A couple years ago, I started a band with a few good friends I met on my college campus. The band became a big part of my life. I made many new friends, wrote a lot of music, played a lot of shows, and I slowly began to understand what it meant to be and independent musician. I grew to respect all of the other bands, as I realized that the people I met at the local shows could be the next big thing. However, I also realized how hard it is to get your name out there, and for bands and musiciand to accumulate fans. Not just many fans, but real fans.
I started this blog/magazine called Melody's Melodies about a year ago, and now, I'm trying to develop it into something that will help all kinds of artists and musicians. With the blog, I want to try to help these aspiring people in ay way I can. I will write articles about them, and try to show the world their music.

This article, I wrote about a good friend of mine, Alex Gordon. He is a singer, songwriter. An exceptional musician, he has high aspirations and wants nothing but to share his music with the world with his solo project !A!

I can relate to him very much, because I also wish for my own band to grow. However, I feel an obligation and a deep desire to help out anyone in this position.
