I get this a lot and it always makes me laugh XP

So whenever I let slip that I'm an Agnostic/Atheist I hear the same thing:

"Aren't you afraid of Hell?"

Heads up! If I don't believe in a higher power, what in the bloody blazes makes you think I believe in Hell or Satan?

So what are some common stupid questions you get asked and how do you answer them?

I've never actually had that question posed to me, but I suppose I would say something like, "Personally, I don't believe in Hell. I live my life according to what I believe in my heart and my brain to be morally correct."
Then I would follow up with the question of "Do you think Mahatma Gandhi is in hell? He spent much of his life dedicated to helping others improve their lives and breaking down the lies of the caste system."

>If they answer, "He's in hell" then it's a great chance to ask them why they would follow a religion that condemns Christ-like souls to hell because they are not Christian. Do they think that's a good thing to follow and worship? What about people who commit terrible acts and repent before their death? Do they deserve salvation just because they asked for forgiveness?

Ask questions and give your answers with the same (or more!) respect than they give you. If they are being nasty, chances are they are only trying to push you into being nasty so they can validate their opinion of you and your beliefs.
