Anyone know any good free, flash and animation programs? Or just cheap doesn't have to be free.

I've done a lot of looking into this once long ago, and as far as I know it is impossible to find an absolutely 100% free animator, and ESPECIALLY a flash one.

Usually if you just google 'em or do some searching, you'll find that every one is 2 of 3:

- It's a Trial that limits the GIF or other extension animation file with a watermark
- It's a Trial that does not let you save/limits your saving/has a time limit
- It has a crappy editor with very little options, either in the trial or the full version

Protip: "Free" animation tools are usually a ripoff. I vaguely remember that GIMP might have the capabilities if you google it, but I've hardly ever used that program so I wouldn't know...

Now, I'm not sure exactly what type of animation you want to do, but I'd suggest just:

1. Get Adobe Flash CS3 or latest, either by trial or purchase or whatever means you wish, if you want to do professional ground animation. (If you're just wanting to do one animation, just use the trial)

2. If you're not into trials, or don't have that kind of change, I reccomend you go to (preferably) Best Buy or Walmart and look up the animation tools they sell there. They aren't too extensive, but they're good tools to start with and they're not that expensive. (I don't believe I've seen one for $40+)

Edit: (Don't you love it when it takes like two months for a response? This guild is dead. xD)

Gimp has an animation package called GAP. I just got it so I'm not to sure how good it is though.

If you're into traditional animation this program is good helping it look a little more smoother.

You have to download each pic file, but it works really well. I think I stopped using it though and just settled for movie makers instead. I think it was cause my comp started acting all weird with the video format, but you can still give it a try. 3nodding I used it for my senior art project along with Pixia.
