As Hari had been flying for quite a while in the air, she felt that it was time to take a break from her long enduring flight. Coming to a steady pace she began to balance herself for a smooth landing. Taking off was always easy, but not landing. You would think that at the age of 23 she would have mastered her landing skills, but no she had not. 'Come on, I can do this' she thought to herself. Finally! she had managed a modest landing by a stream in the forest.
As Hari had been flying for quite a while in the air, she felt that it might be time to take a break from flying for awhile. Extending her wings, she flapped them twice as she began to descend. She steadied herself for a smooth landing. Taking off had always been easy for her, but she wasn't quite so good with her landings. You would think that at the age of 23 she would have mastered her wings, but no, she had not. 'I can do this.' she thought to herself. Finally, after a few attempts, she managed a modest landing by a stream in the forest.

Hyo Kruzger lay by a stream in the forest, his head filled with thoughts of his home and family in Torstfol. He stretched out his arms and tucked his palms under his head. His right leg was propped up and the other was bent at the knee so as to hook his left foot on his right ankle. The young man had dozed off earlier in the day, but after coming to his senses hadn't yet deigned to get up and go on his way. He opted instead to appreciate the clouds in the sky and watch a strange looking bird that had been flying in circles for awhile.
The bird that was not a bird was Hari, who had been flying for some time, Hyo however, had no knowledge that it had been a Harpy all along until she landed near the stream by which he lay.
Having landed by the stream, Hari could drink the fresh water. As she was drinking, she realized that the coolness of the water was just perfect for bathing. While cleaning her feathers, she noticed that the sun was beginning to set. Losing track of time was not a good idea. She had to be on her way before dark.

Drying off her feathers, Hari was careful to be alert at all times. She didn't want to let her guard down and get ambushed. Who knew what lay within the forest. Hari was hungry and she knew she had to find something quick. From her perspective she would just have to do with whatever she could find. Walking along the forest, she managed to find tea-berries and butterberries. After having her fill on the berries it was time to get back home as soon as possible. But what was home to her? She had been orphaned at the age of 6. Hari had always felt like she didn't fit in with her own kind because they knew about her tragic past. Now Hari deep in thought had to put those memories aside for the time being. Just before she took off, she heard something in the distance.
It was a familiar sound that she use to hear as a child. It was a melody that her mother used to hum to her as she would try to sleep during a violent storm or whenever she got frightened. Her mother and her family were the only ones, who sung this melody. Hari didn't know if it was safe to venture or not. She had never flown over these woods. Now she was even more curios. 'What should I do?' she thought to herself.
She never knew her mother's side of the family. Here was her chance to find out, who was humming this melody. Maybe that person would hold the key to helping her find her origins.

Hallus Aurhund was foraging for food and cutting berries from a group of bushes in the forest. All the while humming a tune he knew quite well. As he cut the berries from each bush, he pruned them carefully, doing his utmost to improve the likelihood of there being a greater harvest in the next few seasons.
Hallus listened to the chirping of the birds, and to the burbling of the stream in the forest. It was serene, it was in balance. His humming seemed to resonate within the trees and within every being that lived within the forest, echoing across the expanse of the area around him.

As Hari ventured closer, her heart started to beat faster by the second. All her life she had been wondering and questioning herself about her extended family. What were they like? Where did they come from? Were they brave and courageous like her mother claimed them to be? 'But what if they don't like me?' she thought to herself.
Now the noise was coming from behind the berry bushes. Hari knew she had to be careful not to frighten the unknown stranger. Taking a leap of faith, Hari walked in front of the bushes. To her surprise it wasn't what she had expected to see. Instead she saw a tall figure, one with pale skin but darker than ivory. She felt frightened and embarrassed at the same time. "Oh, I'm sorry. Do forgive me. I didn't mean to disturb you. I'm just passing by," she said sheepishly.

..::Hallus Aurhund::.. Hallus would be seen by Hari, he was kneeling by a bush his face shrouded by a helmet of castle-forged bronze. As soon as she was able to see him, she would have noticed that the humming had ceased. After she apologized but just before she turned to continue on her way, the ivory skinned hermit spoke to her, his hand and knife continuing at their labor of pruning the bushes. "You are one of the Valkyrie, you are not from here." The man said, seeming to know all this without even glancing her way. "Why have you come here?"

Hari, was amazed at the stranger's remark. How did he know she was part of the Valkyrie. She knew that she should give him a decent answer, but yet felt timid at the same time. "You're right, I'm not from around here. My name is Hari. How do you know about the Valkyrie and where did you learn that song?" She didn't mean to be blunt, but she felt like she had the right to know.
