Would your life be very different if you weren't a goth?

I'd be largely the same. I don't see eye to eye with people on a social level, so even without the clothing and support group of other people like me, I'd still be a social oddity. I'd be lonlier.
I'd probably spend a lot more time reading than socializing. My grades might be better? They are already good, but being alone would give me time to obessess into perfection.

I wish I had a snarky answer for that one, but I think it's my personality that puts me under the umbrella of Goth not the other way around. If Goth didn't exist I would still be that weird girl who reads all the time, over thinks everything, and believes in mythical creatures.

If I didn't become what I am today, I would still hang around the boring people I wasted 4 years of my life only to mimic them in every sense of the word. And as much as it did surprise them that I changed after I saw them again, I was even more pleased than them. But who knows, maybe I would still be that quiet kid in the back of the Class.

I would suppose that if I didn't become a goth, my career path would be incredibly different. I wouldn't have chosen to be an author if it hadn't been for this life choice I made.
Also, when I became a goth originally, I had shed most of my emotions, which has allowed me to think more logically. If I hadn't become a goth, then I'd probably still be conforming to some wierd society that wouldn't respect me even if I tried to fit in.
Frankly, I'm glad I am who I am, and if I wasn't who I am today, then I'd probably be knee deep in fads or fashions. It disgusts me to no end knowing what could have happened if I wasn't gothic.

i never really gave this one much thought, but....

in all honesty, I would have never left my overly small hometown, never traveled, never tried new things, probably worked in some boreing job for the rest of my life, never found my wife or raised my 3 kids. I would of never seen new orleans at 4am shrouded in fog, or read "the raven". Never ate bree en'crue in salem, nor watched a sunset over the ocean in california.....in short...i would have been just another ant in the mound trying to exist...another brick in the wall.

I don't really see how I would be any different. I'd probably still have the same interests, just never having heard any goth music.

I don't think I would have come to be as philosophical as I am...
I sure as hell wouldn't have had the amazing concert experiences I've had.
And I wouldn't have the roommate I have right now. [Let me thank my Elizabeth Bathory Obsession for that].

Well if I was still me but not goth, I'd be exactly how I am today.
I immensely enjoy the music I listen to, the clothes I wear( which is pretty much a style I have been attracted to since I was a kid)
So what if I didn't have a title, who needs them anyways.
So The answer your question is no my life would not be different. I am who I am.

Hmm, I'm not sure other than the fact
I might not be an artist because I lean more
towards distortion and the 'dark side'.
Drawing 'normal/pretty/realistic' doesn't work
for me.

I don't believe school would of been easier
because me being goth had nothing to do with
the fact people are retarded and materialistic.
