WHY?! Itachi shouldn't have been dead because of that damn idiotic Danzo!

Itachi is still dead.

Well, Itachi dying was his own choice, he could have lived, he could have told Sasuke the whole truth and helped his brother.
But he didnt, he got himself sick from overusing the mangekyou, and he led his brother on until he got Sasuke to finally kill him.

I dont think he would have wanted to live anyways, he hates war. He wouldnt have enjoyed taking part in such a thing, which is exactly where all this is leading. He just wanted his brother to be a hero, it would have made him happy.

...But of course Sasuke is blowing that.

Danzo is an idiot, but he eventually dies. He intended to destory Madara Uchiha and Sasuke with some "special, ultimate jutsu" but failed in his quest. Danzo ended up killing himself.

And yes, Itachi's death was sad. He was one of my favorite characters. Sasuke's karma hit him hard in the face.
