Ugh.

So, I have a few twin characters, and two buddies of mine also have twin characters. And a decent number of the books I read or games I play have twins. So I got curious and decided to see if there were any twin-themed Groups.

There are MANY.

And most of them SUCK.

This has been the case for many of the things I look up when I'm curious about Groups for sharing my art in. Redundancy is out of control, some Groups are obsessively specific, and many of the obsessively specific Groups have clauses saying "but anything else is okay too." One of the Gaia Groups I was in recently had a general anime fanart folder. Anthro and Pokemon groups are beyond count, and most are poorly managed. Massive Groups have no subfolders and unlimited submissions, and the admins are absent. I've seen Groups made by people who hadn't been on deviantArt for more than four days!

Argh!

Fortunately, I don't think Groups are actually important, but eesh. It would still be nice to find active, well-run Groups for the things I'm interested in.

OMG yes finally someone who understands. Mind if I also rant about my experience with groups? It's been frustrating me a lot.
