Ages

I'm just wondering how old most of us are. I'm 21, but I know it's not uncommon for people up to 50 being involved in LARP/Boffer. Sometimes older. Is there anyone older.

Also, what is the youngest age your group can become members?

I'm 18.
I know in my Belegarth realm, we have "hobbits" who are as young as 10.

I'm 18. Numenor (yes, yes, the famous Numenor that deserted Dagorhir blah blah blah) requires age 16 with signed waver from Parents.

I could care less who deserted Dagorhir. It's just a game.

Dagorhir rules varry by relm, but the official events you have to be 14 or 15 (can't remember) with a waver signed by the parents.

Sim-Terra has no such age restraints. As long as you can take modestly adult situations, and have your parrents sign a waver, your in...but then again...it's a VERY local group so If the GM knows you can't take the language and situations that goes on, they tell you flat out. Most of the people who play it are 20+.

I'm 20, here most larpers are around 18 to 28 and some older, just a few i know of that's over 50. sometimes the elder bring there kids so i've larped with every age from two months to 72 years old.

Are there many kinds younger than 18 LARPing with you guys?

In Belegarth, there are a lot who play who are under 18.
However, in my NERO LARP, there aren't many at all, and in the homegrown one I play, you have to be at least 18 due to the mature situations that take place in the game.

There are some under 18 here, depends on whwt kind of larp it is. Noone under 18 are allowed to larp vampire for example. If you stick to the week long fantasy larps there are not many that young. Most start at 16 with the shorter larps i guess.

I'm 20. I don't think the Maelstrom system allows anyone under 16 or 17 to join, for obvious reasons really...
