I think what I hate about the whole "hipster" thing is that it IS mainstream, but in a really bad way. Look at stuff like Windows 8. They are going for this new metro look, and are starting an ad campaign geared towards hipsters. I don't get it. It's a fad, and an entire Operating System is selling to it. It's gonna fail harder than Vista.

The hipster thing is just... stupid. I've looked at it. Really looked at it. I get the feeling that it's trying to make nerdy cool, while cheapening the nostalgia and making the experience boring. the scarfs and glasses and jackets and unkempt look, it's like... "hey look at us, we're being unique and are a minority, but we're in all the Hot Topics and Spencers, making everything lame".

I really wish it would either go away, or become unfavorable in everybody's eyes.

I doubt you'll find any. Being a hipster is like fight club.

It's true, Zeromus (Paulson). You can't avoid hipsters, and they'll ne'er go away, but it doesn't stop me wishing a large-scale genocide upon them (And hippies), and I'm not afraid to admit that I'm a worse person for it.

Yeah, I don't get it. Apparently, there are a lot in Porterville, but I've never seen them. I see a couple stores that probably cater to them, but I would never step foot there.

I doubt it's like fight club though. They don't look like fighters at all.

Oh brother.
I hear the term hipster all the time and frankly, it's getting annoying.
I'm sick of hearing about it, hearing what people 'define' a hipster to be.
Why can't everyone just BE?
