An Unexpected Love

[Herod]

She nodded and smiled, "Yes, yes I do," she answered him. "Business is always good when you exclusively employ pretty young women." She laughed, but mostly to herself, her chuckle loosing enthusiasm as she realized that this was a much younger man then herself who cold be spending his day with said pretty young women. She decided to not focus on her insecurities and focused back on him as the line inched forward. She took a drag from her cigarette, looked up at Kimblee tilting her head to the side a bit and asked, "So are you a free lance alchemist or a state alchemist? I find the explosions I see during demolitions and festivals very exciting!" She grinned coyly.

((I wast thinking the same thing, on both counts *grins*))

"I'm glad that business is going great for you!" said Kimblee with a kind smile. He then paused for a moment, trying to decide how he should remark on the Madame's statement of employing pretty young girls. He wanted to give her a comment on the subject but in a way that wouldn't make him seem more intrested in the girls than her. After a few seconds, he knew what to say. "You employ young women you say? How kind of you to offer them such a stable economic start!" Solf nodded not only with agreement with his statement but at how well he had delt with the subject. He then replied "Well, I am a State Alchemist but unlike the others, I am given more freedom to exercise my abilities. I can't tell you very much about it but let's just say that I take orders from those of the highest ranks only." He chuckled to himself, knowing what he had just said must have multiplied his coolness factor by at least 10. "So, you enjoy explosions. How would you like to have a private showing? I mean, I wouldn't mind giving one to a lady as lovely as yourself sometime." He smiled and gave a flirtatious wink.

(Haha! It sounds good to me! Laughes uncontrollably.)

She beamed as he noted the start she was giving the young girls and not their looks. She had never felt so comfortable around a man before, so herself. She looked down at her feet and took a puff from her cigarette when he mentioned his working for the higher ups in the military. Of course she was curious, insatiably so, but she decided to play it cool and would wait for him to tell her later. She thought about telling him about her connection to Roy-boy, but she didn't want to give away her age. She grinned and replied, "I love explosions! I would love a private show some time, I can't think of anything I'd like to do more," she smiled following his remark, genuinely. She blushed a bit when he winked and thought she should offer to give him a private showing of her own fireworks but they had finally reached the front of the line. They proceeded arm in arm into the darkness of the haunted house.

At hearing her comment, Kimblee couldn't help but chuckle. He had finally found a women who shared his life long love of explosions. His heart was filled with so much joy, that his face began to blush. He couldn't believe it; he, the Crimson Alchemist, was blushing. As they entered the Haunted House, Solf reached for the Madame's hand. As he held her hand with a strong yet gentle grasp, he blushed even more. When the ride began, Kimblee hoped that the scary imagery on the ride would cause her cuttle with him. He caught himself praying to god for such an outcome, something that he has never done before. He thought "What is this woman doing to me? She is causing me act out of character. What does this mean?"

(So you have been busy eh? What is it that you have been doing, if you don't mind my asking? Smiles.)

She put out her cigarette before getting on the ride and sat down close to Kimblee, ecstatic that he was holding her hand, his touch felt hot, somewhat familiar, but new. She wasn't the type to get afraid easily, but she let out a slight "Ah!" and moved in closer when a skeleton popped out. It felt like a silly girlish thing to do, but she wanted to be close to him. As some robotic ghosts flew by overhead she nuzzled her face into his shoulder, feigning fear.

((Yep! I'm a river guide on the Colorado river, our season just started a week ago and they've kept me busy busy running day trips and cleaning all the equipment that's been sitting out all winter. The wind is like 50mph today, so we got canceled gonk ))

Solf's prayer was answered! Mrs. Mustang began cuddling with him after seeing some of the props on the ride. His heart was about to burst from his intense amount of joy. As the ride was entering a graveyard scene where a couple of robotic bats flew overhead, Kimblee turned to face his date. He wanted to kiss her so badly but tried his best to refrained from doing so. Unfortunately, he was unable to keep his emotions under control and moved in for a kiss. When he was about kiss her, he chickened out at the last second and did his best to make it look as if he was trying to move his head instead. He thought You idoit! Why did you stop!?!" However, instead of beating himself up over the matter, he quickly changed his focus back to fact that she was holding onto him. He knew that there will be other chances for him to kiss her so he sat back and enjoyed the moment.

(You're a river guide? That is awesome! Having your work cancelled for the day, however, is not. Also, Hughes, I don't mind. I believe Herod and myself welcome anyone to do what you did with your post. So, keep them coming ok? Smiles.)

I just stumbled on this again, abandoning this RP is one of my great regrets.
