so hard to keep her brain sane and her emotions from lashing out in confusion.

Tori wasn't sure what to say about Jei's comment on her father.
Was it even true? Do other Ulaya eat their kits and kit's mothers? He had never heard of such things. And sometimes he wondered where Jei even came from to say such things. To have such worries.

As the kits rolled out from under Jei, again, Tori was at a loss of what to do.
He watched as she put them soundly in their boxes. He wasn't build to be a father. He never even thought about it. But he wasn't going to abandon Jei.
That wasn't him either. And as she spoke he couldn't understand why she wouldn't just tell him. He could've helped her. They could've figured it out. He surely could've guessed she was pregnant if she felt something moving in her stomach. I felt a little disappointed that she didn't confide in him. But then again, I suppose their whole relationship wasn't quite established in full detail.

He pulled her closer. "You could've come to me. We could've figured it out together."

Maybe this would pull things together for them. Or maybe everything would just completely fall apart. But he would never turn her away. "You can ssstay as long you need."

Things would work out... Right?

"I would have thought you would think me weird because my stomached moved in all sorts of ways. Babies, I didn't imagine up- You know? " Lifting herself up and bringing a gentle sigh when the babies were rushed back in to their boxes.

"Can I stay?"

There was a pause, then she looked to him. "We!?" It was an odd concept to be had. Which her nerves rose and she began to laugh. "We can~ we can.." Nudging him slightly and with just that touch, she rubbed her face in to his neck and let it graze against him, like a cat and down to her neck and shoulder. "Can you pick up one? It's hard to carry them around .." Shaking off her nervous laughter...

"I should have told you sooner. But We're here now-. They are too..I don't know what is the first thing to calling them~ babies.. I suppose? How do you think up a name? And if they don't like it~ I don't like mine all too much.." Rambling, she was still nervous and shy about it all- with a flood of emotions.

As she continued to speak his head continued to spin. He was present, but not completely. Things would've been so much easier to process, and he would've had so much more time if she had just come to him sooner. But he instead got bombarded with the news and the kits at the same time. And there was no denying they were his. The markings, there were some similar to his family. One was the color of his mother... His mother! What would she think?! His father?! Her family wasn't the only one with crazies in them.

Thinking of his mother. It actually calmed him down some. His family may have had some crazies. But his mother was not one of them. A little oblivious, sure. But the sweetest female you would ever meet. Surely she didn't know what she was doing when she had him and his brother. But she still made it through. So why couldn't they?

Letting his thoughts take over, he could barely remember her last words before he realized there was silence. Letting out a cough to bring him back to reality, he looked her in the eyes and smiled. "I wouldn't worry too much about whether they like their namesss or not. They cane alwaysss come up with a nick name."

His replied suddenly sounded dry to him. Emotionless. He didn't want to make her feel any worse then she probably did. He really needed to get himself together. Nuzzling her cheek for a moment. He tried to give her a more enthusiastic response. "Don't worry, we'll figure it out. Together!" (:

"I don't.." Getting her face covered in the box. Exhausting.

"I can't sleep."

Passing out again.

As she slept. The boxes moved a bit, then were still for the rest of the few hours. Her tail twitched, and instinctively curled around the boxes.

When she woke up, her body propped up, protectively over the boxes, growling immediately. Then fell forward. Causing the boxes to move about. Looking about again..

"Home..I'm..home. Again.."

Remembering back when they called this place their home. It was, his home originally but..something happened. He invited her in.. then.. they bonded. She laughed.. they shared memories.. then, this became their home. Looking for him... "Tori!?" Still needing food, she looked back at the boxes... Wondering what she should do..

"I guess.. I scared him...I'll have to find Tsu or someone,... Ren.. " Pushing her paws against her head. "What am I gunna DO!?!?!?!?"

He had thought he had composed himself enough to put her at ease with his words. However, she didn't seem comforted at all. She still seemed... Afraid. He was about to open his mouth to try and calm her once more. Until she suddenly collapsed. He ran to her, now concerned himself. "JEI?! Jei?!" He slightly shook her, seeing if that would bring her back to life. Nothing happened. Looking to her chest, he could at least see she was breathing. Putting his ear to her mouth he could hear how shaky her breath was. Putting his paw to her face, he stared at her. "Poor thing. Ssshe must be exhausssted after everything that hasss happened... After..." His gaze shifted to the boxes. "After thessse little onesss were sssuddenly brought into thisss world." He let out a sigh.

What kind of "man" was he? How did this happen? He couldn't even remember what started to sever their paths. Why did she even leave? Tori cared dearly for Jei. She wasn't frightened by the flame that eternally burned on his tail. His reptile tongue that accentuated the s's he spoke. On some occasions she reminded him of his mother. So out there sometimes. But it was part of her charm... That was it. He wasn't going to let Jei be on her own anymore. He would stick by her side and they would raise their family together. His mind was made up. But first...

He let Jei sleep. Pushing the boxes close to her for warmth and easy protection. She was exhausted, she needed nourishment. So, he would go get her some. It was an uncertain decision, but he couldn't wait for her to wake up. She wouldn't have the energy to travel far. So, as to not freak her out in case she woke up before he could get back. He left her a note drawn in the dirt close to the entrance of the den.

"Jei,
Pleassse ssstay here and ressst. Do not be alarmed. I have only gone to go get you and the kitsss sssome food and nourissshment. I'll be back sssoon. And we'll figure everything out together.
