Jyrscan grasped the amulet in his hand, holding it up and letting the jewel dangle in front of his eyes for a few moments, studying it. Surely this could have been the relic he was after, seeing as how that man had been driven mad, presumably from the power within.
"If you hold the power I seek, trinket, then prove it to me."

The amulet plused once in the Magus' hand before the ash at his feet would begin to shift and reform into another shape. It quickly took form as a shambled skeleton.it barly held it balance and was clearly to frail to even hold its own weight for an extended time. But this was all the demon had to work with in the area, The ash from organics and bone was required for it to take form. And a single corpse would barely leave enough ash for a single form.

Should they escape this ancient hole Losak could recall some of its old ash spread throughout Invictus. But for now they were too far away from the surface.

Jyrscan held a face of stern command. He didn't look all that impressed, but this would suffice for what he needed. "It seems I found what I was looking for in this ruined city. Come, creature. I have need of you," he said with a hint of a devious grin creeping across his lips as he turned to a nearby wall and jammed his sword into it at about shoulder level. Focusing himself, the Magus uttered a foul incantation in an unholy tongue, pouring the dark energy coursing through him into his blade as he forced the blade down through the wall as if it were weak fabric. The result was a small portal, unstable but clearly displaying his black throne amidst its crackles and fluctuating ripples. Such a gate wouldn't hold for much more than a minute, especially with the amount of energy poured into it. As it was, Jyrscan had no intentions of staying here any longer than he needed to. "Now."

The skeleton burst into a cloud as it was commanded to move. Thenash and dust sifted through the air gathering at the magus' feet as it followed. Keeping such a frail form was not worth the demons time. Nor could it hope to do much other than slow down the new holder of its cursed amulet.

Jyrscan moved to step through the crackling unstable gate torn into the wall, swiftly disappearing through. It was near the end of its lifespan, and would likely collapse into nothing within seconds.
