Anything-

Terry Pratchet

Robin McKinley

Tolkien

The Mageworlds Series(although it is out of print and HARD to find)

Stein(cannot find the author info at the moment but I will try and remember to call one of my relatives)

Monster Hunters International(have not read yet because my uncles stole the book from my mom and have been passing it around amongst themselves, so ovbiously it is a good book) also the author for this series has written a few unpublished funny outlines for a christmas book/series that will sadly never be anything more than a spoof but is hillarious and part one can be read here http://larrycorreia.wordpress.com/2008/12/22/the-christmas-noun/

If you're interested in future worlds, I suggest The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. The third installment, Mockingjay, come out in August.

Also, I loved the fantasy quest series, The Chronicles of Prydain, which includes The Black Cauldron. These are done by Lloyd Alexander.

I would recommend the Otherworld quadrilogy by Tad Williams. I absolutely love them! Plus anything by Terry Pratchett, the entire Dune series by Frank Herbert, and by Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson, and the George R. R. Martin books smile

I suggest the Elric Saga by Michael Moorcock. It's a really good series.

Ariel was a good read, but I don't remember the author's name.
