Severus smiled. "Of course, dear!" But then a thought popped into his head and frowned. "Actually, wouldn't a map just be easier? It'll waste less of your time, and if you don't remember all I tell you, you could get lost quite easily. Hogwarts is very big." He snatched a map off of a shelf and handed it to her. "Here. I'm sure we'll meet again, and if you want, we can talk some more, alright? I really have to catch up with Luna." Severus winked at Gilderoy. "Goodbye, Lockheart!" He rushed down the door and disappeared. "Goodness, I didn't even catch the poor girl's name... I wish Luna would always be less stubborn!"

Eliza looks over the map and finds her first class.
Sure it would be easier but you don't find the sweetest nut without breaking a few shells!
Still she hoped she'd run into them sooner or later...even though it would present a new challenge being so far from home.
With people like she had met however - like Snape - it'd be easier to cope without the familarity of New Orleans and her friends from the bayou...
At any rate she eats a few bites of her breakfast to tide her over until who-would-know-till-when and buses the dishes before hurrying along.

Lily walked into the Great Hall, letting out a great yawn. She walked to her table and grabbed some toast. She nibbled on them as she walked out of the Great Hall. She bumped into someone and almost fell. She strightened and glared at the person. She saw it was Gilderoy Lockhart. She told him, "Be more carefull where you walk, Lockhart. We don't need every other girl trying to help you up when you do fall." she glared at him, once more then put on a smile. "But it is good to see you again." She walked away. She sighed when she was around a corner. "I don't know how people can fall for a face like that. I mean it's just too pretty. I just think it is a waste. One day, it won't be there anymore," she said to herself. Just then, a peice of chalk hit her. She looked up and saw Peeves. "Oh go bother someone else Peeves," she told him strenly.

"Oh er sorry.",he said turning pink as she yelled at him.

~Remus Lupin~

Remus entered the Great Hall, sleepy, yawning, and running a hand through his mussied up blondish brown hair. "Good.. yaawwwnn.. morning, everyone," he greeted his fellow Gryffindor's as he took a seat at the long table. He was still rubbing his eyes as he grabbed ahold of a piece of toast, slathered it with jam and jelly and clumsily ate it.

Severus stumbled back inside the Great Hall, not having found Luna. He sighed and sat down at the very end of the long Slytherin table. He glanced over at the Gryffindor table and watched the short scene with Gilderoy and Lily, chuckling to himself. But then his thoughts stopped altogether. That Lily girl... James follows her around like a puppy to its master! Wouldn't want him seeing me on my first day! Severus gulped down some pumpkin juice and rushed around the corner. Peeves was looking rather disappointed about something, and threw the chalk a bit more hard today... Severus headed towards his first class.

Lily walked into the Great Hall and sat at her house table. She smiled and some of the Gryffindors and grabbed a sandwich. It was lunch time and Lily would have a free period afterwards. Lily finished her sandwich and walked out the Great Hall doors, hoping to go sit by the lake.

After fainting in class, Eliza was determined not to have a *relapse* that afternoon!
She makes a sandwhich of meats and cheeses worthy enough to be considered a "Dagwood" but was actually a reginal favorite called a Muffalotta. Even more so with the hot baked bread at Hogwarts...
Then takes some Tabasco from her cloak, ever so gently adding a scientific drop to the blend. Too much might be too spicy but the right amount acually improved the flavor - noticing the face of the one closest to her, Eliza offers the red liquid.
Would you like some hot sauce?

areeka lestrange walked into the great hall. she sat at the gryffindor table where she could be alone and began thinking of spells she knew.
