"I quite feel terrible for not participating here... Oh, how I love a sweet café. I shall just leave you this, with my sincerest apology." The Freak left a note on the counter before walking back home.

”May I take your order, miss?”
Asked the pretty maid
”Some tea, my dear, would be a bliss”
”We're all out, I'm afraid”

”Then might I have some coffee?”
”Which type would you prefer?”
”You have one flavoured toffee?”
”Gave our last to that good sir”

”May I then some juice request?”
”Would orange suit your taste?”
”Say, would that be freshly pressed?”
”Yes, although it might be laced”

”How about of milk a glass?”
”Would goat milk be alright?”
”Thank you, but I think I'll pass”
”Yes, I thought you might”

”Just a bit of water, then
And a pastry roll, I think”
”I'd hate to disappoint again
But there's a problem with our sink”

”So tell me, dear, what can I get?”
”Don't think you'd like it, Miss...”
”Oh, it will be alright, I bet”
And the maid gave her a kiss

In that moment, their bright eyes met
”How shall I pay for this”

((I'm going to post the last riddle now since I have job testing in less than an hour than I have to travel to my brother's to go with him out of town to my niece's graduation after that))

When it's stiff, stick it in.
It goes in dry and comes out wet,
The longer it is in, the stronger it gets.
It comes out dripping and starts to sag.

What am I?

She blushed brightly behind the mask, as she often would when Minty was about. "I-I don't... M-maybe some other time, then. Thank you for your kind words, though."

"Any time you're ready and it's possible." She smiled behind the lacy gas mask, "Until then, I'll just owe you one smooch!"

Taking out her pad of paper for taking orders she wrote:

1 smooch

and handed it to Sweets.

The Freak blinked, looking at the paper before her. "Uhh... Thank you, dear." She took the note, carefully placing it between the pages of her notebook.

"Can I take your order, then?" Her pencil poise to purvey any order from the poet.

"Could I perhaps have some tea?" She asked politely. "And some sugar, if it wouldn't be a problem?"

'No problem at all! What sort of tea would you like?"

"Do you have some sort of Chai? Or perhaps Lemon or Vanilla?" She paused for a moment, thinking. "Actually, dear... Surprise me."

"I think I know the perfect thing!" She rushes off to the kitchen and comes back with a delicate china cup and saucer, decorated with orange poppies and gold details, two sugar lumps are balanced on the saucer, "Lemongrass and chamomile. Perfect for a relaxing summer afternoon!"
