Mass Effect - Here, there be pirates

[The Popinator]

Roma tilted her head, then giggled, waving her hand in the air to transfer the numbers over. "We'll be ready as soon as we're there. Lilat and I have been planning this for awhile!"  

[Pilotslover]

"Oh really?" Nocturne asked of her, apparently a little suspicious.  

[The Popinator]

"Well of course! They sort of...stole something from us." She played with the edge of her hood. "I mean, it was a commissioned job, and I take the work I can get, but then they didn't pay us. And Lilat took that really seriously. She's been planning this ever since they dumped us on Omega."  

[Pilotslover]

"I can understand that," He admitted, "Nothing annoys me more then someone not paying me for the work I do," Nocturne had a well established reputation so he tended to get paid based on that.

Well on that and the fact that Aria was his chief contact!  

[The Popinator]

Roma nodded and sighed. "Luckily we've got another buyer for something they hired us on to do, too, so we'll still get paid in the end." She shrugged as her omitool disappeared. "Well, I don't plan on being a burden on the trip there! Is there anything on the ship you need help with? I worked on weapons and engines in the Flotilla."  

[Pilotslover]

"Sure, let me give you the tour and introduce you to Lorea," Nocturne invited as he tapped the back of Maithan's chair and headed out.  

[The Popinator]

Roma nodded as she followed, looking around curiously.  

[Pilotslover]

He led her down into the bowels of the ship, pointing out useful things she'd need before stopping in engineering.

Lorea turned out to be an asari in dirty overalls with grease on her face.  

[The Popinator]

"Amazing," Roma said, and stood a little straighter when she saw the engine. "Amazing!" She giggled, leaning into the room. "Hello, my name is Roma'tan. Is there anything I can do to help here?"  

[Pilotslover]

Nocturne was hearing all the right things about his ship and felt quite pleased that Aria had set them up with someone with a little taste!!

"A new pet?" The engineer asked of her captain as she wiped her hands on a cloth, "I thought your adoption days were other, Nocturne?"

"Very funny Lorea," He rolled his eyes, "Play nice, I have some stuff to sort out to Mai so I'll leave you two to get acquainted."

"My name's Lorea," She greeted as Nocturne headed out. "Right now I'm just keeping her sweet."  

[The Popinator]

"She's a lovely ship." Roma looked around the room curiously, then sighed happily. "It's so nice to be on a ship again. I've been shore side far too long!" She laughed, spinning in a circle. "The sound of the engine, the hum under my feet..."  

[Pilotslover]

"I'll bet that drove you crazy." Lorea replied with a chuckle. "Well, the Waltz is a little temperamental just like her captain. She does what she wants and for the most part she's the loveliest ship you'll ever get to work on,"  

[The Popinator]

Roma laughed. "Oh, that sounds familliar. ...Which reminds me..." She pulled up her omni tool. "Lilat? Did you get lost?"

When Lilat didn't answer, Roma laughed again. "Well I'm sure you'll find your way eventually." She closed the omni tool. "If there's anything I can do to help, please tell me." Roma patted her chest. "Being good with ships comes with being a Quarian and all!"  

[Pilotslover]

"Doesn't usually come with being an asari," Lorea offered with a wink. "Still, we somehow manage to keep her going."
