Hello there! I'm Vane and/or Kyle- I'm seventeen and drawing is pretty much my favorite pastime :>. I've only been drawing for about five years, but I studied art in high school... it had its ups and downs, but I'm better at drawing for it. sweatdrop
My favorite things to draw are cartoons/anime style characters and environments too (I'm that ridiculous person who actually likes drawing backgrounds)! I love making original characters and also fanart. I really prefer traditional art over digital, because I have more control but I'd really like to work on digital some more..
My favorite supplies are markers, watercolor (not too good yet...), and ink. I ALWAYS want to buy more art supplies- I have more than I'll probably ever use... Blick Art Materials is probably my favorite art store- I get soo overwhelmed in there, though.
A few of my favorite artists, or manga artists rather, are Kazuya Minekura, Nane Chrono, Kazuhi Takahashi, and the manga group CLAMP.
I want to open up some kind of art business/ shop in the future, and maybe also get into some sort of craft.. I also want to learn to draw animal type characters better.

Hey everybody! I'm riot!
I'm 24 and went to Savannah College of Art & Design's Atlanta campus!
I draw comics, concept art, and storyboards. I prefer sketching and traditional inking with brush over digital lines, but i'm just as comfortable coloring in Sai as i am with copics!
I also make costumes! i sew, work with fur and leather, and do mold making and resin casting! i take commissions and have a storenvy too!
I read lots of webcomics, manga, and indie comics. I reccomend Saga by Fiona Staples, Nana by Ai Yazawa, and Saint for Rent by Ru Xu!

I enjoy doing trades and collabs, i'm just rather busy, but dont be shy about asking!

gaia_kittenstar My favorite meduim is colored pencils. i really love to control my art and predict what kind of colors that will be applied (｡◕ ∀ ◕｡)

yum_puddi BlueRoseArkelle: I adore her stuff sooo much. shes the one that basically taught me how to color with the colored pencils i have. Shes is one of my biggest insperations. She loves all of her characters so much. She has so much passion for her work and it seems like art saved her life from all the really deep conversation she has with her viewers. I respect her on a human being and an artist level.

yum_puddi Sekiru: Her art style is sooo unique. I absolutely love all of her work and how she can be so care free about her work. This artist influenced how my males are drawn and my love for digital art. She makes amazing character design, funny comics, adorable chibis, and sexy men //COUGH COUGH The way she colors her stuff is also just so amazing and a great role model in my eyes.

yum_puddi Kathine: I know this person from real life and we have been best buddies for 3 years and on. Shes the one that basically taught me the basic composition of human bodies and taught me all about anatomy. She is an amazing friend and will accept anyone with open arms. I look up to her in so many ways, how shes so funny, how shes so focused on art, and how shes has a lot of fab XD The way she dresses is also so beautiful. We actually have personas that we ship and all of our friends ship us as well. She would be the god of lines and i would be the god of color.

gaia_kittenstar I have been drawing ever since i can remember really. I got really serious in art about 3-4 years ago. I realized my talent and i wanted to improve it and become an artist, whether its being a freelancer, or someone that works for a big company, i just wanted a good job that gives me the opportunity to be creative.
gaia_kittenstar I prefer traditional over digital art. Even though digital art has a lot of positives like being able to edit colors, transform things, and change many aspects of your art. I just prefer traditional because i love the feeling of the colored pencil or pastels in my hands. I feel a lot more connected to my art in that way and i feel like i have better control when i do so. I dont think i can be as accurate when i draw something on a pad and look at a screen. I dont have the funds to have a tablet that i can just draw on like a touch screen.

gaia_kittenstar Oh man. here are my pet peeves:
yum_puddi I really hate it when people rush me when doing art work. When im doing an art trade, people keep on asking me if its done when that other person only took an hour to make their work. It usually takes me at least 6 hours to make something well and it spans for a few days because i have other things o do, i cant just souly focus on it because i have other plans.
And since that person is so impatient i will rush it and give them garbage
yum_puddi i absolutely hate when people go and demand a request. I sometimes put up a request poll where people would ask me for request and such, you know the basics. i usually pick 2-4 request per poll because i can just do every single one because i wont have any time to myself. It pisses me of when i make one of these polls and people think that i should do theirs and constantly ask 'oh where is my request, where is it? you accepted it right? Where is it, hurry up and finish it, you owe me one.' I hate these types of people because for one, i dont owe you anything. Its a request, i can do whatever i want and pick who ever i want because your not paying me, im just doing this on my free time. Im not getting any bennefit from me drawing your character and dont say like 'oh its for experience' Sorry but i think my commissions, art trades, and my own personal art is enough experience.
