How do I add the fish to the tank?
Go to your aquarium, click on "My Aquarium Inventory", and click on "Fish/Creatures" and you'll see pictures of all your fish, drag one and drop it into your aquarium. That is how you add all items and fish to it.

If I leave gaia or am online for a while without attending my aquarium is it better to leave them in the Byron's tank or whatever it's called for that time?
It'll keep your fish happier if you leave them in your tank.

They should automatically pop up in your Aquarium Inventory without you having to put them there. If they aren’t there then I'd suggest to ask a Mod.
Are backgrounds re-usable or one-use? Like, if I have one background and then switch to another one, will I be able to get my old one back?
Yes, they are reusable, just get rid of them by clicking the "X" which will then put it in your aquarium inventory.
Does decorating my tank with a background, terrain, items, etc improve my fishes' health or happiness? Do they effect the Overseer's views on my tank?
Decorations do increase the fishes' happiness, but it's unknown if certain items raise their happiness more than others.

Fish happiness is, the happiness of your fish (feed them, etc.) and the tank's health is I believe all of your fishes' happiness and how well you're taking care of your tank throughout time.

You cannot clean your tank quite yet. As Gaia said, they'll be adding a lot more features in the future. Make sure not to confuse the frost when your temperature is on chilly or freezing for dirt!

Try refreshing the page, then check your aquarium inventory. You should be able to click and drag it back out.

Fish Info
I don't think I know how to feed my fish.
Go to your Aquarium, and on the bottom left there are some icons, click on "Food" and it'll open up a drop-down window that'll say "Loamflakes", click on it that and food will drop into your tank and the fish will have little hearts pop up above their heads.
Are there any foods that will make them happier besides the stuff it gives you?
You can only feed them that one type of food at the moment.
Where do you buy the food for the fishies?
Your aquarium already comes with a full stock of food. At this moment that's the only food that you can feed them. This food is also unlimited so you do not need to buy more.
How often do you need to feed your fish?
Once a day but you can feed them more if you want.
Is it possible to overfeed your fish?
Nope
Do your fish keep aging even if you are offline?
As long as they are or have been in your fishtank, they will keep aging.
Do you get a drop from every fish that dies?
Yes, every fish will give you their own going-away present.
If you buy fish in the marketplace, can you be sure they are not dying?
Yes, because people can only sell fish that have never been in their aquarium. Once you put the fish in a tank, you cannot sell it. So you know that you'll buy fish that won't die within days.
If you're gone offline for over 24 hours and miss feeding the fish does this decrease happiness in the fish? Does this kill the fish?
I was offline of Gaia for about 3 days and I noticed their happiness go down but they're still alive without having that attention or food for a while.
One of my goldfish is getting smaller than the other goldfish I've put in. Why?
They arn't getting smaller, if you have multiple fish in your tank, some are smaller then others because they're babies.

No, the fish can't breed but there are fish that are smaller then others that look like babies.
Can you purposely kill your fish?
You can't kill them but you can shorten their lifespan. Try and lower their health by not feeding them / paying attention to them / and put the settings on that they hate. I think they will always live up to their expected lifespan but it'll make sure that they die right after that's over.

Make sure to check your inventory and click on "special" and check thoroughly! If you still do not see it, PM a mod because you should be receiving items.

The fish do not age whilst sitting in your inventory, consider the fish in your inventory fish as cryogenically frozen fishie eggs, once they enter the water of a tank, they are born and will die after their life span has been lived out.
On another note, once a fish is put into a tank, I believe that you cannot take them out and still do things with them (such as trading or selling or inserting into a tank at a later date)

No. It turns upside down and floats to the top of the tank. You will have the option to "Flush" them.

No, they don't

Changing the settings constantly wont improve their health unless if you change it from something that didn't make them happy before to something that will.
Does putting more expensive fish in the tank improve tank health?
It doesn't, they're just for looks and to hurt your wallet.
If I have no fish in my tank, will the tank's Health reset?
No it will not.
Does changing the music make them happy so they don't have to listen to the same thing all the time?
Only if they like all the different songs that you switch it too but switching it for them wont make a difference.
Most of my fish have 4 hearts or more on their happy meter, but I got a new fish from the daily chance and he won't love me. Why?
New fishies will love you once you save after putting them in.

Nope, if your fish like the light on, you'll have to keep it on for them to be happy.

Pretty much. You'll have to have the same kind of fish in there to keep them all happy. Kind of like a salt water tank compared to a fresh water tank, you can't have both kinds together.
Currently I only have one set of Arrow fish in my tank. Will they be happier if I put the goldfish in too?
It makes your fish happier if you have a full tank of fish. (15 Fish)
How often does the happiness update?
The happiness updates when you save your aquarium, and your fish tell you if they liked the change you made by showing a heart. It also updates when you feed them? Whenever you see a heart, the happiness has updated. You need to save to keep the happiness from feeding.

I know you can turn the volume on/off, but is there a way to adjust it to make it not so loud?
Other then adjusting the volume on your computer, you cannot adjust the volume on the aquarium.
How do I take a screenshot of my aquarium?
There's a shortcut to Print Screen but I don't remember the buttons... but my computer has an actual "Print Scrn" button in the upper right hand corner so look for that. Then open up Paint or a Photo editor, and click "Ctrl - V" (A.K.A.) Paste. And then save it, load it to photobucket and share it here.

You do it just as if you were adding your House or Car to your profile. Go to "My Gaia", "Profile", in the upper right hand corner click on "Edit my Profile Layout", click on "Contest" then "+Add" My Aquarium. Also, make sure you're not using the "Classic" profile setting. It wont show up in that one.
